  2. I'm fine with him saying the team was ****... I'm fine if he wants to call people out behind closed doors.... I'm not good with blaming everyone else publicly and saying it was in no way your own fault. Oi.
  3. Works very well for Tommy Stevens
  4. Today
  5. It's revenue, not profit. Their TV deal alone is reportedly worth around 20 million so they do seem to meet that criteria.
  6. Saw some of the exit interview with him, he’s a conceited prick, great professional goaltender but still a conceited prick. This is why some professional athletes should not be idolized, they provide great entertainment but that’s where the appreciation should end for athletes like him.
  7. How we feeling about #1 goalie PUBLICLY throwing everyone else under the bus and saying "not my fault..." ??
  8. Its been a long off season but there's reason to believe that maybe this season will be better than the last.
  9. Yesterday
  10. The TC battle for QB 2 and 3 tho just got more interesting no doubt. But appears to be one of perhaps 3 or 4 interesting TC battles at spots, DL, DB and Receiver being the other. Perhaps center OL depending on draft.
  11. Top 3 would be really sick right now. 1st overall could change the franchise but McKenna is a winger so I’m ok at 2 or 3 and get either Verehoff the big D out of North Dakota or even the Swede winger/potential center Stennberg, we like our Swedes recently. Salo. Freij. Sascha all Swedes but also all D men. Jets like their risers tho and they tend to work out. Haven’t been this high of a draft pick since Laine 2nd overall which we won from the 7th position i believe. Last real top 10 pick was Scheifele actually. There are a few interesting names on the top 10 15 list who the jets could potentially take at 2 3 or 7. It’s McKenna then anyone’s guess. Maybe once the lotto is done I’ll post some names I think would be interesting for the Jets cuz like I said picking at 2 or 3, you almost get your choice of who you want. Organizationally a top 3 pick, I’d be leaning heavy to the center prospects. Give me a riser like Scheifele was. There also appears to be 2 riser brothers or cousins on the top 15 list who appear to play together so there’s potential for a Brian Burke Sedin twins type of move also.
  12. Finally he made the right decision..he should have known and sucked it up after his 6 workouts after the Packers it wasn't in cards right now. History of players of his football pedigree never will succeed at qb down there...its a fact He has a lot to prove and learn and he finally will have the environment now to do it...now let's see what he does with it. Sure he looks the part...but so do a lot of players but they just can't make the jump. Lighting up Canadian college kids is a far cry from transferring it in pros..so the sooner he got here to try..the better his longterm football life will be Also I couldn't care less about people's boner about a Canadian qb..its irrelevant as the qb is just 1 of 24 starters...as a coach I want the 22...or 24 best available to me regardless of where they came from. To force a Canadian one...and 99 percent of time a lesser talent into one the more important spots to satisfy some stupid narrative...is well stupid...I could care less if he was a shot on a rock hatched by the sun...if hes the best then he plays
  13. I’ll just say this. I was surprised when we drafted a Canadian QB. I liked it after researching him a bit. I actually liked it more when Green Bay gave him a shot and honestly thought he maybe was screwed a bit as on the highlights and stats he looked calm and composed. After his release I hope he’d have seen the bs that goes on down there and realized his best way to the nfl is to come here especially after a few months of doing very little to nothing. I’m happy he signed with us. I think he’s got potential to be a future QB for us, I hope for our sake this kid takes the reins next season or when given a chance and runs with it. I’m a bombers fan and Elgersma is a bomber now. I’m not sure why I originally thought he wasn’t drafted last year. But he was wasn’t he. It wasn’t 2 years ago at all. Last year so honestly waiting a year for a draft pick ain’t so bad. Not sure where the didn’t want to play for Winnipeg stuff came from, ya why would pro players want to play in front of guaranteed sellouts every night but basically it’s Zach for sure then 2 others plus prob keep a 4th if 3 others show they are capable. Looking at it in realistic terms, I’d assume based on just logic that Elgersma is one of those 3. The other 2 , 2 of thorn UFL and terry. Logically terry or UFL boy likely getting cut just based on thorn and Elgersma being younger. Kinda wild, Zach has all the experience Terry? Very little then the other 3? Zero cfl experience. The backup and 3 QB spot is gonna be probably the most interesting training camp battle hopefully they all get enough reps, Terry needs to step up tho as he’s competing with 3 guys with zero cfl experience Any QB can run short yardage cuz if Terry can’t complete a pass after 2 3 years, CUT.
  14. I challenge anyone not to read that in the voice.
  15. Seriously, what happened to Ward? He was that good few years ago. Did he got injured and never fully recovered from it?
  16. Shitass long winter and offseason blues...Draft ( for the Bombers and Jets!) Can't come soon enough!
  17. Ah Jeez man its Friday, pour yourself your fave cocktail and relax.
  18. Oh FFS, don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Was there anything in my post that was even remotely negative about Elgersma?? Not going to argue with you over something as stupid as this. You **** on everyone here. As a mod, that's all you do. You're a bully. You use your position here to intimidate others with drive by smears all the time so why don't you just go crawl under a rock again. Cuz like a snake you only come out to bite someone when they least expect it. I said I meant he should move on from the NFL. Not the Bombers. If I made a mistake in clarity well so be it. I explained so it should be over withouit you coming after me. So, quit being an ass. I've tried to get along with you. Even tried ignoring you trolling & baiting me. Well, that clearly didn't work so go screw off. If anyone should STHU, it's you.
  19. Jets sign defenceman Garrett Brown to a two-year, entry-l...Brown signs two-year, entry-level contract with an average annual value of $1,050,000 in the NHL.Drafted 4 years ago at 5'9" He's 6'4" now
  20. You literally did not say that in the post I quoted no matter how slowly you want me to read the words. If you meant "at some point it's time for him to move on" then fine but I can't read your damn mind.
  21. lol you, me and literally every other literate person here all know that’s not all you said. You’ve been shitting on this guy for months because his career goals don’t align with your fandom. I hope you can learn to cheer for him and anyone else who chooses to manage their own career
  22. Tell me how many players have you scouted for the 26 draft. These comments are just so internet. The local lots of times don’t want to play for the hometown team because of outside pressures. I’m not sure ppl understand the pressure a local would be under. Free tix for friends, you get the bad friends asking for money. It’ doesn’t work out always that great
  23. Read what I said again. Slowly. I never said we should move on from Elgersma. I said at some point HE HAD TO MOVE ON from the NFL tryouts. I also said I hope he does well as I hope for any Bomber rookie trying to make the team. That's all I said. Like, seriously??
  24. It’s obvious that the UFL don’t make enough money to qualify. Isn’t it like 10 million in revenue or profit they have to be making. Ya. UFL ain’t close to that.
  25. Heavy balls was Corny. Dolegala throws rainbows. Why would we be even close to being at the point to moving on from a draft pick from less than a year ago? Should we take every QB off our neg list that has been there for more than a year because it's time to move on?
