Yeah, GTA suburb might work - Brampton, Mississauga, Oshawa. I was thinking further out - Guelph, Kitchener, London - where youth, high school, Usport football is popular.
TSN thing - You're right, at this point maybe they don't really care if there's a team in Toronto or not given where their viewers come from. Plus, we're in a new era. Might be other options if the CFL broadcast rights went to market now. Streaming services like DAZN or others; maybe Sportsnet; maybe some combination of local and national broadcast partners? Seems like the big sports - NFL, NBA - are not worried at all when broadcast rights are up, not just because they're so popular, but because they know there's so many options now sniffing around - Apple TV; Facebook; Amazon ... - have all talked about acquiring the broadcast rights to a major sport.

I would think the best option would be to double in a Usports venue and upgrade the seating and stuff.

    QFT
I think if you get into one of the closer suburbs, you'd have a tremendous ability to draw from those stronger outlier communities. The difference in driving to brampton vs driving to the stadium in toronto is huge. (worst city to drive in with in country wide imo)
The online streaming is a good point too. I could see selling domestic rights to a SN type, and really going forward trying to focus on getting a strong streaming partner. I mean thats how I watch I stream on TSN. I know a LOT of expats who are constantly trying to figure out ways to watch from their new homes. + you could tap into a bit of the global market. Im sure a bunch of germans would love to watch hansen play .

Add in an overrated QB that is career mediocre and can't finish drives + an underperforming Dline.

I've read he was too slow this year too. But, he did have a hamstring injury, so, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, I think you need to play through injuries when you're a PR player and it didn't work out.

This is true. The quote from the Nephew isn't damning at all either though. I'm sure we will never learn the truth...but something stinks in Edm and it's not the Elk ****.

One of my best friends lives there and says you just would not even know they exist or when the games are.
    Nobody talks about them.
Soccer has a niche market due to strong multiculturalism in that city.
CFL is just invisible. Putting it in a smaller GTA adjacent community and calling it Toronto may work better.

Great points. Maybe Toronto should relocate. Problem is does TSN still care about the CFL as much with no team in Toronto? They should, their primary viewership are not from the GTA. But, I'd be worried they'd pull the plug, and I don't know who would step in. Perhaps if they relocated to somewhere else in Southern Ontario - London, Kitchener, Guelph, Windsor ...? Not saying they'd get Bombers or Riders numbers, but could you get 15,000 out per game at a reasonable ticket price? Probably. And still have TSN interested - Hamilton vs _______ rivalry?
No easy solutions. I lived in Toronto for years, and no one I knew talked about the Argos. Including football fans. The Bills were more popular.

Yeah its really strange, I dont know why they bought the argos in the first place. We've heard extensively from the new owners in mtl and bc about how they are working to rebuild the fan base. MLSE hasnt said jack.
They also have 6 million people in the GTA. And not many of those sports over lap. Toronto has no issues with drawing fans to other entertainment events either. BC doesnt have the NBA, or MLB drawing against the lions.
If the jays moved a minor league affiliate to toronto, they would do great. Youd be amazed at how many jays fans went from TO to buffalo to watch the AAA team play pre covid.
Thats a crazy good combination indeed. Good luck running up the middle on those guys now. I expect to see a surge in oakmans sack production too. Assuming drake is fairly close to 100% in health and has the rust shaken off.
I didnt get the watch the game last night, was shane ray invisible again or did he get any pressures?

I don't know of any other Canadian city that has NBA, NHL, MLB and CFL and... soccer? That is a lot of entertainment worth a lot of cash... CFL, just low on the totem.

Bauming made a point that really is the only relevant take: As fans, you can ***** all you want, but the coaches watch hours and hours of film on these guys and know who's going to be the best fit for the game. They know a hell of a lot more than the fans do.

That Elks team is actually not terrible on paper.... O-line and LB look weak, but mostly solid outside of that... why do they suck so much??

we won't be picking anyone up...And he won't be cut/released/suspended for season either....He/we handled it right, will address all today...will move on and I suspect he will play with even more of a chip on shoulder and lead league at end of year...bad judgement call, and lesson learned, and lucky it was not a serious lesson.

Rosie will be ahead of all the other guys...he knows the CFL inside and out...knows Zack....Zack knows him...he will integrate seamlessly and know where to go, and where to be.
Mcknight I doubt factors in, and Nelson I think too is a long shot...Makes no sense having 2 Grant like guys in lineup.
Woli I thought hurt his plant foot on his catch, but it was actually his right leg bent behind him that was up in the air, so I'm not as concerned as much now with his possible injury being that severe, and he was up and moving about on sideline for remainder of game...hopefully he can go, but if not I wanna see what Oleary Orange can bring....was pumped we were able to draft him
I do wanna see tho what Agudusi could do in a game tho, Maybe this is his shot...but I think we want to take this one at home, so smart money says it's Rosie...and that is fine with me

Single car accident ups the ante. When I was young, drunk driving was something everyone did. I'm sure I was over .08 many times after the bar, but I never had an accident.
The Bombers handled it quickly and professionally.
Once is a poor decision that doesn't equal alcoholism. Lets hope that's what it is.
A mistake is a mistake, sometimes, it's also a learning experience.

Yup...no previous history of trouble with law..obvious has no serious issue affecting his play to date...and it will be a one game "team" imposed suspension...chalk it up to a learning experience and we move on...and I am sure teammates will agree and stand by him...for all we know several could have left from somewhere...in same condition...and one got caught...so this prob good for the team to see what can happen.
