I'm not joking. It wouldn't have been that much. It really isn't that big of an issue to install before they laid the turf down. But sure, cheap out...it obviously didn't hurt the game or the image of that stadium in anyway.

So how much?  I'm imagining you have some insight as to the cost of such a system if you're saying it's "not that much"!

That was due to the natural turf. They replaced it a few years ago now. They can't use that as an excuse. Should have spent some money on a heating system under it.

you have to be joking... they said on the pregame show it's because the field wasn't levelled properly and the drainage is poor.    In ground heat for 1 game a year MAX.... pretty sure the cost of that would have been a big No right away.

Adams definitely slowed down there.  Not sure who (but I can guess) didn't understand where the ball was supposed to end up on that play.  Adams turned and put his hands out and then kept running with his hands out when he should have put them down and gave 'er to where the ball was landing.  Looked like an 8 year old playing outfield on that one.

I really hoped Adams was going to have that breakthrough season this year, but it sure seems like he's just not a reliable #1 go to guy.  Many have said, get a number 1 and have Adams as your secondary guy and he'd probably produce more, and I think that is pretty bang on.   Don't get rid of the guy, because there's talent there.   But kind of like when Phil Kessel went to Pittsburgh, I think you just need to take him out of that #1 role and take the pressure off!

When he rolled out there were 2 options to him. Harris for the dump off, who was always covered because the Stamps did their homework and knew that covering Harris was priority one and option 2 was usually Adams further downfield also being covered. This team has a problem helping their qb out when he rolls out of the pocket and I think it's by design. So yeah, I'm blaming Lapo for his passive crap. Same **** as when he was head coach here. Playing not to lose rather than playing to win like the Stamps did.

there was one play in particular in the second half where they rolled out to throw right, and you saw 3 receivers on the left side, waddle 3 yards and set up blocks.  Pretty easy for the defence to figure out whats going on there when none of these guys were moving.    At least have a couple of them bolt downfield and stretch the D.   Now was that the designed play, or were these guys just dis-engaged knowing the ball wasn't coming their way, who knows!?    Was sad to watch either way.

How I took that comment was that the Bombers didn't get close enough to the red zone to bring Streveler in.  I'm not sure if that's what O'Shea meant, but it makes sense having watched what they've done for most of the season.

what about the 2nd and short packages where they left Nichols in, where, all season, those have been Streveler downs.  And sometimes even leave him in for a couple extra plays afterwards.  There was none of that.   Playing too safe in my opinion, and trying to let Nichols earn all the glory himself!

LMFAO what does Chris Jones put in your water?!?!? Better how exactly?? You just stated in your other post that Eguavoen(your best player) is likely gone, possibly Jefferson too(your second best player), yet somehow your defense is going to be better next year?!?!? Your freaking defense virtually outscored your offense at a rate that is unheard of and completely unsustainable, and not to mention was directly related to those two guys who may be gone next season, yet the Riders D is going to be better??  Holy **** man. Do you drop your pants when you talk out of your a** or is it muffled? And lord almighty don't get me started on your depth at QB which makes the Buffalo Bills look deep. Please keep your insane ramblings to the confines of riderfans where the rest of the Jim Jones, errr Chris Jones disciples gather to spew verbal diarrhea.

    but.... Sam Hurl.

Its likely cuz hes a green rookie.

would have been a nice change of pace and offered a different look than our "elite" starting QB who completed more passes to the sideline than he did to our receivers.  Even when he was completing balls, they were in the dirt.  Routinely, the recipients were having to go to the ground to make the catches, which kills your YAC opportunity.   He can't throw accurately on the run.  At least Streveler could have extended plays by giving the receivers more time to get open and taken some shots down field.  That simply wasn't happening with Nichols, because at the first sign of trouble, he'd wing it into the stands.  But hey, no INTs, so it must have been a successful game!

Nichols over threw a wide open Darvin Adams and had like 100 yards passing all game.

75 through 3 quarters.... how that keeps the confidence of the coaching staff is laughable.  81 yards in the 4th whe LaPo finally started opening the playbook.

What bugs me, as O'Shea just stated on the coaches show, is they didnt "open up the packages for Steveler".  So, Nichols had to play a little better to earn Streveler some playing time??  Talk about whacked out logic!?  What about giving a change a try to see if it opens up the defence!?

100% yes. They didn't dominate like they did in SSK. But they gave him time. There were multiple plays where I counted how many seconds he had before the pressure got to him, or before he rolled out. 4-5 seconds on each. I thought maybe the Oline wasn't performing...but they were. Nichols would look at his 1st read, panic and leave the pocket. I can only recall 1 play where he stepped up in the pocket when pressure was getting to him to deliver a pass. Otherwise he would throw it away or throw a bad pass into the ground.

the more I think about what Nichols said in the post game press conference, the more it bugs me.... he thought he played "a pretty solid game".  The guy had 75 yards passing going into the 4th quarter.

I think he's delusional and gauges the success of his game on number of turnovers over putting points on the board.  Not throwing a pick for a game, he seems to consider a win, regardless of other stats.

Can we debate the same thing? During that 3 decades we had Khari Jones and Milt Stegall, and one of the most prolific passing attacks in our league history. Kevin Glenn was a legit starter. I was specific about not wanting to wander the QB wasteland.

As a 38 year old man, believe me, I am painfully aware of our teams shortcomings championship wise. I would amputate a foot for a Grey Cup if I could.

I didn't want to have to say it, but I'm going to....   we could have won that game yesterday with Kevin Glenn behind centre.   Insult me, call me crazy, whatever you want.... at least Glenn is a threat to go downfield.

An upgrade from Dressler to a dominant receiver that pushes Darvin to #2 on our depth chart.

    A replacement for Chris Randle

A more steady, solid third import receiver (but this should ideally be a new recruit, to be honest)

A safety, since I’m going to assume Loffler leaves town

well.... looking at Brandon Zylstra's stats, he's only played 1 game this season with 1 reception.  If he got cut, that would be the buy I'd love to see Walters throw some coin at!

We need a true number one receiver. Derel Walker or someone along those lines that would be perfect.

only point in making this move would be if we have a QB that can get it down field.   If they decide to stand pat with Nichols, is a deep threat really necessary?  Kind of like a rubber beek on a woodpecker!
