  1. Past hour
  2. Likely they were looking at the whole team, we had spent a disproportionate ount on offence esp at reciever and needed to adjust, this was prior to extra 400k being announced. they gambled on Schoen returning to form As head coach OShea was looking at the whole team.in setting priorities, didnt anticipate that most of their free agent finds would suck
  3. O’Shea does have a say on who gets drafted and he absolutely lobbies for players he likes/wants. Walters has the final say. Both things are true.
  4. We need to see more Brady involved on the offence. We abandoned the run so quickly on Sunday. I don't understand what Hogan is thinking up there. You have the best running back in the league, USE HIM outside of blocking. No one will be surprised if Brady chooses to sign elsewhere in the off season.
  5. Today
  6. Ahhhh Kevin Costner. Same tone, same accent - no matter how everyone else around him is performing.
  7. ^^ Good stuff...went well with my morning coffee
  8. Not even joking - that's comparable to preseason pregame here.
  9. Lol, he doubled down.
  10. markonfootball needs to get out more if he thinks that's something outstanding.
  11. It's rare but there have been multiple players in other sports who have won MVP on a team with a losing record (mainly baseball but has happened in the NBA as well). Most recent example was A-Rod in 2003 with Texas despite being 20 games below .500 (71-91). Cal Ripken Jr and Andre Dawson also did it a few years apart from each other in the late 80's/early 90's.
  12. I think I watched the entire video of behind the draft and Walters definitely, and 100%, has final say. I didn't even hear MOS say a word the whole time until Walters had decided and even then Walters said OK this who we are going with, Mike you're good with that? And it wasn't so much him asking MOS but telling him. You guys are really reaching now. I am sure that MOS said yea we don't need Kenny Lawler. 🤣 Post Rigmaiden it has not been good.
  13. So this was discussed in the Labour Day thread but MOP, to me Arbuckle, Mitchell, Adams and even Rourke should be ahead of Harris. Harris is the QB on the best team but the others have been more outstanding. I also think Harris may win because the media will hype him like they did Milligan.
  14. It is how it works in sports tho. The MOP is never on a team with a losing record. Like ever.
  15. No, that's not how it works. MOP not MVP.
  16. That’s a crazy stat. Might be a moot point though, as I think the Argos finish the season at least 9-9.
  17. I think we’re actually somewhere in between. I agree we’re not ‘04 bad, I kinda forgot how bad we really were that year. The Kenton Keith game being at home really sucked.
  18. Huh? That’s a receivers roll. They go a get a ball that is thrown to them if it’s possible knowing full well they could take a hit or fall in an awkward position etc. sorry but when 300 pound monsters are on your tail you throw the ball, especially if it’s a guy like Schoen who has proven he can make the circus catches.
  19. I'm not trying to be a jerk but how can you make this claim? There are nine teams in the league each with their own team of MDs, physios, trainers, etc. There is no way that a fan (you, me, all the folks on this board) can know the competence of the personnel on the Bombers "med team", let alone the other eight teams. I don't know if Schoen re-injured the same leg yesterday but I do know from photos circulated here that he was wearing a pretty heavy brace during the practices leading up to the game. Oops, I posted this before reading some of the other comments on this particular post.
  20. If hes hurt again this time, there was very little contact which is scary in and of itself
  21. I think they need to try Eli at centre and 100% insert an American at one of the guard spots. That's a far greater concern than any issues at receiver. ZC clearly has some good football left in him, but he needs support. The OL that played yesterday, won't stand a chance against the Stamps' pass rush.
  22. Schoen was hurt late in 23, early in 24 and once, possibly twice in 25. Blame the medical staff or blame bad luck but chances are he's never the same player again. Be honest, would you want to pay him $175,000 for next year?
  23. Schoen would not keep getting hurt - if the QB would stop throwing passes where the receiver is about to be demolished - nor if the OC was smart - and made plays that actually gave them opportunities to be open...
