  2. Pssst, they be 7-1......end of story.
  3. Our OC and the sad state of affairs with our receivers are hindering both QB's and also BO There is no respect given to our current group and save for Demski teams can play soft coverage and blanket the field and make plays on our other guys who basically can't do much after catch...BO has more bodies to navigate and with no legit threats to pull guys away...well we see the results. People were saying Strev wasn't pulling trigger...well thank God as it would have ended in forced picks...ZC would have forced them and we'd be all squaking And hes not as limited running as many think...hes got nowhere to run...and we aren't moving him around to take advantage of a run outside...the times we do roll or sprint out hes been successful but we do it 2 times a game it seems...build your offence around stuff like that...bring wheatfall across the middle...which we never do...will multi layered patterns with speed...and then you'd see his run threat become just that...the threat again We need guys who can go get it...we try to use Demski as that and he can at times be successful but shouldn't be that guy...we Corcoran...Sterns..Case...ain't guys to do that...variations and confusion is what we need...we are so simple to defend.. as a rapper I know says ..."you try to cover...I fake a flag and run a post to toast" We need a pro offence...our stupid decision again to show zero urgency on the O.C position till well into 2025 and then promote an internal guy with a piddly limited resume...just because it seems was as dumb as reupping ZC sight unseen
  4. Yeah...agree...he's a Bomber propagandist as that's what hes paid for...kinda like Fox for Trump lol Hogan...out of his league right now...
  5. Still think we shoulda resigned him...tho we may have and based on last yr...and seeing this yr..re: Cdn DT he prob laughed and said eff off...I would have
  6. Yup...and 2 words re: Sask....Trevor Harris....nuff said...guys not a winner and we know full well reg. Season means jack And in addition to my previous comment...not sold on Mace either...lotsa season left and it's who's clicking in October
  7. Today
  8. A well-posed argument, but we will see if it holds this month.
  9. Calgary Stampeders sign former second-round CFL draft pick Kyle Samson, release one https://3downnation.com/2025/08/03/calgary-stampeders-sign-former-second-round-cfl-draft-pick-kyle-samson-release-one/
  10. I get that, but here is why it isn't just hate from me. 1, they've been beating up on teams like that, Montreal with no rb or qb. 2, They have the 2nd most points in the league, but their offense is mid-pack for TDS and bottom tier for FGs. 3, they have bad teams' cover play with unreliable k/p. 4, Their O is mid-pack in first downs, and their D is bottom tier in giving up among the most. 5, Their D is in the bottom tier for giving up TD drives, and only slightly better at forcing turnovers. 6, Discipline. They are the most penalized team in the league once again. 7, They are reliant on a bunch of old guys who have been pretty healthy so far. Harris, Micah, Rose, Hardrick, etc. McEwen and some WRs have been banged up. But in a league where every QB is hurt, and you have an old guy in Harris who's been healthy, it is just a matter of time until an injury hits that hurts their roster. 8, Ssk, is squeezing out a lot of close wins over banged-up teams. Finally, coaching. I think Mace is along for the ride on that roster. He's a good defensive coach, but he isn't the leader capable of getting that team to play disciplined, smart ball. They have a well-rounded offence, with a very good OL. It has the highest yards per play and the most big plays. They also have the best pressure front in the league. They are a good team. But they are a team that is peaking in the first 1/3 of the season. It is extremely rare, especially in the West, for that to pan out long-term. Montreal and Toronto are going to get a lot better when they get QBs back. Hamilton is already better. The riders probably have the best chance in the West of being a good team for an extended period of time. If Harris keeps playing. But I think they are a coaching change away from being a real GC contender.
  11. NOT gonna want to watch those games. But I probably will (sigh). I think it will be the Riders and TiCats rubbing our noses in it.
  12. Dline with this rotation looks good Lbs looked improved, DB's seemed better O line didn't look good Receivers looked ok....but the reality is the overall talent and types of skill sets is lacking, so even looking good isn't really good enough Strev is a warrior..but I am sure he will admit this was far from his best Brady ran well Specials other than Cooley's confusion looked really good ..Vaval....wow But why....why....why late in the game deep in T.O's end did we throw a deep corner route....to a what 5'9 receiver that was well covered.....why, why, why.....who called that.....run Brady twice....run the clock and at worst kick the 3......Either Strev or Hogan have to wear a BIG set of goat horns 🐐 for that incredibly stupid play call
  13. I like Streve....he has great hustle and can still run BUT why do I say 'OH NO' to myself, everytime he sets up to throw...Is it his unorthodox way he throws the ball...or is it his inaccuracy ??? I cringe when a lot of his passes look like they're going to get pic'd...You shouldn't have those concerns AND when he does have one pic'd off, my confidence in him as a no 1 takes a nosedive ...He still has time to prove he can be our starter BUT right now the confidence level in him is slowly fading...
