  3. Right? We used basically none of what hogan was running in camp. If jackson was here, maybe we make changes much earlier and have a better play book. It was pretty clear he took over play calling late, not that things got to where they needed to be. But it is really hard to entirely remake the offence mid season. Which makes sense, as we seemingly kept trying to do full installs. My hope is we either keep jackson and bring in a really good oc candidate, or bring in one a good oc, and a great under coach. Like bourgoin and Costanza. Both guys familiar working with the mafia zach etc. If we could keep Jackson as qb coach and some how get bourgoin and costanza that’d be great.
  4. It wouldn't be long before he said to himself. "Urine trouble".
  5. I'm curious how much it impacted things that Jarious was gone all through camp with family matters and didn't get into town until the season had started. Maybe if he gets a full TC and calls his own playbook.....?
  6. Don't forget it was John Murphy, also, who got into it with the fans at that one Argos/TiCats game. No doubt inebriated fans were as much to blame, but..... ...
  7. Would love to hear the back story on how Jarius Jackson was mismanaged. Pretty scary if it was the same guy who thought Mitchell was still an effective receiver.
  8. Today
  9. Here comes my nice comment about the mafia for the year. I’d rather see us be bad, with jake/kola and the rest of mos old boys club and roster management, than see the likes of kelly or chris jones running a team with a bunch of guys who are dirty on the field and bad off it.
  10. I feel unless you going after Canadian receivers like an Emilius, you should trust your scouting to find 1 American guy or 2. There’s 50000 guys down south. Find 2. Spend the cash elsewhere. id be looking hard at upgrading the oline DL and Canadian talent through free agency. Likely in that order and since I’ve probably posted this in the wrong thread, I’d take several of the rider free agents here. Allen Emilius and yoshi honestly. If big Stan retires. I think I’d think really hard about trying to flip the ratio so I can start 3 American oline. Yosh/Broxton, Wallace ??? Vanterpool, Randolph. Demski. Clercius. Emilius Brady 2 oline kramdi at LB with smith there. I’d look at Shay in the middle also with Novak there. Prob be going OL LB with my first few picks. find a way to run all American DL also and with 8 Canadian starters, even 7, there’s no need for Canadian defensive line
  11. John Murphy. Same dude who was here with Mike Kelly right. Thought the talent that camp was outstanding but thought Murphy was not a good dude.
  12. Yeah. Agreed. Soccer. Hockey. All of them. There were go to plays even as youth.
  13. definitely a lot of interesting players on this list... but I won't get too excited about anyone until we see what the actual list is going to look like in Feb... 75% of these guys will be resigned or have NFL opportunities...
  14. He’s not under the radar, although 3Down only had him ranked 33rd on their fa list, but I’d love to see Keesean Johnson here. Decent size and is always open. 1,900 yards in 28 CFL games. Clarke Barnes is another receiver I’d like. Would be a big upgrade as our 2nd Cdn rec.
  15. Pretty risky to keep the guy on. Think you just have to thank him for his effort and move on. Better for both parties really. I can`t imagine a guy being told he wasn`t good enough for the job resuming a lesser job under his replacement. I think that would eat at a person.
  16. Hell no…. Maybe he can change out the urinal cakes. Maybe.
  17. Oh the whole thing got me thinking of Ride fans! 😂
  18. It’s weird but the first part of your sentence where it ends at sister automatically gets me thinking of Roughrider fans for some reason.
  19. Yep. We had go to plays, the problem is, it's the same go to play that lapo installed in 2019. Smash and drive passing concept, with a play action and a half roll out. Without Lawler, we don't have the wideout who can run the shallow corner well enough. Lawler could beat his man with his get off and break. That meant he was open and still had a ton of room on the sideline. Guys like Wheatfall might get open, but by the time they do with just speed and not the polished route running, they are too close to the sideline. With Lawler, Zach could either throw a very safe pass to the sideline and let him run it down, or if the DB is cheating or trailing, he could lob it and let Kenny run under it. Very similar to the Dagger variation we ran, where Schoen would go on a deep in route, and Lawler would go on a deep out route (Instead of a post). Where even if we didn't get guys open, zach would roll out the rest of the way, drawing the D to him, then hitting the come back from schoen or lawler. We used to have lots of go-to plays. Slip screens, bubble screens, Fake bubble jet sweep, etc. The whole play action jet sweep used to be our bread and buter as much as the run was. Most of that stuff has been gone for 2 seasons. Everything our offence has done since 21 has been continually devolving. Buck took the training wheels off our offence, let zach go wild with deep shots, and showed great promise in game plan development with some tremendous screen pack based games, pa, layering, and route developement. But since then, we've only lost what we succeeded at.
  20. I heard his sister is getting him rims for Xmas lol
