There is no way the CFL would purposefully reduce the merchandise sold from two teams by making the jerseys look ugly. It isn't like those teams fans are going to buy another teams jerseys. That would just be throwing money away.
I have heard that other teams, including SK, have had some say. I've heard the Bombers say they had none. Don't know if we will find out the truth.
I wonder if this was all decided before the Miller regime took over and they are just trying to distance themselves from it and move on.
I can't see this as likely. Too much money involved in the design and production of something like that to risk doing it again. Do the minimum that the contract stipulates (whatever that is, wearing it once or twice this year and next), and cut your losses.
I would dare say that it is the "hardcore" fans who would be the most likely to drop $200 on a new one time jersey then casual fans.
There was an opportunity here, and it was missed. No, it is not the end of the world. As a "hardcore" Bomber fan, it is just disappointing.
Photo shopped with effects, they don't look bad.
But those actual shots with Willy and Vega, I don't like the jerseys at all.
Too much of a single colour all the way through. Just look too bland. The digital camo isn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. Throw is some gold on the pants, and they might not of been that bad.

I know you weren't necessarily criticizing them but can't really blame colleges. NCAA coaches get paid for wins and performance just like any coach. They aren't affiliated with the NFL.
They will do what gets them wins.
You have to think the Riders would have budgeted to have some money socked away to offer Dressler or Sheets or both a contract if they didn't make the NFL.
If they didn't, then Taman should be looking for his next gig.
I never hope for injuries on opposing teams. If you can't beat a team legitimately, then get better yourself.
At some point the wins / losses between the two divisions need to start evening out as inter-division games get played more.
Although other then SK / BC next week, it is all East vs West again.
For sure we are in tough in the West, but we are still well into the thick of things. Hopefully we get back on track starting with next week.
