  1. Yeah, Sportsnet is garbage. What they've done to NHL coverage is vomit worthy.
  2. Fair enough. But INT OL are a dime a dozen, which isn't exactly the case with NAT LBers. Sort of apples and oranges, IMO.
  3. Nice road win. A little shaky at times but take it and go! Hellebuyck is off to a great start this season.
  4. Do present your research/sources showing actual evidence of this. How the hell does an armed populace make US citizens more free than citizens of other developed first world countries on this planet?
  5. Who happens to also hail from Kinshasa, like a former Bombers NAT MLB. Seriously, though, he could be a nice acquisition. Even if only for the future. Solid STer who could also have potential on defense.
  6. What was/is the alternative, though? Even if the ratio were a moot point, who goes in at MLB on this roster and is more impactful?
  7. Did Davis even play last season? I thought prior to this season when he played in garbage time vs. the RedBlacks, the last time he saw regular season action was in 2015. I agree on giving him a break. Going in cold on relief duty for a half where the team didn't look good from the get-go isn't a reasonable sample size.
  8. Adrian Tracy is a dirtbag. Wasn't he the one who speared Willy in week 2 back in 2015? Oh, and Tracy was also fined for that hit.
  9. For sure. Which means he's probably done until next season (some were speculating on him perhaps being back for the playoffs).
  10. I'd like to think the writer meant to use the word "custom" and made a mistake. I hope that's the case, anyway.
  11. Nobody insulted you, so there's no need to get defensive, much less take unwarranted retaliation shots at someone who doesn't agree with you. Good grief, man. I merely pointed out how the entire team played poorly more often than not in their two losses, so one player being punished doesn't seem reasonable. Benching a top player due to poor play after a mere two games is absurd, unless more players were also benched for the same reason. Even then, it's silly because it was two games and there will be wrinkles to iron out early on in a season. I don't buy into the rumour being spread by unqualified radio personalities or fans on social media because there's virtually no substance to any of it. So, I fail to see the relevancy. And feel free to ignore my comments if they hurt your delicate sensitivities that much. You're the one who quoted me, anyway.
  12. Not after two games in which the entire team mostly sucked. Speaking of common sense...
  13. Switching QBs last season could've probably happened a game sooner but I still doubt the Bombers win in week 5 with Nichols behind centre. What was the alternative back in 2014 for Kuale, though? IIRC, his last game was in Ottawa in week 15 (injury?) and the Bombers didn't play better after that. I'm not sure if I buy the theory O'Shea is too stubborn to make changes. I think the team gambled at a crucial defensive position and it simply hasn't paid off.
  14. Much ado about nothing. The flunkies at TSN1290, however, need something to whine about on their radio shows, which does nothing but fuel the fire. Byfuglien is not 100% and that's why he didn't play on Monday and won't play tonight. Nothing more to it than that. What happened to common sense?
  15. He absolutely shredded the Eskimos the last time they met. His absence will hurt, especially against a team in desperation mode to get some wins.
  16. Ridiculous. From Merriam-Webster: Completely ridiculous.
  17. Argonauts' RB Wilder Jr. likely out for Saturday's game vs. the Eskimos: https://www.cfl.ca/2017/10/12/wilder-jr-likely-saturdays-matchup-vs-esks/
  18. The Jets have enough forward depth and Byfuglien hasn't played up front consistently in years.
  19. How does a team give up a SHG on a 5v3 PP...?
  20. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/mark-scheifele-top-5-nhl/ An awesome read from a true student of the game. Enjoy!
  21. Not to mention the Bombers were coming off a bye in week 2. Outside of two huge plays for the Riders, the Banjo Bowl was dominated by the home team. But sure, the Bombers "barely" won the season series. The Riders are a .500 team on the road and still below .500 vs. the West. I fail to see how that makes Jones part of the COTY conversation.
  22. It's official: Rob Vanstone is a fanboy with the blinder strapped on tight. What a pathetic article. That garbage is bordering on the Pedersen-esque.
