IF you tackle the guy before he's already returned the ball to midfield the holding never has a chance to happen... When you let a returner get to the point where there's only one guy with a chance of stopping him you've failed in your coverage a long time before. That's absolutely true, but it doesn't mean there wasn't a hold and that it shouldn't have been called. yeah but when the coaches break down the film you think they will say to the team "OK it's not your fault, the refs just missed the holding"? What they're going to do are highlight the guys who didn't contain the returner initially because that's where the biggest mistake on the play came in. I really don't see how the 2 things are related. Of course the coaches will use the film to illustrate where the play broke down and point out the errors, so they can be corrected. That's their job and it's the players job to execute. Just like the refs blew a call that it is their job to make.... But I doubt they will be looking at film to see where they failed.Two seperate things: The Bombers failed to keep their lanes and make a tackle and the refs missed an obvious hold. As part of their jobs, refs will look at tape before and after games. The after part is to review what they did well and what they didn't. They also get graded on their performances. Those grades determine things like who gets to ref playoff games and who gets promotions. Those reviews just aren't made public. Nor should they be. Refs are humans and are making split second decisions There will always be mistakes. But their performance most certainly is reviewed.

The stadium is expandable in the end zones. More capacity was a requirement to host Grey Cups. Surprised they would put them up for this game.

Liebl works best as the third wheel who occasionally pipes in on the show. He plays the "young gun" role quite well. Not a fan of him as the show's main host. Also not a fan of Rewucki. He doesn't have a great radio voice. Just doesn't come across as polished.

Probably nothing. The Reebok's of the world usually bid to provide the jerseys to professional sports teams and in return get income from the sale of jerseys and other merchandise. That is why the teams will have a minimum number of times they have to wear them.

I don't know. I think if he was using coke when he was here that someone would have known about it and people wouldn't be so shocked by it. The ones shocked by it are the fans, who would be the last to know. You can't tell me no one on any of the CFL teams are doing those drugs just because we don't hear about it or they don't get caught. A CFL dressing room is a small eco system representative of society. A percentage of those people are going to be doing drugs.

It is unfortunate that that criteria has been the mark for a good owner if you look at some of the past CFL owners. Let's hope we can change that going forward.

What does it matter what he says? You've already pretty much said you are only going to believe the things he says that fall in line with your own beliefs. Anything else will be dismissed as rhetoric. I prefer a coach who entertains through the product on the field and not his press conferences. Welcome to the current age of sports...

Duressler47 really hasn't been that bad. Does he get the odd dig in, sure, but what do you really expect. As long as it is done in good taste and not just to stir thing up. It isn't always easy posting on another fan base's forum, especially when its a rivalry like there is between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg. He has been pretty gracious taking the digs tossed back at him, which is really what he should somewhat expect coming here. And you can't really fault the kid for being born after the Riders sucked. If anything, it is good to see the younger / next generation continuing fan interest in the CFL ... whether they are Rider fans or not. A rider fan coming here to post, who isn't here to just troll, just proves he is a fan of the CFL just as much as the Riders.

Where is he making good money? A backup QB was probably making at most 100k last year. Gets the double whammy on taxes and hasn't been employed in football for almost a year now. Certainly not "set for life" type of money. Especially if you are flushing it away on drugs.

While I'm not a fan of how much they paid Burris, the nice part of signing Burris was what they got in return for Glenn. For an expansion team those Canadians are going to be super important in the upcoming years. They are still going to have to pay up to find and develop a qb because of Burris' age but I can understand the gamble they took to want to be competitive with Burris. But at least he was only a FA signing . They gave up nothing for him.

I like them. Remind me of BCs but with the numbers more legible.

The decision to punt is more a confidence in his defence then offence. If you give up the safety you are giving up 2 points and giving them the ball back. If you punt, you are believing that your defence can at least hold them to a field goal. So far it has been working well for him. Will they give up the TD one of these times? Sure, but I prefer the more aggressive believe your D can get the stop approach. I think you see him give up the safety if we either have a large lead where the points don't matter so much, or we are against a heavy wind.
