  1. Past hour
  2. Arguable that the coaches always know more than we do- I cite the choices of O'Shea and Hogan.
  3. And not hard on the eyes, either. (admittedly sexist comment).
  4. With J. Jones being cut, this means that we will be stuck with him at MLB until either or O'Shea dies.
  5. For cripes sake...You mean they've started moving them already...lol ...Tony Jones will have a hard time making anyones roster due to his age....Wilson..most likely
  6. That’s a crazy contract for a team that probably doesn’t make the playoffs this year maybe not even next
  7. he didn’t lose his job during a season, he was injured. Pickett and mcmannis was there when he was playing in 2023. His contract ended and they didn’t bring him back. That wasn’t the question though was it? So let’s put the goal post back, would kyrie or jones take reps from mcmannis or picket like Jones did, on any other team in the league? The answers no, they wouldn’t.
  8. Today
  9. 6 to 8 for sure. Probably closer to 6. I wonder who they decide to keep up now. Salo is rhd but has looked pretty strong. He’s waiver exempt tho. Ville and Stan are LHD. So is fleury who played with pionk a bit last year in the playoffs. Then you got Schenn and miller. Demelo Josh. Pionk Fleury. Schenn Stanley. Miller Ville. Samberg to IR. Salo directly to moose. But Salo prob deserves a few games if he keeps it up. Might be a nice compliment to Josh honestly sooner rather than later. Still think they might waive heinola tho. Not sure he gets picked up.
  10. When’s the next lockout. Honestly. USA gonna go broke lol.
  11. I’ll get standings updated tomorrow. Put Picks below.
  12. https://www.nhl.com/news/kirill-kaprizov-signs-eight-year-136-million-contract-with-minnesota-wild The Wild are ******.
  13. Pickett was gone and in Ottawa the year Jones lost his job and Mcmannis has been in Toronto just as long as Jones was in Toronto so no that has nothing to do with anything. And yeah Tony Jones and Kyrie Wilson would absolutely be starters in this league on other rosters based on their play this year.
  14. Could take up to a year before fully healed. He may not be back before Xmas.
  15. Bell owns a bunch of channels on which they could advertise/promote the CFL. Wouldn't cost them a cent. I've never seen a CFL ad on any other channel than TSN. Granted I don't find much to watch on CTV and they have many CTV affiliates so maybe some ads appear on them, I don't know. That's not counting all the radio stations Actually that company should be broken up into a 100 pieces. That kind of monopoly isn't conducive to innovation
  16. It's not just Mauldin. It's the last couple of seasons. Both Osh & Walters have no contract next season.
  17. Mauldin was the next great thing in 2022, but couldn’t sustain it. Now he’s just a guy. I would’ve been fine taking a chance on him, but not ready to fire the gm over passing on him.
  18. I don’t even think that’s wheatfall is streaky, he’s off way too frequently for that. he’s a guy who the lights come on for occasionally and the rest of the time is bleh at best. The guy had one big game last year, largely on one big catch, another good game on one big catch, and this year one big game and one good game based on one big catch. That’s 4 good +/- games based largely on 3 catches, in 21 starts. If you take away his 3 biggest catch and runs, dude has no career. Hes a poor mans chris brazzell
  19. Wynton mcmanis lol, and when he was healthy he stole half his reps. Their other lber was pickett, aka the two best lbers in the cfl in the last 5+ years. and Jjones took reps and starts from them. Woodbey isn’t being used like jones and didn’t pass him on the depth chart. woodbey is being used as a db. He could be used as a wil like that but isn’t. Does any one think that Tony jones or kyrie would steal reps/starts from mcmannis or pickett on any other team in the league?
  20. If we keep Walters expect another useless off season of non signings & defections. Not much of a risk to trade for Mauldin. He'd have helped us for a playoff run. We could have had the guy for a fourth rounder. Now we lose Jones. Walters has to go.
  21. Same for Zach. The play by play announcer for the Ti Cats back in 1972-75 is a member of my Facebook page CFL History. Ealey was a very good passer until he came to Winnipeg. He told me that Ealey suffered a shoulder/arm injury in 1973 before he was traded to the Bombers. The Ti Cats kept it a secret so when the Bombers traded Don Jonas for Ealey they never knew of the injury. It took him over 2 years to recover so he was just about healed up when he was traded to Toronto a year later. It would explain why Ealey played so badly as a Blue Bomber. You'd think the Bombers would have done a physical so I don't know why Ealey's injury was never discovered. Then again, the GM at the time Earl Lunsford was so upset with Jonas criticizing him in the media at the time. I think Lunsford would never have voided that trade & just didn't care. Out of spite Lunsford wanted him out of Winnipeg.
  22. Laura Diakin is a much more superior host. She's a true professional who seems to understand the game better than Kate. She should be the full time host.
  23. My concern is what the hell did the gm and coach talk about going into the offseason? Guys we drafted get no defensive snaps either. Just bizarre what's happening
  24. I’m just irritated with yet another terrible handling of free agency dollars. Sign a guy to decent money, healthy scratch (aka pay him against the cap to do nothing) and then move him to the PR where we definitely also still paid his full salary and then cut him for the playoff run. What the hell was the overall plan for this guy?
  25. While I don't think Wheatfall is useless, I do see that he has been a bit streaky. We let Lawler go in the off-season, and for the first half of the season this looked like an epic mistake, especially since we heard the difference was a few 10k. Then O. Wilson came back, and he has made an impact. And let's not forget Mitchell - held off the roster for how many games? Because he came to camp out of shape, or something like this - coaches know way more than us so gotta respect their decisions, but can still complain that he wasn't getting in to the line-up. I sure was wondering why he didn't crack it for so long. But now, he's coming on and making plays. Maybe, just maybe, Osh and the coaches know what they are doing and did the right thing in holding him out long enough. Stearns - I haven't followed him enough to have a take, but it sure seems this receiving corp is coming together. And just when Zach is back, and finding his 2019 form... (Okay, that last one was a flyer - he seriously looked back to 2019 form on Saturday, but it is one game, so I know that is a stretch. Still, it's a stretch that I can hope for and get behind!)
  26. When the NHL is on, yes.
  27. Bret’s such a whiner now. anyways. 3 stars lol 1. Zach - I mean that was his best game in a while . I like that if something isn’t there he doesn’t force it now. He’s managing the game better. Plus almost 400 passing. 2. Brady. He’s our MOP. He’s probably the MOP of the league in reality. Legit dual threat on pace for 2000 combined yards. Prob won’t make it but gonna be close and he missed 2 games 3. Houston and or Lawson Jr. Kenny was invisible.
