  1. would have thought dec 2019 was the target date anyways,  but i see instead of Han solo being dec 2018 (to follow suit with TFA/RogueOne/TLJ) they put may 25 2018, should have just made the one movie per year,  IMO I think more then 1 star wars movie in 1 year would be too much and steal thunder from each other.

Hopefully the Bombers don't take their next 3 opponents as lightly as what seems to be the case here. Ottawa has their game back....yes they lost their starting QB but the guy who replaced him was as starter for Calgary I believe before they decided to go with Mitchel. Their D is not as bad as ours so that suggests it could be much closer than what everyone is saying. As for Edmonton well that will be tough. They are beatable but again our D will be the issue.  As for Hamilton, well that might be the one that is more of a given than any other.  BUT they too have won 2 in a row. Confidence is a big thing is sports so let's not take anything for granted.

The offense is playing well, the best I've seen them play on a consistent basis for years....the special teams are playing well....but the defense well if there is a silver lining one could say out of the 476 yards against last game, some 167 of them were on two plays. That is the scary part as well as they had 3 big plays I can think of off the top of my head and that continues to be a big concern.

So let's give them a chance to regroup and refocus and see what happens. Hopefully as some have said here three would be nice but take two and run.

That's the biggest fluff job on Tate I've ever seen. The guys never really been a starter, just look up his stats,  his biggest season total is 2011 passing 101/158 for 1346 yards 8 tds 5 ints.  never before or since has he cracked 1000 yards passing.  Hell Glenn even started ahead of him (in part due to injuries iirc) in 2012 and 2013.  BLM basically took over for Glenn in 2014 while Tate continued to collect paycheques opting to be a back up instead of trying his hand as a starter elsewhere

Riders with some good adds in Knox Jr, Foster and Thigpen. How much $ do they have?

Knox and foster are good adds,  Thigpen is a shot in the dark in hopes a guy who's been out of football for a few years still has something left in the tank at 31.  It's tough to say what shape their sms is in because they are basically doing what they did last year and bring in over a hundred guys and cycle through them all. I assume however gu7ys coming back from the NFL like Knox and Foster are making more then the scrap heaps they are replacing (AJ Jefferson) and other guys likely making league minimum (Ratelle, Royce LaFrance..etc) I guess that's the luxury of paying your starting QB 250K but i think all the dimes and nickles are adding up and wouldn't be surprised if the riders are over this year - but probably under 100K which is a slap on the wrist I'm sure Jones could give 2 flying F's about

Seth is great and, generally, his humour appeals to me. Have always enjoyed Family Guy, American Dad, Cleveland Show, and all the movies... Million Ways To Die was funny for sure....

Having said this, I haven't seen Orville yet and am not sure it's really for me. I would never watch Star Trek in a million years....

agree with this, I enjoy most of Mcfarlane's work, and while I never really cared for Star Trek, the whole alien encounters throughout the galaxy has a lot of potential like on shows such as Futurama and more recently Rick and Morty. For that reason alone I thought Mcfarlane would have a great and wide range to deploy his humor but this pilot was just all kinds of bad. I get it was the first episode so i might give it one more try but they didn't sell the show very well with that opener

  5. Went and saw IT this afternoon, overall it was decent. Pretty much the knock I had on the original was it was made for TV so when gore scenes and whatnot were about to occur it would cut to black (commercial) at least in this they went all out.  I do think the original Pennywise was better than this remake but they certainly made this one a little more creepy in everything from his eyes to the way he would appear time and again.

The script while for a lot of the movie was true to the original, I thought they did a good job adding in some more modern dialog and it pays off for a mouthy character like Richie. He got several laughs out of me as the movie went along.

They did a nice job adding in some new elements while respecting the original so that gets a thumbs up for me. It's not really a scary movie for the desensitized such as myself who are pretty rabid horror movie fans, so the shock and awe of the big screen doesn't really cut it. I'd say watch it but up to you if you wanna spend money or just wait. Either way works.

  6. I missed the first 10 mins of the Orville but don't think I missed much. That was an awful show. A show trying to take it self semi-serious and inserts dry lame humor. I don't think I had any real expectations of the show but I really don't see this show going anywhere.  At this point I would have taken something more like Galaxy Quest then this... ugh

That's an interesting trade. The key to making that work is the money. Without the money, I'm not sure the Riders would make that offer. JSJ still has a lot of value, no?

Not sure about a lot of value anymore, at least in Sask. Jones has been pretty public about his concerns with JSJ's conditioning, and if you add in the hold out last year, and the fact Bladek sees more reps than him, whether or not he's traded I think he goes to FA next year regardless. So at this point he's more of a bargaining chip than anything for the riders, that has to have serious consideration in any package they try to put together if they look for an immediate QB relief.

