  1. Well, the only positive to take out of this game on Friday is that the Stampeders look very, very mortal - at an opportune time, no less.
  2. This is starting to remind me of your schtick on TEP a couple of years back. ******' nauseating.
  3. Or TNSE just loves to play the blind loyalty card. Maurice, Huddy, Flaherty... None of them have earned ****-all.
  4. Poor decision by Maurice. Then again, that tactic seems to be his bread and butter. I'm disliking that undeserved extension more and more with every passing day (and loss).

  6. That's unfortunate. I'm not sure I understand the rationale, either. It isn't like the Canada Games will happen here next year.
  7. And having Dressler back in the lineup is a positive. That's my point.
  8. Someone sure can't get over Thorpe being gone. He played 6 games, FFS. And someone isn't up to date on things, either. Dressler will play this week.
  9. NW Ontario seems to get it right: both terms are acceptable to describe Sander vitreus. I also like wally, walter, hog (for the biggies), and eater (for the tasty ones you fry up). Anyway, count me in the group of fans who identify as being indifferent about the Jets right now. Same old .500 team with the same issues continuing to affect their ability to progress in a positive way.
  10. He didn't have a reception vs. OTT a few weeks back. He had 2 @ EDM and 3 vs. BC, though.
  11. Considering Dressler is back and Givens will get a look this week, not really. It makes absolutely no sense to try and "coax" a guy out of retirement who probably hasn't done anything football-related in months.
  12. I think if a player is released by team A at this point in the season, team B can sign him to a PR spot only. IIRC, this was a discussion last year when Carter was released by the Alouettes.
  13. Pretty sure he was on the PR at the time he requested his release. In other words, he quit on the team by being unwilling to have patience and take what was given to him. Thorpe made that decision, requested his outright release, and that's that. Nobody to blame but himself. What "personal motivations" would even be at play here besides Thorpe's own impatience, anyway?
  14. I really hope the Bombers get Demski for next season.
  15. Thorpe's gotta be kicking himself in the ass right now. Literally a week of patience was all he needed.
  16. Well, fook. That's some shitty ass news. Here's hoping he's good to go for the playoffs.
  17. Fingers crossed Dressler returns to his 2016 form on Saturday. The offense needs a spark in a big way.
  18. A disaster of a man(ager) where evaluating Canadian talent is concerned. Jake Thomas is currently the only player he drafted who remains actively with the team. That is ******* embarrassing.
