Super pumped about Elgersma. He's definitely not just some scrub Canadian QB fodder. He's got the size, skills, and pedigree to be the next Rourke. He was the best Packers QB not named Love during their training camp last year. I think this guy is the real deal and our future at QB. Exciting stuff.

Few monthes after rourke comes up to the riders, we will all be sick of hearing about canadian qbs across the whole league.

Another Buff would be fantastic please and thank you but know there will never be another one like him. We need upgrades everywhere but if I had to pick one our 2nd forward line upgrade depth is crucial.

I say we draft an American player who within two years of being drafted is complaining that he isn't playing in the States forcing us to trade him at some point.

I don't think we will even get a decent idea of how good he is/can be this year. He's extremely toolsy but just as raw. I suspect he will be glued to qb4 or qb3 spot this year unless something crazy happens. Either moving him up, or failing one of those early practice red flag checks.

The lotto would solve some long term problems. Pick 1 you obviously grab McKenna but any of the top 3 4 hell honestly I think at 6 or 7 currently we also will get a legit stud but lotto win allows us to basically chose who. Any of the top 10 outside of McKenna could go 2.

Looks like a good year to be picking in the top 10. Lots of good options and no real consensus on rankings beyond McKenna at #1. All going to come down to the lottery and team need/philosophy.

It’s crazy, because if anything I think he’s underhyped at this point. We all really have no idea, he’s raw and will need coaching but the NFL liked his tools and I don’t see why we wouldn’t either. But because the majority of us are butthurt, we just expect him to suck. He might but he also might be our next QB1. We’re so far removed from what he’s been working on to have any idea if he’s good or not.

For all the hype Elgersma has received and people basically making him 3rd string already, I’m not sure he’s on the active roster. He might be 1 gamed for a bit. He’s not rourke and he hasn’t played a truly competitive game since school. There’s gonna be some rust I’d imagine and some learning curve. I hope the kid shows up and shows out but I think he’s being overhyped lol. Canadian trained QBs just don’t work out normally. Personally I like that thorn kid who called up Kent Austin to talk cfl then came up here and signed. I personally don’t care if a qb is Canadian or not, we already sell out every game, it’s not like he’s gonna draw in more people. All I know in the cfl the guys who come in with hype or former other league mvps, it doesn’t normally work out. It’s the unknown dude nobody talks about who you end up going hmm. Thorn sounds like that guy. I hope Elgersma does well tho and lights it up. Who knows maybe it’s Zach Elgersma Thorn. Who knows really. I don’t think terry is a lock at all and the UFL mvp has as much cfl experience as Elgersma and Thorn.

I actually think tall QB’s are a little over rated running the short yardage, sometimes it’s better to run under your Line, even if you’re tall you’re not going to bulldoze your way through a 315 pound lineman, best is to go low and keep your legs moving forward.
