Yeah why pay for the best WR in the league when you can get a beat up Schoen for 5 games at half the price? That's money well spent right there!
-
not sure how anyone can think its wrong for a player to look out for himself....The meat grinder of pro sports wont for you...U can get tossed away and denied a legally agreed on bone's at anytime at the teams discretion
We are a better team with him....and a poorer team with others we have wasted money on
and as for thr bolded part....100 percent...this wasn't an isolated incident
thats happened in several instances actually

As he should. Kenny may be talking the talk but he is also walking the walk. The Ticats are getting full value for a contract we felt was too much. It was a mistake by Walters to let him go and there is no sugar coating it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a player knowing his worth and not being happy when his former team would not recognize it. Why should he take a slap in the face offer to stay. This is Walters missing the mark on a players valuation as he so often does.

Deiter Fan got a reaction from Booch in Bombers at TiCats early chatAt a time like this I'm reminded of the many times the team won a close game and you or someone else pointed out flaws and people would chastise you/them for not just being happy with the win and how "good teams find ways to win close games"...when...in point of fact...good teams are constantly analyzing, adjusting, critiquing and improving so there aren't so many close games.

Deiter Fan got a reaction from rebusrankin in Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion ThreadMOS is an obstinate donkey and the more he talks the less I like him. As a guy behave how you want, I wouldn't care or comment but it's clear that attitude bleeds into his coaching.
Well that's weird. Who would expect a bunch of speculation about a franchise QB's injury when absolutely zero information is forthcoming? He's well within his right to not share info but then to whine about people speculating is just being obtuse.

I’m forever grateful for the ascent of 2016-18 and kings of the mountain 2019-21… but the last few endings have soured me on the Bombers saying they value the person/player first.
When I read O’Shea’s quote from Tait, “But as of anything, any time a guy gets nicked up we are always going to put the player first.”
Sadly my first thought was calling BS. I’m sure he thinks and believes this. However, his actions from ZC to Bighill, Bailey, Schoen and many others (even Wallace last game) show that maybe he doesn’t really know what that means… that or the Bombers medical staff is negligent or being overruled.

Its pretty obvious the injury...the extent of...not totally but he got knockedthefukout...and this the 3rd time...we know of this yr that he has been dinged good enough it cause some kind of head trauma...so much they yanked him from 3 games...sat out a game...and who knows if hes been rattled and nobody knew...some of his play this yr he seemed in lala land.
And with our penchant of playing guys hurt for them to yank him...must been something significant or gave them cause for concern
So Milt stating the obvious about whats maybe best for ZC and his thoughts on it are not out of this world and surely not in the minority..and really didnt warrant the response it got from Osh

Deiter Fan reacted to captaincanuck12 in Banjo Bowl GDTWell after this loss we'll be 500. We have no quarterback no defensive line. No offensive line. Too many problems to overcome the season that should have been addressed in the off season.

The way they handled the situation with Schoen is a black mark on the whole franchise. Rushing him back for the start of this season, then rushing him back after a month with a known (second-time) torn ACL is inexcusable. Someone needs to legit lose their job for that.
-
then a guy like Gauthier outta go up too then...played forever but has actually had impactful play over his career and instances where if not for him...we'd have been toast
Jake should never get on for hanging around 5 yrs past usefuness...and even during his usefulness...never piled up the stats and was a game changing player by any means
-
He likely thinks he can still go and that hes doing what is asked of him. He probably thinks he is just 1 guy on the team. Likely a leader in the room due to his amount of time spent in the league now and only with us. Prob hears or sees the criticism but has probably also hesrd that for a long time.
sad but likely true….. one day, Jake Thomas will go in the bombers ring of honor.

Deiter Fan got a reaction from Goalie in Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion ThreadWhat's going thru the mind of a guy like Jake? Does he recognize how much he's dropped off? Does he sense he's more a hinderance than a help? Does he allow himself to doubt that assessment because the coaches continue to have faith in him? Expecting him to ask to be sat in favour of someone else is obviously not in the psyche of a professional athlete...but do you think he ever feels a measure of guilt or shame knowing someone else could do a better job for the team?
Having never been a pro football player I can't put myself in his shoes.

And even then he gets to either **** it for a half to full yr...some multiple yrs if you a coach fav
-
The point is, there were plenty of people said "hey Lawler is good just not getting lots of opportunities", where as there were others insisting that receivers weren't all that good.
Opportunities are the key and we don't give guys opportunities unless an incumbent gets hurt or completely shits their pants.

Never ever said I was unhappy with Wilson as he is one of the vets if healthy that we dont need to move on from....so dont put words in my mouth,,,if anything I have said Kyrie if healthy is a top WIL in league and has shown as such.....,especially last 3 games
T.Jones is ok....has holes and would flourish more situationally...Is poor in his drops and isnt really capable of coverage...He was great when paired with J.Jones and was able to mirror how he dropped tho...and we need to have both on roster to be our best
And if a player is better....he shouldn't have to wait and bide time....delaying these guy coming in...what did it accomplish ir do?....zero
We are losing games due to poor coaching and roster use....guys not coached uo or schemed properly let alone at times seem prepared...Thats where we are lacking....and the roster seeming weak is also hand in hand with not playing rhe right guys we have....and not continually looking for guys to upgrade our PR and or roster
who said anything about Osh scouting?

Deiter Fan got a reaction from GCJenks in Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion ThreadUnfortunately not everyone is capable of that sort of introspection and change. I look at it from a perspective of what I know (broadcasting/announcing) but I'm sure we could all point to people in our given professions who are just not capable of making changes to their process. At some point in their past they enjoyed a measure of success and decided there was never a need to change.
I look at someone like Rod Smith. He is who he is. Someone gave him a job which reinforced his confidence in his style/process and he has never changed his style and he never will. Unfortunately he really isn't very good. He may have been good enough when he was hired for his first PBP gig...but he's never even bothered to considered improving/changing. So we get endless repetition of already mentioned stats/facts and non sequiturs.
MOS is who he is. He's had success being who he is. I think he feels confident that his process is fine and needs no modification. In his mind if there's issues they lie outside of him and his process.
