Canadians in the NFL Draft
Yeah I can't really hold picking Mulumba against Mack. And either way, the odds are still in our favor that he plays for us eventually. In hindsight, we could have had Edem and likely would have if Walters had his way, but the pick was a gamble either way. Funny year, that draft year.

Bombers sign Jamall Westerman
I was thinking the same but I think it's for two more years

Bombers sign Jamall Westerman
3 year deal you have to be ****ing kidding me. I thought at max they'd get him to commit for two, but to have three years of control is unbelievable.

Bombers sign Jamall Westerman
I'm sure plenty of people will be scared by the price tag, but the reality is that this guy is going to be consuming a ton of snaps for us as a Canadian starter at an impact position. And has the potential to be very effective at it.

Bombers sign Jamall Westerman
Question for you Where do you think he is more suited to ? NT, 3-techinque DT or on the DE ? Would almost guarantee he's going to be the guy who takes Greg Peach's spot.

Bombers sign Jamall Westerman
Absolutely huge signing. I originally thought the Bombers were going to go after him earlier this offseason. You can learn a lot from who follows who on Twitter. But then all those reports that BC and Toronto were strong after him came out and I figured we were out of luck. This is huge for us.

Blue Bombers acquire defensive back in trade with Calgary
I think between Hurl and Newman, we'll have a decent amount of production from a Canadian LB spot and to be honest, I don't really care where on the field that is. I'm not expecting it to be in the middle but that's what training camp is for.

Who is your surprise training camp cut?
I think it's Bucknor. Actually, you make a good point.

Who is your surprise training camp cut?
I have to admit, I think if the new rules are going to affect anyone in our secondary, it's Washington. Surprise cut ... my money is on Don Unamba or Bruce Johnson.

Blue Bombers acquire defensive back in trade with Calgary
There are a good amount of guys like Demetrius Wright who are listed as DBs who are definitely going out for the SAM spot. Gabe Lynn is another off the top of my head.

Blue Bombers acquire defensive back in trade with Calgary
We didn't dedicate over 10% of our mini camp roster to finding middle linebacker candidates just to start Hurl there.

Canadians in the NFL Draft
Worth mentioning - Browns mini camp is also this weekend, before the draft

Rodney Lamar and Khalil Bass, the herd is pretty thinned out by now. I bet we lock up at least one more MLB candidate before camp though.

Canadians in the NFL Draft
Considering the number of Canadians the Giants invited to their mini-camp, those dates are perfect (May 8-9). Let's just hope Walters or someone in the Bombers organization has some connections with he Giants to find out those players standings and likelihood of them getting offers, if they haven't already received them by May 12. Could be a coincidence, but between Da'rel Scott and Nate Collins, you might suggest we've got a contact with the Giants.

Canadians in the NFL Draft
Even if he wasn't signed, he's a mid-to-late pick at best. This draft is too deep, you wouldn't be trading a first or second rounder for a neg list QB.

Canadians in the NFL Draft
Good point - most mini camps are next weekend so offers may be determined by the CFL Draft

Bombers sign WR Lavasier Tuinei
I'm going out on a limb but I love this signing. As a big time Ducks fan, this guy was absolute money in the Rose Bowl in 2011 and he's exactly what we're looking for at receiver. Not a burner but he's the closest thing to Chris Matthews we've had since. 6'5", 220 and he's got great hands. He's just on the slower side. No idea why on earth Tedford cut him. But I love it.

Sign Willy!
Funny how oblivious you are to what's staring you right in the face.

Sign Willy!
No, Walters said this year's cap number isn't affected. He got $150k of his $250k salary upfront. That's the only difference. Which is awesome... Just to add context, this came from Walters himself on H&L tonight. Which I also found out from sweep the leg. So there you go. 250k cap hit this year.