  14. Plus: we don't know if the receivers are running the routes properly or if the play called takes advantage of opposition weaknesses. We do have pretty good proof that damned few of our receivers are disposed to fight for 50-50 balls.
  15. They used to get into it on the radio in O’shea’s early years when we were losing. I definitely don’t think they go out for beers after games.
  16. While I would love to agree with your comments I in all honestly, can not do so. After watching the Rider-Als game last night I believe the Riders are the real deal and IMHO it will be either Calgary or the Riders duking it out for a Grey Cup appearance in the Peg.
  17. Rider are legit, love em or hate em.
  18. Strev has been with the team all year and has had first team reps for weeks at a time. Doubt an extra practice would make a difference. Any good OC will scheme around a qbs abilities. Mid to deep passing isn't a strong point of CS. I see Jackson talking to CS all game on the sideline. Think he's getting the coaching unless JJ is a schmuch?? Running was a huge part of his game don't think that will ever return. Looked like Argos were keying on Brady and the inside run. Would think it would have opened up the passing game. We need an upgrade at receiver.
  19. Don’t you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby! Seriously though if it happens now it’s your fault lol. I don’t think the riders will be real competition for the cup. Calgary is the team out of the west. They got the D, the qb, the rb, WRs if they get healthy, and the brain trust. healthy Montreal and Toronto with Kelly out of the east too. Ssk is winning with smoke and mirrors, and so are we at this point.
  20. I’m talking talent brought into camp. We had a really good wr crop but also had schoen lawler etc. lber last year was very good but also blocked this time by biggie and kyrie. Garbutt isn’t a dt. Fox has been the best inside run stopper in the league. Guys are not talentless amorphous blobs of nothing until suddenly they produce and become some thing. You may not like guys or see the talent, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
  21. OL Justin Mayers out of Colorado has been added to the PR. Went to Broncos mini-camp this year but got cut. Played Guard throughout his NCAA career. Listed at 6'4", 320. Pure guard. Interesting add.
  22. Hulu released one final trailer for King of the Hill. Tomorrow's going to be fun
  23. You don’t want OL chasing guys across the field. They are making a pocket. The issue on that first INT is Streveler staring down his first read and then IMO (others I respect who know about football disagree) the throw he made was extremely inaccurate for the guy he was targeting (Wheatfall). IMO that ball is behind Wheatfall and short, potentially because Streveler pulls up at the end realizing he’s throwing into a pile of Argos downfield. The first read stare down is a big part of all the sacks too. You’re watching a QB that was one read then **** it check down to my legs. But the legs don’t work anymore. He isn’t a guy that can operate in the pocket at the speed of these games as a passer. The biggest problem with Streveler in there is complete inaccuracy in that intermediate 8 yard to 20 yard range. It’s basically a coin toss if it’ll be an INT every time. And you can see that weighing on him. He’s thinking and everything in the pocket is moving too slow unless he’s just throwing to a spot, which can also be dangerous for turnovers. The velocity combined with being a catchable ball isn’t there. And it’s way worse than Collaros. You can go to the well with the backfield motion, levels kind of plays where he has flat option, out/corner option and run option. But run option is all but dead. He’s not setting his feet to throw and there’s no hip rotation. He’s throwing from his right shoulder, nothing from the core and lower body. They are squeezing as much as they can out of him IMO.
  24. I don’t disagree with this take. And to N’s point, “hack” was over the line on my part. I withdraw the use of that word. Poor form! I do maintain though that being a “dyed in the wool” Bomber fan does not make for objective writing of the kind I am interested in, particularly when looking for a critical evaluation of the home side. So when it comes to tension between Doug Brown’s take and that of Ed Tait, well, that’s a bit like who’s critical analysis do you trust more when it comes to your government, the official party spokesman (rah! rah!) or the newspaper critic covers the political beat? Yes, they both offer the chance for guy to make a living but the former tends to be bland and predictable in comparison to the latter. And, so with Tait, he was immeasurably more interesting to me in his former role. BUT, as per N’s critique of this critic, pt taken! please strike my use of the “H“ word from the Hansard! 🙂
  25. Strev is not a gunslinger QB. Our gameplan needs to reflect that. He has to take his deep shots but it's got to be shots that only his receiver has a shot at. We were winning. Thats the bottom line in sports. Whatever the coaches were doing wrong they were doing enough right to make up for it. Now..not so much.
  26. Who is this tremendous talent at wr, dt, and lber? Ayers maybe has the potential...Who do you got at dt and wr? I suppose Wilson but that's about it. You may like Fox and Garbutt but to call them tremendous talent is a pretty big reach. We are letting tremendous talent go out the door tho.
