The Bombers haven't traded for him. Tongue, meet cheek.

It seems rare lately that DCs end up having success as head coaches. Mike Benevides Tim Burke Kavis Reed Greg Marshall Richie Hall Rich Stubler OCs are typically a better fit it seems.

How about GeeBrr?

What could be interesting is for each team to draft their 3 QBs.
-
This is exactly what I was thinking. Internationals probably have the edge in catching the ball, but the Nationals would do well with a solid running game.
-
Quite simple really, If you had a game, pitting a team of the best Nationals against a team of the best Internationals of the CFL, QB aside, who would win? I really thought about this today, and who my Canadians would be and it didn't seem like it would be as one-sided as you think. Who would be on your All-Canadian team?

2015 season ticket and Grey Cup ticket pricing info
TrueBlue replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I will disagree on the marketing ploy that happens everywhere bit. No other team in the CFL has ever asked for a three year commitment from their fans to give them the discount. The average price for a ticket will be the highest ever in history by the looks of things. Don't think that's necessary when the Bombers have 1000 club seats going for who knows how much, 46 suites and 30 or so loges - three big moneymakers that are in short supply or simply do not exist in places like Edmonton, Calgary and Regina. I hope the game sells out before the season begins, but I'm skeptical at those prices. Maybe the Bombers believe it will due to stronger than usual corporate support? Let me clarify. I don't necessarily mean that other CFL teams do this. I mean that artificially inflated pricing to compensate for discounting in general happens all the time. Especially in retail. The ever so popular BOGO deals you see everywhere is a clear example of this. -
2015 season ticket and Grey Cup ticket pricing info

It's far from a penalty. It's an inflated price that anyone would pay, season ticket holder or not. I very much disagree. Can't see how it's a penalty when everyone is paying that price. I think your beef is more to do with the actual face value of the ticket, as opposed to the incentive. -

2015 season ticket and Grey Cup ticket pricing info

The WFC are the ones who have to pay the additional expenses for the privilege of hosting, paying for the temporary stands to be installed, etc. They can't be handicapped by a price cap determined by the league that prevents them from controlling their own profits. Anyone who tells you the league is solely responsible for the pricing is wrong. On the note about the 3-year commitment discount, bottom line is it's a marketing play that happens all the time, everywhere. Quite frankly, once I heard about this promotion, I knew that the prices would be inflated. Think about it. If we have roughly in the neighbourhood of 21,000 season ticket holders and each one took advantage and renewed for 3 years, that's roughly $2,100,000 in ticket revenue that they would be losing. There is absolutely no way the WFC would allow themselves to lose that kind of coin, when the game will be sold out one way or the other. -
Kerry Joseph to start west semi final

Interesting.

Actually, kind of surprised that Sol beat out Bowman for MOP. He had a great year yardage wise AND reception wise. He showed some very good hands this season. 112 catches is not a small task. I can't even remember the last time a receiver had that many catches.

For both awards. I wonder how many times a defensive player has won both.

Playoff Prediction Thread - With Grey Cup Winner
TrueBlue replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
This is a good point, and why I would not be surprised at all if Montreal beats them bad. It could be a very similar score to their week #2 matchup. I'll go MTL 24, BC 15. In the West, EDM 20, SSK 14. -
Oranges and apples are both round fruit. One's just orange and the other is red.

I think if it wasn't playoffs he wouldn't have been activated. Which means they are likely trying to accelerate his game readiness to have him ready for situational purposes on Sunday. As I said before, with Lulay it is now a matter of when, not if.

Trestman's NFL time ending it looks like
TrueBlue replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There are larger problems with the Bears than Trestman. I've never been a big fan of Jay Cultler and his lack of leadership. Not exactly the type of QB that Trestman has been used to working with. The Packers spanking the Bears today aside, I think that Trestman's not in hot water yet. -
Yup, Toronto winning on Friday was what the nail in the coffin would've been. Have to have a better W/L record to replace the team in third. Ties don't cut it.

Als @ TiCats / Riders @ Eskis - The Final Showdown
TrueBlue replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Just an FYI Hamilton has to win by 8 points or more to win the division since Montreal took their first matchup by 7 earlier this season. They can win by less than that and take second. -
Bob Young Comments on CFL Officiating - Not Good Enough

It definitely looks like the actual LOS is between the 1 and 1 1/2 yard line somewhere.
