k, wait.. what?  you have an issue with my posting?  (which is a weird thing to bring up in a post where we were discussing not quoting a mile long post to begin with)  but actually, kiss my ass lol.  I've gone away from the "classic" post like as you've said for awhile now.  I've tried to add substance to most of my replies..

    AFTER WEEK 3
    Bye - Edmonton
Ed Tait  - Ottawa Redblacks have signed former #Bombers draft pick Zach Intzandt, an OL.
Saskatchewan surrendered all four Winnipeg touchdowns while rushing only three men. - @robvanstone #CFL #Riders
CFL News.  -  In passing situations, the #Riders rushed with three nearly 60 per cent of the time. - @robvanstone #CFL
The Redblacks, who have both of their byes in the final three weeks of the season, are going into a very tough portion of the schedule — July 14-24 — where they play three games in 11 days. Toronto Sun
Drew Edwards   -   The #AlsMtl acquired the 2015 first round pick they used on Jacob Ruby by trading OL Ryan Bomben to the #Ticats. They released Ruby today.
CFL Headlines  -  Riders receiver Caleb Holley added to six-game injured list goo.gl/fb/33trCP via @JDunk12 #CFL
Derek Taylor  -  Weird random stat...@sskroughriders Kevin Glenn is 9/13 on passes at or behind the line of scrimmage (69%). 90% last season.
    - Two players have 10+ targets and a 100% catch rate so far. Oddly, neither is a RB: @ArmantiEdwards & @Demski9
CFL News   -   Inch by inch, mile by mile Ambrosie thinks he'll win millenials over to enjoying the #CFL.-If Ambrosie acts as commish like he did at that presser, I think we're in good hands. Understated, humble, smart. And seems to get it. #CFL
Onside - Sam Hurl…moving on up
Offside - Adarius Bowman …disturbing drops surface again
    Onside - Justin Medlock
    Offside - Tyler Crapigna
    Onside - Weston Dressler
Offside - Duron Carter still a dink
    Onside - TJ Heath
    Offside - Roc Carmichael
Onside - Ricky Ray 300 TDs
Offside - Ill-Will Hill thou shalt not grab an official..
CFL News   -   The fishing expeditions are back. Really, really frustrating. Away from the play. Come on. #CFL
?‍? Prime example - in the Bomber game. Completely not related to the action, Dickenson challenges a weak call on Randle, and the C’mon Centre bites on it…
    #REDBLACKS sign former @sskroughriders defensive lineman @JNEW_11.
Derek Taylor   -   #Bombers boundary side proficiency continues. Through 2 games:
    69% comp, 0 TD, 4 INT, 48.8 passer rating
Scott Billeck   -   Some #Bombers notes: WPG is now 1-for-5 on the year from red zone. That’s never good.
Andrew Harris   -   Left too much out on the field tonight.. We will be better #ForTheW! Always #Relentless
    ?‍?Cumulative West Division record 8-4-1
         Cumulative East Division record 3-7-1
And both Ottawa (Edmonton) and Hamilton (BC) could still be winless after week 4
?‍?In the ‘I-did-not-know’ department, Head Coach Kent Austin took over play calling for the Offence from OC Stefan Ptaszek after giving him 1 game!
?‍?Is the undisciplined play of the Ticats (15 penalties 157 yards) a reflection of the ever grumpy Austin?
    How about that I'll-Will Hill?

