  1. You're being too kind. The turf was awful. Think of the same type of material that driving ranges use in their tee boxes. No underlay, no crumb rubber. It was rough.
  2. For those who went this weekend, please share your thoughts. What was good, not so good, etc.
  3. Not as far as I'm aware. There were meetings a couple of weeks ago.

  8. Hearing from people who have talked directly to JW since the signing, this was ultimately the biggest and most deciding factor for him.
  9. Likely not. Even if we were looking, which we aren't, no one outside of a few people in the Ticats organization even knew he was interested in coming back to the CFL.
  10. Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign defensive back Anthony Gaitor WINNIPEG, MB., February 1, 2018 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed International defensive back Anthony Gaitor. Gaitor has spent some of the past two seasons with the BC Lions while also signing an agreement with the New Orleans Saints following the 2016 season. Gaitor (5-10, 185, Florida International, October 9, 1988 in Miami, FL) originally joined the BC Lions in 2016. He made ten starts that season, recording 35 defensive tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and one forced fumble. Through his two CFL seasons, Gaitor has played 23 career games, notching 73 defensive tackles, three interceptions, two defensive touchdowns and two forced fumbles. Gaitor played collegiate football at Florida International from 2007-2010, recording 197 total tackles, 11 interceptions, 19 tackles for loss and four sacks. He was a seventh round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2011, and has also spent time with Miami and Arizona in the NFL.
  11. The majority here had spoken. Nothing anyone can do now.
  12. Winnipeg Blue Bombers agree to terms with CFL all-star cornerback Chris Randle WINNIPEG, MB., January 23, 2018 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has agreed to terms with international cornerback Chris Randle on a two-year contract. Randle was scheduled to be a free agent next month. The Utah State product will enter his fifth season with Winnipeg in 2018, coming off an all-star season in which he was also named the team’s most outstanding defensive player. Randle finished the 2017 campaign with 60 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, one sack, five interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns. “Simply put, Chris Randle was one of those players that we knew we needed to work something out with prior to February 13,” said General Manager Kyle Walters. “He is a leader in everything he does. He’s coming off the best season of his career and we’re looking forward to more of that in 2018. He’s a special player and an invaluable asset to our locker room, and I’m glad we were able to retain him.” Randle has now played in 89 career regular season CFL games over six seasons, including 58 with Winnipeg. He has amassed 233 defensive tackles, 56 special teams tackles, three sacks, 15 interceptions, four forced fumbles and four defensive touchdowns.
  13. Guys, in no way am I trying to pump Davis' tires, or justify his spot on the roster. I know nothing of the future of the backup QB position. All I am merely saying is that the guy is still here for a reason, and in my own opinion needs to see a little more game action before determining his fate. If one of our prospects comes in to camp and outperforms Davis, then a decision will have to made between him and Lefevour. We'll see what happens.
  14. Sorry to put a bummer on your day. I hope you're over it now.
  15. C'mon you guys don't remember the infamous retirement post?
  16. And the Oilers have McDavid, but I'd rather have Scheifele and Wheeler for less.
  17. The number of seasons is not as important as people think, when you factor in he didn't throw a single pass in 2016.
  18. No offence at all to Bond, but I'd argue Randle is more of the "core" of this team than Bond.
  19. Calvillo and Allen both had shaky starts to their careers after significantly more playing time than Davis has had so far. Allen in fact had under a 50% completion % and close to 1:1 TD/INT ratio for his first 5 seasons in the league.
  20. That would hold true if the coaches felt this way about Davis, but they don't.
