Actually it's unreasonable which is why they should have done it. Mass would never have allowed it and would have capitulated.  But the issue is the league has to call the shots.

But since no one knew it's a moot point. Make them mic up next weekend. Realistically for thumbing their nose at a league directive it should be a significant punishment.  Take away a draft pick

They didn't punish Saskatchewan that much for far more egregious violations. I think the Esks get fined and Maas has to be mic'd up for an entire week - at home and work.

Imagine the ratings of the all Maas channel. Ketchup or Catsup?

How many games does Pavs see with the Moose?

If Helle or Hutch go down, do we call up Pavs or Comrie?

Comrie can't be too happy with Pavs coming to visit.

    Think he reports?

They don't need to send him down for a while. He can stay with the Jets for 10 games or 30 days (I think those are the terms). But, he obviously can't play.

They can give the H's a run and see how they do. If it crumbles, they can activate Pav and send down one of the H's.

Sure would be nice if they had an extended roster for the first 10 games. Maybe 25.

I would like to see an expanded roster for 10 games for players on 2-way contracts. That way, teams can't 'hide' players or sit them avoiding waivers. Players deserve better than to sit, waiting for a chance.

    Who is anyone kidding really.

Guys like thorburn Peluso strait Lowry Stuart pavelec etc will all be on the 23 man roster. It's just how it will be.

I'd be surprised if 1 of those guys are sent down.

I wouldn't be surprised if they waived Peluso or Strait, I would be surprised if they waived Thorburn and I would be shocked if they waived Lowry and Pavelec.

    Logan Stanley back to Windsor.

Eric Comrie, Jan Kostalek, Kevin Czuczman, Jack Roslovic, Scott Kosmachuk Moose bound.

Feel bad about last 2 but they got their foot in the door.

Awesome for Roslovic. Could have sent him to London but they think he's ready for the pros. That's quite a compliment!!

I can't see how the Jets will justify sending Connor down. He has to stay. he will learn the D game as Ehlers did and inprove over the year. Been saying all along, imagine PL and KC on the wings on their off side on the PP.....scary good. MP at center and Armia or Staf on the wing with Connor on the 3rd line to start the year. Morrissey and KC have made the team. Petan will be one of the later cuts as will De Leo and sadly Tanev.

You can justify sending Connor down because he's young and may not be physically capable of staying with the club for the entire year. I think he starts with the club, based on his preseason but I'm not sure he sticks. It's a huge leap from Rookie-NCAA to the NHL.

He could go down, partner him with Roslovic (assuming he sticks with the Moose) and let them develop together.

See: Petan and Sheif. Both had awesome camps and put up numbers but needed more time to develop at a lower level (OHL/AHL).

idk about his contract status, but we cant keep him on the 2man IR forever, and i for one never expect players who are healthy and hot to willingly sit on the IR long term waiting for a chance. especially if its a guy that would be gone quickly after hitting the PR.

Except for that whole "contract" thing that the CFL has.

I don't disagree that Copp is playing better/smarter than Lowry but for whatever reason, the Jets are high on him and he won't be put on waivers. They don't want to lose him. I'd trade him in a package with Burmi and Trouba. Throw in a 1st and get Lindholm.

Yeah, I'm sure Anaheim wants a bunch of under-performing forwards they can't protect next year.

I don't think they move Lowry. I think they give him a chance to turn it around.

  9. Here's the thing...

If Morrissey makes the team, is he ready for top pairing minutes with Buff? That doesn't feel right.

But then, who partners with Buff? Chiarot? They paired well two years ago. But who else? Enstrom? That leaves a hole next to Myers

Back to Morrissey for a sec....

If not Buff, then who? Myers? Postma? That means Stuart sits, right? Will they do that?

riding shotgun to Sidney Crosby who really was the guy stirring the drink for Canada. Sorry but Marchand just cashed in on Crosby. Knew his role and did the job but Crosby was the real star.

Marchand scored 37 goals for the Bruins last year. He's not riding on Crosby's coattails. Also, as is often mentioned, it's not easy to play with Crosby and not everyone fits in.

Lowry was much better when he came back from the Moose last year.

Dunno if anyone thought about this but some of the vets not having a good camp might have advantage of Maurice not being here. He may not be back until Sunday if TE wins tonight.

He was better but still not at the level of his rookie year. He also faded when all the call-ups came (IMO).

He looked dreadful against Calgary. I'm sure they'll give him a chance but he may start upstairs.

  12. Wow, no Lowry in there and he wouldn't be missed. Amazing how one year can change a player's fortunes. Of course, this means he sits upstairs and watches. Doubt he would clear waivers.

I would like to see Armia get a shot over Burmi but would be fine either way.

Would also prefer to have Dano on the 4th line, get a chance at the third, every so often.