“Penalties are a concern, especially stupid ones. Undisciplined players aren’t going to play for us,” Austin said. “If you’re going to hurt the football team and you have a pattern of doing that, you won’t play for us.” Kent Austin - 3downnation
?‍?The phrases, mass confusion and discombobulation, were evoked by Drew Edwards as he described Hamilton’s defence.
    ?‍? WANTED : IMPACT PLAYER(S)
One on offence - as an EXCEPTIONAL receiver and play maker. Must be good!
One on defence - as an exceptional linebacker who TACKLES EVERYBODY on the opposing team who gets the ball.
Apply to MBB for a thorough gauntlet run..
*Glenn completed passes to seven different receivers.
?‍?So, Duron Carter, as we witnessed in the last game, can throw more than a hissy fit eh?..
Dave Campbell - CHED   -  HC Jason Maas says RB Kendial Lawrence will handle the kick return duties and backup Travon Van who is now the starting RB. #Eskimos #CFL
Ian Hamilton    -   The Roughriders got a good push up front, registering 11 quarterback pressures — including three each by ends Willie Jefferson and A.C. Leonard — and holding Hamilton to 27 yards rushing on 10 attempts.
    ?‍?Argos pass rush resulted in 5 sacks…
    ?‍?Thrilling - SJ Green 10 receptions 210 yards..massive
Victor Butler - 7 Sacks so far in 3 games
Toronto Argos   -   66 receivers. 300 touchdowns. One more milestone for Ricky Ray. ?
To open the game - The Bombers ran 15 plays to Calgary’s two, had the ball for seven minutes and 57 minutes of the first 8:43 of the game, and had diddly to show for it.
Ed Tait   -  Justin Medlock was one-for-one in the field goal department to push his consecutive streak to 24, a club record.
Consider this: since beginning his days as a Bomber by hitting eight of his first 12 attempts (66.7), Medlock is 61 of 66 (92.4 per cent).
Weston Dressler hit the 9,000 mark in career receiving yards Friday night, becoming just the 27th player in CFL history to do so.
?‍?Peculiar or brilliant idea? To describe the call for a quick kick by Ottawa,  behind in the game, close to their goal line?..?..
?‍?Personally, I see nothing in that Toronto-Ottawa game that said to me that Toronto ‘won’ that game..but rather the RedBlacks ‘lost ‘ it..
AlsMtl -   The Alouettes added international defensive back Brandon Stewart to the roster. #AlsMTL
Blue Bombers   -   The #Bombers will make QB Jack Jacobs the tenth inductee into the Ring of Honour—old Winnipeg/CanadInns Stadium "the house that Jack built."
    WEEK 4
    TORONTO @ WINNIPEG
    CALGARY @ MONTREAL

You mean last season when the team had a winning record and made the playoffs for the first time in five years...?
@Goalieisn't wrong. The kneejerk posting fuelled by blind frustration after a loss is comical in how over-reactionary it is. Although, it's not as bad as another forum based on what I've seen thus far.

yeah they need to change that challenge...Only plays that are challenging a called PI or a wanting of a PI on the play where the ball went. The incidental stuff away from the play if not called should not be allowed to be challenged

    my takeaways from this game..

-offense adjustments at the half fell flat.
-defense being on the field plus the injuries burned them out real quick by the fourth.
-Carmicheal and Lankford.. both are really underperforming to say the least.  I know Dave Richie said "every starting rookie will cost you a game over the course of a season...(or something to that effect..)"  but this is 2 now for Carmicheal and even though he wasn't practicing as a DB for the majority of camp, he was the SAM which is essentially a glorified DB (and no, I don't think he can take over Wild's WIL spot as I don't think he is big enough to stop a decent enough RB) and hes been beaten like a rented mule over and over again.. enough is enough.

I think the turnovers coupled with the lack of offensive game in the second half really killed it for this game.  we were in it right up to around the middle of the third but then we just gassed and the wind came outta the sails when we kept giving the ball back either on 2 and out's or turnovers.

we played a very good team pretty well but in the end they exposed us when we had a tired and depleted defense on the field.  depth behind our starters doesn't seem to be very good at the moment...

I believe a major reason we lost this game was because of our own mistakes, and not Calgary whooping us, which makes it easier to get over knowing things are correctable.

On a side note, the league needs to absolutely get rid of the option to challenge illegal contact. Pass interference is fine, but the illegal contact is just awful. BLM throws a timing out to the left sideline, his first read which was short of the 1st down, yet lets allow them to challenge illegal contact on the other side of the field where BLM was never going to look, ever. I know it's been beaten to death, but this is getting ridiculous already.

Also, honourable mention to the D for the goal line stand, stopping Calgary 5 times from the 1... though they did get the TD on the 6th try, that was an impressive series of stops.

It's all based on the honour system, but at the end of the day, I think it's a win-win for the Bombers.  Even if all 5000-6000 cars parked on campus called in to complain, that means guaranteed sellout for the following game.  Getting that many fans in the stands increases concession revenue, and I'm sure they've done the math that they come out way ahead that way.

Pretty obvious the D was winded in the second half but it's only the second game so conditioning is still a factor and the offence is occasionally expected to give them a break, which they didn't.

