  1. With the Lions out of playoff contention, does Buono activate backup players on Saturday to evaluate talent for 2018?
  2. Agreed. Gotta punch the Lions in the mouth once more and lock up second place and a home playoff game. The Bombers can't rely on another team losing. Or at least they shouldn't.
  3. He does...? And FWIW, I'm glad the team is "stuck" with him. This recent dry spell aside, the offense has been an utter joy to watch in 2017.
  4. That's too bad. We've barely seen him.
  5. I don't think Casher plays LB. His scouting reports list him as a DE/rush end. I have to think that's the position he'd play in the CFL.
  6. What's the alternative? The NFL is not an option.
  7. While the Bombers' defense gives up the most yardage per game, they remain in 4th in terms of points allowed. (http://statfox.com/cfl/defstats.asp?season=2017&stype=all) There isn't necessarily a correlation between yardage allowed and points surrendered. However, I think Hall's defense benefits greatly from a potent offense capable of winning TOP, putting together long drives, and ultimately scoring points. With the recent struggles on offense, the defense's shortcomings are magnified. Medlock's kicking issues also don't help.
  8. And Dressler has always done a better job of getting open and making defenders miss. Denmark, not so much. His production comes in spurts - always has. And right now, he's struggling. But that seems to be the case whenever the offense has been without its top weapons.
  9. Sure it matters. If he's getting covered well or double covered, he doesn't get targets. This is what happens when an offense loses its top weapon(s).
  10. I stand corrected. But my point still stands.
  11. And fingers crossed it accomplishes nothing and they limp their way into the West Final and crap the bed.
  12. Back-to-back weeks of craptastic performances by the Stampeders, though. I honestly would've expected their close win over the Ti-Cats to be a re-focus. If not for Unamba's poor decision with no time left on the clock, that game goes to OT and who knows.
  13. Meh... One week the Riders look like world beaters (last Friday in Calgary) and a week earlier they choked to a sketchy team on home field (two weeks earlier vs. the RedBlacks). Still a bit of a roller-coaster going on in Jonestown.
  14. RedBlacks NAT WR Sinopoli out for remainder of season: http://3downnation.com/2017/10/23/redblacks-receiver-brad-sinopoli-ruled-out-for-ticats-contest-possibly-longer/ Missed this gem from Brad Wall: http://3downnation.com/2017/10/21/saskatchewan-premier-brad-wall-takes-shot-argos-attendance/ No class whatsoever. Seriously, what an assclown.
  15. Riders sign NAT OL LaBatte to 4-year contract extension: http://3downnation.com/2017/10/23/riders-ink-canadian-ol-brendon-labatte-to-extension/
  16. Yeah, that was some major BS. Just glad the Jets didn't let it affect them and they were still able to get the win.
  17. Don't be respectful while having a discussion or anything. All I said was Wilder, Jr. was by far the Argos' best, most impactful player on offense and his absence would've been significant, no different than had Dressler been out (you know, like the week previous when the Bombers struggled without him and Adams vs. the Lions).
  18. Except Wilder, Jr. serves a dual threat purpose, so his absence would be noticeable both on the ground in the air. He combined for nearly 200 total offensive yards and two majors. So, I think it is pretty similar.
  19. You could apply that same logic with Wilder, Jr. It works both ways.
  20. I think what creams my corn more than Medlock's uncharacteristic misses is how lousy the defense continues to play. And that's on Hall, to be perfectly honest. I think the personnel is mostly there but the system being used is trash.
  21. My concern with the Lions is how dirty they played the last time they were here. I can't see them changing their strategy this time around, especially now that they can just play spoiler and resort to greaseball tactics.
  22. Mulumba wouldn't play LB in the CFL. He'd suit up on the D-line. Hurl's not bad on ST. He's completely out of his element on defense, though.