But it could all be for not, some rider fans say they've seen Glenn since the game signing autographs and stuff so his hand could be fine. I was very tempted to post

    Image result for red card

but I probably would have got banned lol

For Hamilton to get back into it in the East, they're going to need help in a few places.

If I'm Hamilton, I risking it and trading Collaros for talent and a draft pick. You take the chance you can keep Masoli healthy.

If the Riders come with a good offer, you take it. When the offseason comes around, teams might not offer you as much when they're sober and thinking rationally.

depending Glenn's health, If the rider sought out Collaros, I'd offer Hamilton Bakari Grant and JSJ with the stipulation Hamilton pays whatever difference there is between Grant and JSJ's remaining salaries and the 223K remaining for collaros (assuming none was paid upfront). IMO that is the best trade for both clubs, as Grant seems to be disappearing behind Carter, Roosevelt and Holley and JSJ has already been passed by Bladek

I forgot to ask you. Who or what is a Migs?

The only Migs I know of would be a squadron of Russian Mig fighter Aircraft. Made by the Mig Company.

    OR .............

Was Migs a football fan of another team that would zoom in here faster than the speed of sound. Take several shots, drop a few bombs or maybe quickly carpet bomb the site, then zoom out of here even quicker than he flew in? ha ha ha

This is where I'm calling BS. If you've been posting places since 2006 there is not a snowballs chance in hell you have no clue who migs is. It would be virtually impossible to miss their all day every day posts on several well known and popular forums.

That would be akin to a bomber fan saying they post online for over a decade and not know who nasty nate/Lyle E Style is,  hell you don't even have to be a bomber fan,  he's also been banned on RF and cfl horsemen site... only a matter of time before cfl.ca is next, though i don't think that place is really all that moderated

Has jones every ponied up for an imp qb or other wise though?  Maybe if his name was franklin.

I don't think he's paid big money to any 1 individual player (maybe Dennis but he got pretty much what an all star LT should expect) however he's spent money frivolously in smaller but more spread out sums like signing bonuses and picking up injured players that never do anything (Norwood, Gaydosh, Owens)

  11. 6 minutes ago, wbbfan said:

dont think jones would give much of any thing for him, hes an imp. Maybe a package of newfie + hurl tho...

not that I think Davis would fetch much, I think if Glenn is out for any significant time they will be eye balling Collaros. Just my opinion.

As far as Davis being an imp goes,  doesn't really matter since he's a QB the bigger issue would be the rider losing a decent starting NI which Davis does not replace. Plus the salary is one the bombers could not carry without shedding like 1 or 2 salaries elsewhere. Just not worth it for either team

ah yes....Walker got hurt I think...weren't they really high on his cover skills at camp?...tho they said same with Roc but look how that developed lol

I'm really trying to rack my brain remembering TC. If i remember right there were a lot of people high on A Walker but I'm not sure if it was Brian Walker who's currently on the 1-game IR but has played pretty well for us.

Walker Jr was cut the day after PS 2 but wasn't there someone that was let go to get a shot down south? I can't remember if this was the case without digging up some old threads

good chance he probably only was looking to go back to Edm anyway unless someone dumped stupid money in front of him

yeah I made mention on RF I thought originally maybe his loyalty laid with Hervey but i remember him being in attendance at one of the Eskimos games (I think possibly their home opener) that should have been pretty telling then. Alas would have been nice to grab him. Apparently he's only signed for the remainder of the year to keep his NFL options open so it would have been a short term stay here anyways

uh, no.  we spent the better half of 4 years trying to draft young, tough o-linemen who are going to be fixtures here.  why would we start off-loading those assets.  that seems very mackavellian in thought process lol.

we have chungh, goossen, spooner and eventually gray + we would still have neufeld and any other future draft picks, it's not like Couture is the be all end all to our line but IMO offers more in a trade then Neufeld does, which is what the discussion has been about to this point,  what can we trade to get pieces that we need. I think Couture might be one of the most valuable assets we hold that we could trade without really causing any issues to our team

  15. 1 minute ago, tracker said:

If Couture is close to being as good as Neufeld, then it would make sense to trade Neufeld- his paycheque is a lot heftier and we could use that money better elsewhere.

from our stand point, yes it would make sense to try and shed the salary for equal play of a younger guy. But from the other spectrum Neufeld holds so much less value in a trade. He's older, more expensive and pretty much at his ceiling. Not going to get much in return from him on the table
