ZC confirms what many others believe - Dru Brown could be the best QB in the CFL.
So, if that is the case, why on earth would Winnipeg let him go elsewhere?
Obviously if we can only afford to keep one of either Brown or Collaros - it has to be Brown.
“Under the right leadership and coaching and play calling and all those things, I think he can be one of the best if not the best guy in the league. I truly feel that way about Dru,” said veteran quarterback Zach Collaros.

Exactly. Biggie hobbling around only to get absolutely torched was on coaching.

I can guarantee you if you asked MOS in hindsight would he have made the same decision in starting AB and DS, he's answer would be:
    'Absolutely without hesitation.'

I don't buy the injury bug.  So they are hurt.  Still doesn't stop you from running 10 yards to make a play.  If the ball has some zip then Montreal doesn't have a play on the ball or worst case they draw a PI.  Brady was healthy and could be a receiver.  Was McRea dressed?  Grant could have also been a receiver.

Yup. And further - since the covid season in 6 playoff games ZC has just 4 TDs and 8 INTs.

1:2 TD:INT. Unacceptable for a rookie, never mind the highest paid player in the league.

Let's face it....the biggest concern is the 'fall off' in Zacks game...He isn't the qb. of a couple of years ago....The most important position on the club has to be addressed.....IF we let Brown walk in fa without letting him know he's considered to be the guy in waiting , then we deserve the bleak future that will be awaiting us....In any event remaining status quo is not going to cut it here anymore....Tough decisions are on the horizon and I would clearly luv to hear what is the future of one, Kyle Walters, with regard to his future and intentions with the club...We need to set this straight immediately and IF we're going to be in the market for a new GM, we better get on it....Also Buck Pierce's status with club should also be forthcoming as well....Lot's of work to do

I reacted with "sad" a lot in this thread... for those posts I reacted to, if you're wonder why... it's not that you're comment was sad or that I disagreed... it's actually the opposite... it's that I agree but it's sad/disappointing/frustrating that it is coming to this (this was easier that quoting like 15 posts)...
It is really the end for Zach as a Bomber?... probably not... but it's becoming very hard to overlook the playoff statistics..
I never truly wanted to believe that O'Shea was hampering the roster with some of his decisions... but playing a clearly injured Bighill was irresponsible... and then the amount of reps that Gauthier was getting in his place... was goddamn mindboggling... Clements and/or Cole should've been getting those reps... you don't rely on a career special teamer to play MLB in the biggest game of the year
The defense just didn't look right all night... they made a few plays here and there but generally got worked over by Cody Fajardo... like, that sentence doesn't even make sense... Cody ******* Fajardo ... how the top D in the league got worked over by a below average QB... in the biggest game of the year... just doesn't sit right
Changes need to be made... Biggie has been a great leader and monumental player over the past 4 seasons... but he is completely done now... ready to move on... not sure who else is definitively done (probably Thomas) ... but I hope our management team makes the right moves and says good bye to a few of the aging vets this offseason
No matter what happens this offseason... I still think the Bombers are the team to beat in the west... we just have to find a way to not lay an egg in the biggest game of the year

    1. It was a fumble.
    2. Their horrid punter shanked it out of bounds and we weren't much worse off.
The real problem was doing nothing with it.

Our offense could have driven the ball when we had it at midfield with 3 minutes left. They couldn't, but Fajardo and the Als did. Both sides are to blame.

Not just this year. He's consistently under thrown deep balls since 2019. It just was never a problem until this year.
He also seemed to force things waaaay more this year. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. But that int into the endzone is a prime example...credit to the db for a hell of a play. But Demski is the easier throw and likely scores on that play. Collars has been and will always be a gun slinger, eventually you run out of bullets.

1 collaros. Didn’t play well enough to win
2 hall idiotic blitz calls that cost us the game
3 mos roster management. No extra cover db, terrible punter, not pulling Zach, Jackson, playing biggie, no dl rotation, not starting Eli at c. Onside punt too lmao.

dishonourable mention to buck for calling about 1/3 of a good game. Houston’s poor tackling too.

Brady lawler Demski holm Eli gauthier Jackson Cole wj and grant played well. Gauthier especially. Biggie and kyrie were not in our top 3 best lbers tnite. Points to roadhouse for gutting out a tough one.

I am so pissed right now, I'd send Zach to Ottawa for a 1st rounder, let Pierce go coach in Saskatchewan, cut Biggie, send Hall off to retirement and I don't know what to do with MOS

I'm so glad to see thos thread from people who actually know what they're talking about. I'm fine with Collaros in playoffs. He has never had one good playoff game. I don't care if it's Dru Brown or whoever but I'm done. We lost because Collaros was not good.