Other than the one bad overun Hurl played alright again and wasn't an issue. Our run defence has been pretty good.
You'de be surprised how a weak link especially at a halfback position can really mess a defence up..that's our defence issue right now

Well not the desired results we wanted but what I take away from the game being there and then re-watching PVR today is more positives then negatives.
Firstly though I must say the reffing needs to tighten up. That horrible c'mon center reversal of Randle's perfectly legal jam within the 5 yard zone, and resulting drive from it cost us points as well as the injury to Wild which hurt us rest of game. Don't be surprised to see him in a cast with a broken arm or wrist..i suffered same thing myself on a similar play and that's my opinion on that.
Saw some good things with Ekakite as well as Corney progressing to the point that rotation with them will not be a drop off in play and keep everyone fresh.
A series of plays in the 2nd quarter Faith had nice push and collapsed pocket and was very key in knifing in and being a major contributor of the 5 goal line stuffs...as it was he got replaced on the 6th attempt and where his gap would have been I bet his penetration would have pushed that play deeper or slowed up the receiver and he may have been caught.
Please get healthy Mr Johnson...after a few bad mistakes in first half costing us Roc was playing scared..overcompensating to not get beat over top and Calgary exploited it with guys just dropping off..sitting down and that's why it was so frustrating watching all those uncontested catches which basically did us in.
Randle, Heath, Loffler and Alexander are real good and steady and we get that other halfback spot fixed and you will see a huuuuge difference. We got wore down that game and hey it happens...Offence had a off night and that's the result of it.
Brain farts and missed chances...again on offence cost us early, and we couldn't recover. Nichols won't be lights out every night and let's just see if that was an anomaly and not and indicator of where he is at. Dropped balls didn't help him either so not too worried there.
We know we prob have the best all round back in Harris, so that is not an issue and we are going to have games where he is just going to wear a defence down and open it up for our receivers who i think are underated but I like that.
I think tho Lapo has to abandon the amount of short hooks and curls he uses as teams are sitting on that, unless he is game planning to have that seem to be the norm and setting things up to mix in vertical routes and catch teams jumping our receivers...we shall see.
Not really worth getting up in arms yet or worrying until after the 4 game mark..thats when you know whats what.
Pieces are here, it's just a matter of putting them in the right spots, and truthfully this team as it is now will win more than it loses.

I was saying to my dad yesterday I was surprised after 8 mins gone in the first there had been no flags thrown.  As the game went on there were a few times I felt there should have been flags thrown, but weren't, such as that play Harris got tackled immediately before the ball was thrown to him, and then on another 2 plays, 1. where nichols was thrown to the ground after the whistle blew, and the other when Nichols took a shot to the chin from the defenders helmet.
Perhaps a memo was sent out to be less flag happy, but not calling some blatant ones was a little frustrating

Positives for me from last night:
The crowd was absolutely awesome through 30 minutes of play .. we were into the game .. the atmosphere at IGF was amazing.  Winnipeg fans are passionate. The team needs to consistently deliver for them when playing at home.
Normand has some under-rated hands. He's a FB who doesn't touch the ball often but he catches everything that comes to him even if he's going to get blown up. Couple of tidy grabs last night as well.
The interior of the DL is fantastic this year. You don't move those guys easily and it's helped shore up our run defence in a significant way.
The guy sitting two rows in front of me who completely lost his mind when O'Shea was forced to challenge that illegal contact (mugging) on Harris. You sir were bloody amazing.

Speculating, but one reason for Nichols poor performance may come from the added pressure he puts on himself to beat BLM, pushing him to try to do too much.  Coming from the same college and having a lot of the same connections and friends it might eat him up that BLM has surpassed his accomplishments at E. Wash. and as a pro.  Nichols came into this season expecting to prove himself so this game was a huge test for him.

You can certainly make a strong case for as goes the qb so goes the team in that game. nichols was good first half, blm not at all. Bombers won 1st half. 2nd half opposite. That said, nichols was really streaky in that first half. And blm was really not good and we only had a 1 pt lead.
We thoroughly out played calgary in the first half but had a small lead for it. It was a lot of execution issues all over, and this team playing on emotion too much and not enough on effort.

How? Certain players struggled. Just so happens one was the guy who touches the ball on O every play. CFL is a QB driven league... Ours had a tough night... You turn the ball over 5 times and you wont win much. Its not coaching.. Its just mental issues with some players. Nichols was oveethrowing guys all game long... If anything maybe should have put Davis in.. As Nichols is now 0 for 7 vs the Stamps.
