Nike isn't MUCH better, but yeah adidas is absolutely horrible. Can't remember much of their football stuff off the top of my head but ever since they took over the NBA, the uniforms have been ****ing garbage.

When I was a kid living in Winnipeg my buddies and I would go to the games on Friday night and then drive out to Winnipeg Beach and stay at the cottage for the weekend.  That was before I'm embarrassed to say when drinking and driving was as public an issue as it is today.  Quite frankly I wonder how I survived my late teens and twenties.  
 
Kids are much smarter today and I have all the respect in the world when they drink but take a cab, walk or appoint a "DD".

Be happy to.  Here's a hypothetical conversation in the Bomber office.  It should have occurred early last month and involves two members of the Bomber front office.  Let's call the first one Tall Forehead (TF) and the second one Deep Thinker (DT).
 
TF:  Hey DF, what should we do about training camp?  It's coming up next month and we're not going to be able to use the stadium.  We need to tell the fans what's happening so they can do whatever they need too.
 
DT: Yea, I've already made a couple of calls to have bleachers set up at the practice field.  Won't be the best but if we get some washroom facilities and maybe call a food vendor or two, we'll be just fine.  We won't have to spend much on this but at least no one, except that maybe that 17to85 guy will be able to say we didn't try.
 
TF:  Sounds good.  You want to do the announcement or should I?  
 
DT:  Already done.  Just sent it to the boss for approval.  Hope he appreciates what we're trying to do here.
 
Now, let's see what the actual conversation, which took place no earlier than yesterday probably looked like:

I went to Mad Max last night and it was great, I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10 (mainly for the visuals).  It sure isn't the low budget indy film that the original was and they put every dime to pretty good use.  I'd recommend seeing it in theatres rather than waiting to watch at home.  I thought it was interesting that the same actor was the main villain in this one (as Immortan Joe) & the original ( as Toecutter).  He's completely unrecognizable in this one though so if you didn't know beforehand, you probably would never imagine it was the same guy.

Apparently he's got a rep of being lazy. Imagine if he actually starts trying?

Maurice is pretty good with figuring out where to put guys it seems. He also seems to be aware of the players skill set and confidence. When listening to his interviews he pays attention to when he feels he can push the young guys and when he needs to hold back a bit.
 
IMO Ehlers has the skill to make it and i have zero doubt hes on the big team. 

He could package the 2 picks or one plus let's say buff or Burmi more than likely to move up. But as of now I'd say it's unlikely. As for Armia, can't really comment as I haven't seen him play

Ehlers, Morrissey Copp make the big team.
 
I think once Copp is comphy as a center in the bigs Petan will be brought up as a wing.
 
Petan is a bit iffy for me because he can play both center and either wing. Hes got a skill set you want to have but we are kinda short on places.
 
IMO id rather have a bigger player like Copp take a center position and get comply in that roll and then bring up Petan to fill a wing roll. Then as Petan gets more use to the bigs start using him more.
 
Ehlers, Morrissey are more NHL ready. Both these guys are pure hockey players and have the skills to make the jump and be effective. Copp also.

I dont know if we sign fro. I think the need for him was more important to us at the beginning of the year. I think we may have guys in our system that can take his role at a less of a hit.
 
Stafford will sign here....  Thats a great thing. We can and will afford to sign him...  Hes like having another Wheeler in your line up.
 
Tlusty? If we sign him it will be as a 4th liner. Maurice likes him so im not sure where this goes. Solid player IMO .. Not to concerned either way.
 
Stemp will sign. He likes it and he fits our mold.
 
I think guys like Stemp and Stafford stay because of the environment within the team. Staff has been thru the chaos in Buff and Stemp has been thru the UFA gig.  

ok, so I went to the Rockets-Winterhawks game last night.  My impressions:
 
It wasn't a very high scoring game, as the Rockets won 2-1 in OT.  Petan scored with 3 minutes left to tie it up and send it to OT.  
 
Petan sure looks small out there, but he sure is a leader.  He has amazing hockey sense, he seems to always be where the puck ends up.  Is he too small to play in the NHL?  When I look at Anaheim, I think "maybe".  He should have a long career in hockey, even if it ends up being in Europe.  Chase De Leo didn't impress me at all.  Seems to be the same size as Petan, or only slightly bigger.  Petan was a threat to score on almost every shift, while DeLeo was invisible.  Not sure what the Jets scouts saw in him, other than he seems to be a good skater?  Bittner is big, like HUGE, and he can skate, though he didn't do much last night.  I would draft him, he has the size I think to develop into an NHL'er, third or fourth line.
 
Morrissey - wow oh wow.  He's going to be a good one.  Just so smooth out there.  Reminded me of Bourque, Niedermeyer and Coffey, when he would just take the puck and smoothly just move up the ice before landing a beauty pass on a forward's stick or going in for the shot himself.  I am hoping we see him in a Jets jersey for a long long time.
 
Only other comment - if Nick Merkley of the Rockets is still available at our first round pick, I'd take him over Bittner.  If we could get both of them with our two first round picks, I would be happy.  Merkley is so strong with the puck. Well worth taking a chance on him.
EDIT:
Forgot to add - Winnipeg's own Madison Bowey hit a Winterhawk so hard that he put him ass over tea kettle into the space between the benches. That guy is going to be a good one too.

Either way, we just gained an asset.

To bad they didnt show that remarkable restraint before they killed Freddie Gray.

To me the problem with America is they take everything to the max. Every law and right they have is pushed to the limit. 
 
Ive sai before....  Have a look at other free countrys. Most are way more mello the there is lil violence and killing. Most are happy to live in a free county and work for what you want and live life.
 
America is a fast intense country. People are stressed out and on edge. 

UFC did the right thing. Stripped and suspended him.

I guess that day in rehab didn't help him sort his issues out.
 
I don't really like him, but I hope he gets his crap together. He's the best fighter I've ever seen and it would be a shame to see all of that talent wasted.

Perhaps the sarcasm was unfair. I have just grown very tired of the microscopic view of incidents that have come up in this thread that completely ignore systemic issues. 
 
The problem is that "if you don't want to get shot then don't run" or "looters are losers" gets to the bottom of absolutely nothing. And investigations into these incidents will, I have little doubt, teach us that if only more people obeyed the law we'd have less people getting killed, which, once again, gets us nowhere.
