  4. Draft is Tuesday. Are we better waiting to see who falls to 4 or making a move up to 1 to draft local product Vaccaro?
  5. He does not have an NFL arm. He is great at maximizing the abilities he has but he just can't make every throw needed. Add to that he is small, and a head case and it's no surprise really. That being said if im Walter's im picking up the phone and giving his agent my best pitch to come to us (he's on our neg list). His velocity of throws wouldn't be as big an issue in the CFL. His deep ball would be below average but acceptable, and his accuracy is top notch. Delivering balls with velocity in tight windows is his biggest flaw and the bigger field of the CFL would give him that extra time and space needed for his lack of a big arm.
  6. 3DownNationCould CFL be next for Diego Pavia after NFL draft snub? -...It doesn’t seem unrealistic that Heisman Trophy finalist Diego Pavia could end up in the CFL in the relatively near future. The highly-touted collegiate quarterback went unselected in the recent 2026Pavias rights have become significantly more interesting. Passed on in the draft and not in the first wave of priority free agents yet. Hard to imagine him not getting a camp invite atleast. surprised no one is talking a shot on him
  7. I think they are preparing for a Stanley evealing Bryant sized hole in the OL as early as next year. However, if they do go 3 IMP OL...which they might if Eli or Wallace dont show well...we still dont need to run 3 NAT rec. I would hope not to see that. The number of interior IMP OL is very revealing about their overall faith in our NAT OL tho.

  11. Sportsnet.caReports: Four Canadians sign NFL deals after draft
  12. As mentioned it's all about health.... If Ceresna and Collaros, in particular, stay healthy... We'll be more than okay. I keep worrying about demski every year, too. Not getting any younger... Hoping he can continue to stay relatively healthy.
  13. If we manage to get 2nd/3rd de/pass rusher worth a damn we are easily top. That is assuming we play the best players on d, which I think we are well set up to do reasonably well.
  14. Cocoran had terrible testing numbers at the combine and looked slow as molasses when he got in. Rudy is a great movie but not as a real life member of a team.
  15. Yesterday
  16. You think they are bringing 13 import OL to camp to see if they can make Winnipeg run out of food?
  17. That’s too bad, BT no goals no wins no more playoffs. Shucks.
  18. Yeah i agree with you all about Bjorck size, especially at center, but there is something i really like about his metrics and already playing against men plus he took all the faceoffs over Frondell ..but i agree top 2 definitely McKenna or Stenburg.😊
  19. I think that our management/coaching decisions this off-season clearly indicate that offence will be a priority this year. At least that's what our player and coaching changes suggest. I would be very surprised if we hire a passing game guru OC then hand him 3 NAT receiving group.
  20. I think Clercius is better than what he's shown. Corcoran was a rookie with limited reps. Can't really fairly assess him yet imo.
  21. I like verehoff because right handed. Reid would be fine also.
  22. My opinion...i think we will have the top..if not top 2 defence in league and and strong ST's and will be our identity..we have the horses and pieces there to be an active attack defense...and the true success hinges on 2 things...What ZC are we gonna see..legit OC..Some legit top 3 starter receivers...BO..and a oline light yrs better than last yr...all the excuses have been purged so if he is not getting it done we need a inseason transition and not sure if that's capable The other thing that is key is if Osh handcuffs us again with his questionable rostering and decisions All I can currently see where he could eff things up is the dumb decision to go 3 national receivers and have Corcoran in spot 3
  23. All I can say is I hope the CFL scribes keep rating as an 'also ran' because I know we'll surprise the hell out of a few of them....These kinds of positionings and ratings this early, when a serious shot hasn't even been fired, amuse the heck out of me...We definitely had an excellent fa and I believe some of our off season signings are going to come through for us....I also believe quarterbacking will be the deciding factor about our success one way or the other...TC should tell us a lot and is certainly going to give us a better picture...In any case we are going to put a scare into some of the 'so called front runners' and could even give the top spot a run ourselves in the west.....We shall see
  24. 100%. I expect us to be a real tough team to play this year. As always health will play a big factor. Qbing will dictate how good we will be. Best case scenario, zach has one more magic run in him with a blm/harris like resurgence. In which case we are a top contender. Worst case, zach is done/injured and we have a gritty tough team that only wins ugly. maybe the most likely situation is zach is the best we’ve seen in 2-2.5 years but does not return to his peak level. Then we have a 18/19 type team but with the sporadic ability to put up a blow out on any one.
  25. Seconded... But I like where the media's head is at. Let's go surprise everyone.
  26. I agree on this. He's got intriguing skill, works like a dog and plays a solid 200-ft game against men in the SHL, but it feels too risky to pick a player of his stature in the top 10. He could end up a Top 5 talent when looking back, but you can't afford to miss on these high picks.
  27. Yeah, no mention is made that sask has lost Carney,Allen,Reaves,Nield, Baldanado, Ajou, and Micah Johnson, yet Cfl.ca figures they will win more games than last year. ( Winnipeg and Edmonton both will be stronger as well)
  28. I'm pretty confident we will be good this year. How good will depend on our quarterbacking. I personally have high hopes with Broxton and the overall commitment to revamping our OL...and then Tim White to throw to... Defense is really shaping up to be menacing. Riders suck, BC sucks. Time to assert our position back at the top of the mountain.
