  1. Past hour
  2. Nope. Their fake name was Thompson. https://simpsons.fandom.com/wiki/The_Thompsons Dante Mastrogiuseppe now that is a mouthful.
  3. Oma's was fantastic and definitely worth the drive from Niverville.
  4. Upon reflection and learning,we got a group of athletes who will give it the old college try at being a pro player in Canada. Kevens Clercius is a cool name. Mike Ike ? I mean if his middle name ain’t start with an N, his parents royally messed up. Sampson. That was the Simpsons fake name when they went into the witness relocation program on the show there. The u of m kid has a fun story.
  5. For all the discussion about drafting a RB/FB hybrid, if we think of Mike Ike in the core special teams linebacker role (with an elite athletic profile for that and film to back that up) then it could be good value that he could fill that special teams role while also playing 10 snaps a game on offense Walters said Klercius is also going to be a special teams guy and bring a physical presence to the offense Those two + adding a big hog like Gabe Wallace and suddenly the Bombers invested big time in fortifying the physicality of an already really physically imposing offense while simultaneously boosting the special teams cover units
  6. Disagree on Dillon and Monahan. think both go. Sign demelo to play 3rd pair ideally with ville. Buy out 1 of pionk or Schmidt, ideally pionk. Schmidt and Samberg were strong together. Pionk made everyone including Dillon worse. trade Ehlers for a top 4 rhd to play with Josh. josh top 4 guy Schmidt samberg demelo heinola. capo etc Hope salomonsson is ready in 1 year when Schmidt’s deal ends. He might he ready now honestly. lambert is a center right shot. Chibrikov a left shot right wing. connor lambert chibrikov Perfetti shelf vilardi nino Lowry (not Appleton) 4th line of Barron Gus names. move out pionk (buyout) and trade Ehlers and Iafallo. Top 4 guy and draft picks.
  7. Today
  8. Green: Jets will try hard to Re-sign Orange: Jets Will Make an Offer Red aren't coming back now if only Pionk would waive the 6 team no trade clause
  9. Such a damned shame. Did a lot for the bombers and the market.
  10. Only 30 but over 100 nfl games. Man if he’s got any thing left that’s massive. I’d love to have him here. I’d take him but I’m sure we won’t even investigate. Sounded like Walters couldn’t imagine a way of fitting grant back in the budget. elk cut makonzo too. He’s solid especially as depth some one will grab him.
  11. Yes SM is for sure a skilled player but there’s a saying in football that you play to the whistle and it just look like he let up on some plays but who knows what injuries these guys are playing with to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  12. Very kind the times I met him at signings, fan days. The Never Alone Foundation is an amazing legacy for him to leave. He also did a lot to help dig the club out of a massive financial hole in 99-2000. RIP Lyle.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Other than Brossy, who we're not going to keep as he'll want starter money (and should get it) I'm not huge on any of those names. I had hope for Monahan and Toffoli going into the playoffs and then I saw them go through the motions and show they don't really want to be here. Monahan especially shied away from any and all rough stuff. Do we keep him so we can make the playoffs? Just so then we can bow out in 5 games? I don't know.
  15. This is ironic since CFL fans used to **** on Rod Black for mentioning players' famous fathers.
  16. RIP buddy, played high school football with Lyle at Mount Royal in Saskatoon. He always had that edge and was something special as a player!
  17. I can see that, although in 20 years most of us will be forgotten
  18. Oh, he will be. I'm just saying in 20 years if his foundation is still around , it will have helped a lot of cancer patients. My brother in Winnipeg has pancreatic cancer so I'm curious as to what the foundation does & will be checking it out online.
  19. To be honest, he was a three time Grey Cup Champ as a player and the Bombers were in 3 Grey Cups during his time in management (although they unfortunately didn't win any of those). I think he rightfully could be remembered for his football career and the foundation he started.
  20. I think he may be remembered more for his Never Alone Foundation that helped cancer patients, families & caregivers than his time as a Bomber player or President. Rest in Peace, Lyle Bauer. He'll be missed.
  21. A Bomber legend, whether you agreed with everything he did as Team CEO or not. Too soon ...
  22. What about the Ontario high school kids? Like Jeezus.
