Yes, this is an opinion I exclusively hold because I’m a Rider fan. This has nothing to do with football as a whole, just the fact that I am a Rider fan. I’m sure every single Bomber fan on this planet LOVES the five yard cushion and would never want the fair catch brought in.

I believe Dinwiddie actually personally went out and god Arbuckle. The familiarity with him & Rogers/Daniels was a major selling point. So I agree it’s a red flag.

Here’s something I found pretty interesting:

With Winnipeg clinching the west division last night, it gives us 3 different top seeds in 3 seasons (Calgary ‘18, Sask ‘19, Winnipeg ‘21)

The last time that happened was ten years ago (Sask 09, Calgary ‘10, BC ‘11)

That is an absolutely bizarre stat. Between 2012-2018, Calgary won the division 5 times, BC once, and Edmonton once.

I said it on RF, I’ll say it here. A team will have to play essentially perfect to beat Winnipeg. It’s possible, unlikely, but possible. The Bombers don’t have any glaring weaknesses to exploit.

I kept track, Evan Johnson gave up 6 pressures. Clark gave up 3, Ferland gave up 1. Evan Johnson got caved by Mike Rose.

But what frustrates me more is Jason Shivers’ insistence on running zone D. It’s terrible. It’s soft. It’s so easy to get 7+ yard through the air on Shivers’ zone D.

As much as I am a Rider fan, I would hate my own fan base if I wasn’t a part of it, and I still hate it. I’m a CFL fan, and a football fan… no luck. Pure talent.
