Forecast 2022 Season: Rankings
West: Bombers - Still the class of the league Riders - In spite of MBB's best efforts, the Riders will continue to be a decent team - it helps that the other 3 teams in the West are not that good Elks - they have made some good moves - will squeak into 3rd Stamps - They'll be in the running, but the BLM/Dickenson situation will drag them down Lions - No, just no. QB protection just cannot be that abysmal East: Ticats - They still have the best talent in the East, but it won't be a cake walk to first. Came within a hair of a GC win Argos - their play in the trenches always gives them a chance. MBT makes more plays than he gets credit for. Potential to finish first again Redblacks: Masoli is more or less a .500 QB. Along with their other changes, they sneak into 3rd place - weakness of Cal / BC is also a factor here Als: they might take third. The other teams in the East have better players at the QB position, IMO. VAJ gives too many games away, and does not redeem himself often enough * Als and Redblacks will be fighting each other for 3rd place - all year

The Environment Thread
Hydro carbons are so much a part of the fabric of our society. Not everyone has a choice about what kind of lifestyle they live. Example: low income earners are bearing the brunt of the suffering - caused by the high gas prices.

They like music. Some people fly to attend sporting events, some for music, some to visit family or to spend time outdoors I guess I just classify all recreational travel the same - it has become part of the fabric of western society Those that can afford it are not going to let it go easily Everyone is counting on some pie in the sky government policy to combat climate change - but we're for the most part not even making minor changes as individuals

Yes, I missed Taylor. But Rose has played 1 season in Ottawa, 1 season in BC and 2 in Winnipeg In order for him to qualify, they would have to count 2020 as a season I don't know if they are doing that

You can? He needs to play 2 more seasons...before he's even eligible The only DB who'd be an option is Brandon Alexander The rest have not played enough seasons with the Bombers, and/or less than 5 in the league overall Grant needs at least one more season, to be eligible He has played parts of 2 seasons

The Canadian players have an impact on the overall product. But I'm curious - what do they complain about? This. I guess you could keep an American Guard around for 3 years, and then start using him to as a sub for your Canadians.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
It seems to me...none of the guys you've listed are situational players. They coaches will want them playing more than 49% of the snaps - or whatever the number is.

This accomplishes absolutely nothing. If a team has a talented American with 3 years experience, they want him starting - not subbing in for a Canadian I guess it could work in the trenches. But how many American guards or centres have been in the league for 3-5 years? Probably close to 0. Take the Bombers as an example: do they have an American DT eligible to rotate with Jake Thomas? No.

Adam Bighill could be the Bombers' 8th Canadian. I absolutely fail to see why this is a hill to die on.

Asking for more during negotiations, sure. But not getting an agreement in committee ratified and having to go back to the table...is a huge deal

Winnipeg Blue Bombers TC 2022
Well, I would think any tackle probably could, but it would depend on what the coaching staff's expectations are for that position In Winnipeg, the bar is set pretty high. On other teams, it was pretty much a gong show last season
