  1. Past hour
  2. How many years is it since Sask has won a game after Labour Day? 2 or 3? What was there record at this time last year? What is different that has everyone so sure they willl be for real through the fall? CGY looks tough but haven’t really faced any adversity from injuries yet, we have as good a chance as anyone in getting to the game this year.
  3. How is it too late? It’s not even Labour Day yet for Christsake. They are in position for a playoff spot. The summers hottest teams aren’t always the ones doing well in the playoffs.
  4. Today
  5. Why is everyone assuming Schoen won’t be playing on LD. According to Hodge and the FP, he is expected to play.
  6. Even healthy post injury, can't remotely expect him to be the same guy.
  7. If Demski and/or Sterns will not be available, our best option is to bring back Myron Mitchell. He knows the system.
  8. I've seen this all before. Kyle Walters with the worst case of a GM tearing a team apart since Earl Lunsford crushed the 1972 Western Conference Champion Blue Bombers to punish Mack Herron & Jim Thorpe for simple weed possession charges by releasing them. Both were fined with no criminal records. A deep threat one thousand yard plus receiver & the league's leading rusher from thje previous year both gone in 1973 with the snap of his fingers. Over 2500 yards of offense vanished. The CFL's leading passer Don Jonas struggled the following season because the receiving core became a bunch of slugs. It took years for the Bomber organization to recover. Fast forward ahead half a century... with the Grey Cup being played here this season, we still don't know the team's motives as to why this off season was the way it was. Did Miller direct Walters to not spend any money on players?
  9. Which is why if we miss the playoffs or fall in the standings it's time for a change after 12 seasons. Walters has gone stale. You make a change in the off season. We still have 8 games to play.
  10. firing the top football people on a 6-4 team that's sold out a bunch of home games in a row. yeah, that would indeed send a message.
  11. Nah... That D has problems. Even Edmonton was burning us for the explosions. And this O without Schoen, Demski and Sterns is a dog's breakfast. It's bad... But I still have faith they can fix it before it's too late.
  12. I guess at this point one needs to ask the question.... does Calgary just have this teams number and maybe it's not all that bad?
  13. Don't look now but the LOLks are figuring some **** out. I hate the Faj more than just about anyone, but he's just experienced enough to not always give the game away. If the other 2/3 of the team can be good, a Faj led offense just has to not be awful and they can win games...
  14. Ya... That we're an absolute clown show organization that you should never work for....
  15. he isn’t that calibre either though. until he comes back and finds that level of sustained play, he’s damaged goods.
  16. Nooooooo. A recipe for conflict and disaster. One way or another, the chances of the Bombers going to the Grey Cup game are very, very small, and firing the coach and/or GM midseason would send a message.
  17. Except that Bighill was nowhere near ready to start the season, is still not ready and may never be. Forced O'Shea's hand- or maybe Walters made the decision.
  18. Fun fact, despite being 3 games back of the Riders right now, the Bombers actually control their own destiny for a home playoff game. They also have a game and a half cushion over the Lions right now.
  19. Nice drive for Ottawa after that turnover.
  20. Yup...classic Faj for sure
  21. The amount they spent on that defense in the offseason you would expect it to have been better than it has so far, although it looks to be rounding into shape. As I type this the Faj giveth and he takes away, nice looking 30 yard scramble and then he gets smoked and turned it over.
