The awkward defence of Garret Marino comes immediately to mind. Let's face it, your teams own code of conduct was thrown in the garbage the minute Reynolds took over, and sketchy characters were all over your dressing room since. Guy like Marshall has numerous online posts claiming to be a Crip posing with guns. Your fearless leaders sat in front of microphones year after year supporting their buffoonery on and off the field and it killed the culture of your club that now must be completely rebuilt.

And I wouldn’t mind if they continue with the buffoonery. They’ll need to revert to bottle drives for money.

Does BC want to go even more toward never running the ball? I think Harris' roll with the Argos is just about perfect for him. Sounds like he is done though

Agreed if he’s not done, he should be. No durability anymore. He’s had a terrific career, hall of famer for sure. Don’t need to become a pathetic loser.

BC was stacking the box and our passing game was jacked up with all the injuries and Woli playing out of position.  I dunno if Buck was play calling to feed Lawler or if Collaros was ignoring everyone else but our passing game just didn't look right.  Was watching Woli waggle and he wasn't hitting the line like a regular CFL slotback would.

Last regular season game when BC stacked the box we killed them with Brady in the flats .... wonder why that wasn't available last night. I kinda wonder if Brady got nicked up ... was weird to see Augustine getting carries in a game that wasn't decided yet ... totally not the Bombers style to sub out the top talent unless it's Prukop coming in....

Friends offered the Theory that Brady was bagged, exhausted, but not injured, after the first half. End of game he had 21 carries, 3 targets, 2 receptions, 124 total yards, mostly in the first half, aàplus the blocking assignments, guy was a one man army.

and that Prukop shot gun snap play at the 3 was…stupid.

  4. The end of half Hail Mary cheesed me for the rest of the game. It seems so gawd damned lucky. Turns out, ESPN stats reports that an NFL chance of a successful Hail Mary is 9.7%. Cougar stats reports that Hail Mary’s are intercepted 19% of the time - which is 8 times more frequent than a Hail Mary Touchdown. Lions got their points by luck, and that’s it - luck.

I don't think any team gives Brown a starting job or starting salary.

Ottawa could dump Mazoli, sign Brown to compete for the starting job and use the savings to upgrade the rest of the team.

Riders could dump Harris, sign Brown to compete for the starting job and use the savings to upgrade their O line.

    Montreal could dump Faj-jj... etc.

    Hamilton could dump BLM... etc.

Edmonton will continue with Ford as he gave them hope this year.

Stamps will continue with Maier as he got better in the 2nd half of the season.

IMO, the most likely spot is Ottawa where Dru would get the most money and have the easiest route to starting.

Certainly hope your right. That would leave him in the same position as if he remained a bomber behind an uninjured Collaros.

I’m not sure Wally could resolve the Collaros/Brown dilema with 100% confidence.

  6. After Buck Pierce left the bombers in 2013 the qb position had been a helluva problem for the team. Things started to turn with Nichols arriving and playoffs became a reality again. Streveler was found and fans got excited. Nichols got hurt and the Collaros comeback story lifted the team to the Cup. Seemed #8 wasn’t as fragile as many believed as the franchise produced on the field and financially. Streveler decided what was best for him was to try the nfl. He gets replaced by Brown that grew into a pretty darn good second stringer, dynamically throwing 9 tds this year and zero interceptions, some kind of record. Highlights include an incredibly poised come from behind victory against the antlers, after Zach was sidelined.

Is Brown a product of a unique system with a remarkable edge in recruiting and development?
Can it be replicated if Brown leaves?
Or have the Bombers been lucky as hell which means we’ll be screwed with having to start over at qb if Collaros can’t continue but Brown has left?

I hate to agree with this, but I do.

His offences/teams have been average at best.

and this is why.... as much as I loved the guy and appreciate his time in Winnipeg........ I'm not sure why people think he deserves a shot at being a HC. What exactly has he done/proved?

Because it’s Saskatchewan. We love to see them fail.

I think Brady will come out of the West. The selection committee already chose him over Collaros, who is a superior QB candidate than VA.  It would defy logic for them to select BO over ZC than turn around and select VA over BO. By that same logic, BO would have to be favored over Kelly whose metrics and performance were also not as good as ZC. It's MOP not MVP. Kelly has not been that outstanding really....or at least not as outstanding as ZC on pretty much every measurable statistic. Also, one should remember the CFL is absolutely craving a NAT winner for MOP. It shouldn't matter...but it will.

Makes sense. Yet, the overall selectors won’t recognize the excellence that Brady runs the Nebraska drill. They wouldn’t even know what a Nebraska drill is
