While the scoreboard didn't show it, they got BADLY outplayed in the third .. I think Ottawa's first drive chewed up around 9 minutes (ending with a TD) while we went two and out twice before stringing together a couple of first downs to close out the quarter. It was just awful football coming out after the half and it's been emblematic of this team's play this year.

I think he only played in 15 last year. He picked up an ankle injury week 16 against Montreal and didn't play weeks 17 and 18.. Got a concussion Week 5 against the Bombers but played the next week. He had a foot injury against the Riders in week 10 and then missed week 11 before playing against the Lions week 12. So in a season and a half as a starter hes: Exited a game due to a concussion (Week 5 2024) Exited a game due to a foot injury and missed a game (Week 10 and Week 11 2024) Exited a game due to an ankle injury and missed 2 extra games (Week 16 through Week 19 2024) Got injured at the end of a game and then missed 3 games with a hip injury (Week 1 through Week 4 2025) Exited a game due to a concussion (Week 7 2025) Exited a game due to a knee injury (Week 11 2025) So out of 28 possible games, by my count he's only played 17 complete games.

It wasn't even 3rd quarter on... it was 27-13 at the 3 minute warning! Their was only a minute left when they choose to kick a field goal. Had they punted it would of forced Crum to go deep (which he is not good at) and go the whole length of the field with under a minute left with no time outs. Such a piss poor coaching decision to go for that field goal.

Not disagreeing at all. I'd be all for punting the ball away if they chose not to go for it after the sneak. Even if Sheehan puts in into / through the endzone for a single, it forces Ottawa to put a drive together AND successfully convert a 2 point attempt. Watching that game slip away from the third quarter onward was the most maddening thing in the world.

Here's another LOL moment from the game... Sterns made a heck of a grab on his touchdown catch and it was a perfectly placed ball as much as anything.... but why the **** is our endzone jump ball guy 5'8? Guy's been a good receiver for us, but man they're miscasting him as the guy you take those kinds of shots to the endzone with.

Think it was telling at halftime Holm mentioned to tsn that they were clean on their communication. Tells me that a lot of the problems the secondary has experienced were communication related.

#8 Collaros is just not playing well and he does not play well in big games (Grey Cup) Too many times with him at qb we go quarters with no points. Can't move the ball He seems to target with whom he is comfortable with and no one else.

And that's all well and good, but long field goals are iffy because of those reasons. Oshea needed to read the game situation and understand that just because Sergio has been money from a mile away doesn't mean you can regularly expect him to never miss long ones. Up 1 score with not much time on the clock the safest play is punt and pin Ottawa deep. Make them drive the field to tie. You still get OT if your defense has an epic pants pooping.

Ah that makes sense because it is against the Bombers. I was thinking they would keep the Road/Home split at 9, but because they are playing the Bombers they essentially have 10 home games. Would have been neat to see the Argos play another team.

The draw back of course.... how many people in winnipeg would pay to watch the argos and riders? Similarly how many gappers gonna shell out to watch the argos and Bombers?

I’m not convinced that Osh didn’t make that challenge in error…didn’t realize it would result in a worse outcome. Pretty sure, calling out the refs, wasn’t his intention.

Last night, post game, O'Shea was asked about the decision to kick the field goal (and was pressed on it a bit). He said he did it because he had faith in Sergio and the cover team. What was left unsaid (and I'll admit I'm reading into this a bit), is that he had no faith in the offense or offensive line to pick up that yard. I look at that situation and, to me, lining up for a QB sneak on 2nd and three signals that you intend to go again if it's close. I know Sergio has been great this year but that whole sequence was bizarre and nearly cost us the game.

I agree Goalie didn’t say they were elite, that was just my editorial on the issue. They have a lot of improvement to make in order to play their best ball. I’m not advocating for firings but the coaches need to improve their play selection and decisions in order to get the team to a contending level.

Bonds was good last year. Don't know what happened there. Allen looked like a young BA at safety.

I want to shout out, Schmeckle, Vaval, Allen and Ball..... guys who all made plays that were not really expected to.....this is what we need is for some "new" or unexpected names to step up......

Schmekel > Thomas... having them both out there is the biggest problem...

the odd part is he challenged a Demski catch last year just to stick it to the refs... knowing that wining the challenge would actually cost us two yards....

I may be in the minority here, but from what I see...once Schmekle and Person were added for rotation on teh D-line, the overall play of the unit improved...optimistic Woods can add even another notch up. Since we re-jigged our LB's I feel that they have been playing well, T Johns has surprised the heck outta me Benching bridges and moving Parker away from safety also seemed to improve the secondary, Parker is hurt, Bonds is done, but I will say although a small sample size Allen and Vaval show great promise, and Lawson jr, from my eye test has been an improvement from Bridges. In saying this, yes we still gave up an explosion play, and had a few slopy tackles, but.....I just have a feeling that this defence once a few guys settle in could become a really good unit Or specials are great...finally On offence though, I am not optimistic about, is it Hogan, is it the O-line, lack of receiver talent...is Brady more hurt then we know.....maybe, but many "questionable" calls...Some real work needs to be done with this unit

Who gets the revenue for the Argos/Bombers game?

it says "against the host teams"... so I think we just play Tor in Winnipeg twice next year instead of a home and home... which doesn't really make sense... you'd think it would be a neutral site game in fairness to the Argos For example they could play their "home" game against Sask in Winnipeg... and their "home" game against Wpg in Regina... this would also include the added benefit that the Wpg and Sask fans likely would not cheer for their rival giving the Argos something of a home field advantage...
