I thought punting out of the end zone was a good call considering the opponent (especially on the first one with Brink still in the game). The odds of Montreal scoring a TD were low...an FG is only one point more than a safety.  The Bombers were lights out on kick coverage all night.

    1. Clarence Denmark. Great catches and 100% effort every game.

    2. Drew Willy.  Improving every game...playing well with inconsistent protection

    3. Chris Greaves.  For all the heat the OL takes, the left side is much better when he's in there

Consider this the MBB positive challenge...you know you can do it...

Couldn't help myself, stoked about tonight's win and needed to discuss it. Sorry for stealing the thread from our normal thread starters.

    The Good

-- The Maurice Leggett / Chris Randle Connection, teaming up for three tight coverage tip ball interceptions. Leggett is a legitimate ballhawk back there. He's quickly become competition for Tyron Brackenridge as the CFL's best safety.
-- Ian Wild ... 14 defensive tackles, he was all over the place tonight
-- Abe Kromah was an absolute run stuffer tonight. Just as I predicted before the game, I'll predict it after the game - Kuale has lost his job.
-- Derek Jones ... this guy is turning out to be a steal. Pure hustle player. Blocked punt and a huge block on ST to set up the big Stoudermire return.
-- The tackling tonight ... just to single out a few guys. If Big League Teague keeps up that tackling proficiency (which he lacked heavily earlier in the year) he could be a great NI starter on D for a long while in this league. Randle, Washington and Leggett also all made great strides in their approach to bringing guys down tonight
-- Troy Stoudermire is going to keep Aaron Woods out of the lineup long term if he keeps this up. He's a legit threat to break one.
-- The offense in the fourth quarter ... if we're within a possession late, we always have a chance with these guys
    -- Team discipline AGAIN

    The Bad

-- Our offense for the first 45 minutes of the game. Playcalling in particular.
-- Nick Moore ... hoping it's just rust, but as of right now, he's a REC2 getting paid like a REC1 and the fumbles aren't helping. Still a fan though, just not a great game.
-- The pass interference nonsense. Hate that this is what the CFL is coming to.

    The Ugly

    -- The uniforms. Good lord.
-- Matt Bucknor's face after Tyrell Sutton put a palm imprint in it on that stiff arm. That was NOT a good play by Bucknor.
-- Alex Brink. Thanks for coming out.

    We're 6-3!

Not to mention some key cogs were already there or were not very hard to acquire. Durant, Labatte, Picard, et. al.  It's easier to be a genius GM when the previous regime has already gone through the QB growing pains.

Dressler is 2.5 lbs. too light for our system...Willy's throws would bowl him right over.  Sheet is too short by a couple inches...can't survey the field if you can't see past January's butt.

Actually, without war, and I mean no war at all, none of the above would've happened.  War has become so ingrained in us - we forget to consider what a peaceful world could look like.

The idea that we must fight wars to create peace is inherently flawed.  This year is the 100th anniversary of World War I.  That war is the classic example of what happens when too many people blindly support war.

As for Duck Dynasty, I have no respect for that show; none whatsoever.

Between the various CFL message boards and FB, I like to think I've gotten to know Mark H a little bit over the past while. He's clearly very educated, intelligent, and EXTREMELY funny....this is my basis for what the Hutterite people of Manitoba are like, along with the extremely hard working and selfless folks who helped us sandbag in 1997.

Thanks for being a good example, Mark....even if you did leave Corb stranded by the side of the road. #MightyNeighbourly

All the power does not rest with one person. We have a president but are largely autonomous in our various jobs and responsibilities. I feel for anyone who has had a bad experience, but bad experiences happen in any walk of life. As for the idea that it's hard to leave, many of us are well educated and trained, we could leave in a heartbeat if we wanted to.

I certainly won't claim to be an expert on Hutterite colonies, but I do believe whether you live in a democracy, communism, capitalism, or whatever, there is good and bad in all walks of life.  But that, unfortunately, tends to be human nature.

You could easily pick out atrocities and horrible things that have been done in all of those societies.  It really comes down to people, you will get both the good and the bad everywhere.

I've been quite open about the fact that I'm a Hutterite. I'm a certified teacher, I've travelled to various places on the globe, I teach using more advanced technology than most of my non-Hutterite colleagues, I'm the collective bargaining chair for my local teachers' association, and for good measure I help out with moderating MBB, attend a few Bomber games every year, and watch the rest on our community TV.

If y'all want to believe I'm behind some kind of fence that I need to escape from - I suppose you're free to do that.
