  1. Interesting that you have Tate ranked so high. Take a stab and try and rank the rest...
  2. Mine is something like this: Zach Collaros Bo Levi Mitchell Mike Reilly Ricky Ray Drew Willy Trevor Harris Henry Burris Darian Durant Jonathan Jennings Kevin Glenn Matt Nichols Jeff Mathews Travis Lulay Jonathan Crompton James Franklin Drew Tate Brett Smith Rakeem Cato Jeremiah Masoli Jordan Lynch John Beck Danny O'Brien Dan LeFevour Thomas DeMarco Mitchell Gale Adrian MacPherson Jacory Harris Brandon Bridge Dominique Davis Keith Price Brian Brohm Bryant Moniz Anthony Boone Greg McGhee Tino Sunseri Tanner Marsh
  3. I should clarify that we are ranking them based on what you feel is their current stock value in the league, not just career performance.
  4. The weeks after Christmas/New Years are quite possibly the slowest around these parts since transactions are fewer and far between. Not to mention a lot of people are dialed into the NFL postseason. So I thought it would be fun/interesting/stupid to get a thread going where we simply rank the 2015 QBs who had playing time last season based on our own opinion of who we'd want on our team. No need to give reasons for your rankings, but be prepared to defend any of them if questioned by another member. The only rule is that you must rank ALL of them. Let's keep this fun and light-hearted and see where it goes. Here's the list based on their 2015 passing yardage: Henry Burris Bo Levi Mitchell Trevor Harris Zach Collaros Matt Nichols Kevin Glenn Mike Reilly Rakeem Cato Jonathan Jennings Travis Lulay Brett Smith Jeff Mathews Drew Willy James Franklin John Beck Brian Brohm Ricky Ray Keith Price Robert Marve Jonathan Crompton Tanner Marsh Drew Tate Brandon Bridge Tino Sunseri Anthony Boone Dominique Davis Darian Durant Jacory Harris Jeremiah Masoli Danny O'Brien Mitchell Gale Bryant Moniz Greg McGhee Jordan Lynch Adrian MacPherson Thomas DeMarco Dan LeFevour
  5. Optics. Meaning Brohm's inevitable release will come at a time when it doesn't seem like it's simply a result of this extension.

  7. I'd respond, but would it be non-partisan?
  8. This is indeed a good move. He's the best backup we've had around here for sometime now.
  9. Ray's name is not even on the table anymore. Resigned before the New Year and will most likely be starting for the Argos this season.
  10. I think they'll have a hard time enforcing a penalty of that magnitude when they can point out that tampering is pretty much "standard practice" in the CFL. It's time for the CFL to start following it's own rules on personnel movement before the courts get involved. This certainly gives Orridge a mandate to accomplish something major during his tenure. If there is any kind of tampering, Orridge should come down hard on the Eskimos, fine-wise, and draft-pick wise. It's not as if Ed Hervey doesn't understand what's going on and is naive to the rules. The Alouettes believed they had a solid contract with Thorpe, and they did. They'll have to be compensated. Take a pick or picks away from the Eskimos and let them appeal that ruling. Fine Hervey..hard, for doing exactly what he knew to be doing. Fine the Eskimo org., because you have to. Orridge has to be tough here, and set precedent. Hervey has been fined twice already, so obviously the fine isn't getting it done. Eskimo 1st round pick goes to the Allouettes should get the message out there. Problem is, you can't exactly create further penalties for these types of things, like surrendering draft picks to other teams, unless it has been predetermined in writing. I'm sure the Esks would have a major issue with the league making them the example just because they were the first ones to do it.
  11. Only a 4.7 yard rushing average though, lowest of his career. That's concerning for a guy who will be 29 next season. I'd still like to see him here but hope we wouldn't break the bank. That's the stickler, I'm sure Harris is seeking the biggest payday of his career. If the Bombers balk at paying twice the going rate for a RB, he may find a new home in Ottawa or Montreal. After the way both Powell and Jeremiah Johnson emerged this season, I doubt Ottawa ponies up for Harris.
  12. We need an offense that doesn't fall into a second half slump, that can consistently score points in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Teams were 64-15 this season when scoring more points than their opponents in the second half. The D did well with second half adjustments as the season went on. I hope that can continue.
  13. Or they could just not play at all...
  14. There is this fascination with this for sure with the Bombers based on our field production, ticket sales, stadium issues, parking, or just hatred in general. Any other franchise with a million problems to sort out would get the same scrutiny.
  15. Perception is playing a key role in how people are choosing to react to this story. Yes it's unfortunate that this mistake happened, and yes, there will be actions that will take place in order to prevent this from happening again. Sometimes an error has to happen before a flaw in the process can be spotted. It's sucks but it's reality. Thankfully, in this situation, it all worked out. People will consider what they have read or heard and form their opinion of what happened in between any gaps in the story. For those that believe that the club is "corrupt" because they were purposely keeping things a secret should consider what the club's track record on information disclosure with relation to the 50/50 has been in the past. They've always been fully transparent, wouldn't you agree?
  16. I don't think I would suggest that yet. There's little proof in his capabilities so far that I would suggest he's ready to lead a team, or even think that he'd be successful with a different team in an OC role.

  18. Off the LaPolice topic for a second, and I might be in the minority here, but I am not sure where the Jason Maas hype comes from. Is he a young and up and comer? Quite possibly, but he has had one year as an OC, on a team that was quite literally stacked at the receiver position with a future HOF QB that was lucky enough to stay healthy all season. Prior to that he was an assistant in TO, working with yet another future HOF QB. I'm not discrediting at all what he did in Ottawa this season, but I don't think that it was as much him, as the level of talent they had on the offensive side of the ball that made them so successful. I could be completely wrong, but I'm not sold on him yet.
  19. So.....VP of Football Ops, GM, Head Coach, and DC. Did I miss anything??? If he was stretched any thinner, he'd be invisible. Good luck with all that, Chris.
  20. With the long list of free agents that the Esks have, I would expect Jones to lure many over to Regina. I would not be surprised in the slightest to see the Riders finish ahead of them in the standings next season.
  21. Speaking with a girl from MBLL last week and there looks to be 3-4 more craft breweries/micro breweries coming into Manitoba over the next 12-18 months.
  22. Cortez is probably the best Xs & Os guy there is around that is available. Where he lacks I think is on the interpersonal level, which is why I still question how he handles any type of adversity.
  23. Game is officially sold out. Announcement to come soon.
