  2. Yes we absolutely need Gatkuoth's passport on the DL, like desperately. Munier Bailey and Gatkuoth are not every down DE's. Both fill the same role. There is no world where dressing both of them makes sense unless one is a starter. I agree with your point on DL roster numbers, but it is the interior of our line that needs more bodies to rotate, not DE. Look around the league at the number of 30+ starters on any team. I agree that we are probably needing a roster refresh age wise, but we are not way out of bounds by league standards here.
  3. Pick 'Ems are back this year. How do they work? Each week you pick the winners for all CFL games (including playoffs). You get one point for every correct pick. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins a $50 gift certificate at the Bomber store. Picks will be done through the polling system. Polls close at game start of the first game of the week. I will accept picks for games that have not started yet through PMs if you are late getting them in. Picks this week need to be in by 6:30PM Thursday, June 4th If you want an idea of what it takes to win it all, and who your competition might be, here is list of the top winners over the last decade. Quite a few recurring names in there. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRQikWG0ORBH-vKLDh7NvgF3gGpfxxX6vusCXZRZGfkC1g1LBQ9vFKr6wDBdm8qM17-alI3wanI9j0w/pubhtml
  4. odd take... while not a superstar, Cobb has been serviceable to solid when he has played... he's certainly a candidate for an upgrade, but not the worst of our depth problems....
  5. Euphoria done TVLineEuphoria Ending At HBO After 3 Seasons - TVLineThe party's over for Euphoria: Sunday's season finale will be a series finale as well, with the HBO drama ending after three seasons.
  6. Who is our “young” core? Demski, White, Brady, Neuf, Bryant, Eli, Broxton, Willie, Ceresna, Jones, Kyrie, Nichols, Moxey, Sergio … all of these guys are closer to the end than the beginning and creeping up in age. I know 30 isn’t what it used to be in sports, but we don’t have a ton of young guys at all. We’ve got a couple.

  8. Ahh, so I see its the time of year when we pretend pre-season games are the be all end all of evaluation.

  15. A special deal for season ticket holders makes it more appealing for sure.

  18. Along the same vein - When I was having my morning coffee earlier today, I was watching the latest Handled Internally podcast that had both ZC and Gabe Wallace on it. Darren Cameron mentioned roughly 7 minutes in that Wade Miller is working on special Bomber season ticket pricing for the DAZN package (details to come at a later date), so that definitely at least made me curious what that will look like when/if that comes to fruition.

  20. I think he's solid for what he is and would be a great depth piece.... but as a starter I think he's a guy you strive to upgrade on, and I think we likely do have some better options on the team already.
  21. Chungh was absolutely the right pick... We were going to take him with our NEXT pick (and I remember that many here, following along live, thought there was a chance we could get Nic with our next pick...) but Taman scooped him. There was a thought that maybe other GMs didn't know as much about Demski, but Taman was still following the Bisons closely and really wanted him... I remember that draft very well.
  22. I think Cobb is a serviceable player. I would roster 7 recs (two Cdn backups) if we’re starting three. We need more depth.
  23. I think he’s pretty good. The problem is we had prime Biggie who was one of the best linebackers of all time. Players like that don’t come around very often.
  24. Chungh wasn't a bad pick- he was very serviceable for several years before fleeing home. Yes, Demski turned out to be a very good player, but he served his apprenticeship with the Riders but didn't blossom until he got back home. You pays yer money and you takes yer chances.
  25. Anything is better than Cobb. Roster management is certainly a mystery with Osh.
  26. And if some do get cooked throughout the season (injury or film saying they suck) aren’t really good teams prepared with quality depth? On paper how do we score with our depth? I guess we will soon find out.
  27. I don't get the fascination with Tony Jones. He's an average MLB and we're on year 3 of him and we seem to treat him like he's 2018 Biggie.
  28. I find it interesting about the comments about fielding the same team lol our roster is built from returning players, free agent signings and the draft. Most teams aren’t looking to fill several starting spots in training camp and if they were they would be in a lot of trouble. I don’t see how we’re different than any other team in the league. Most of the opportunities come from injuries, I think we’ve done a decent job of bringing in young guys to replace veterans of the past two/three years. We were a very old team. Besides Zach Bryant/patty and Willie we have a relatively young core. None of the players I mentioned were going to be going anywhere this season. I think the team showed it can move on from players.
  29. We definitely upgraded a couple positions...but looking at what we kept..and PR'd..our depth i bet gonna be even worse than last yr..and heavily relying on old guard to stay healthy. And I didnt think it was possible but our receiving group..especially if we stupidly go 3 Canadian will be worse than last yr...especially if white or Pokey go down...plus I have zero faith Demski will go unknicked..
  30. I will say this though... going from Jake to Jake at DT is going to make a tremendous difference in the effectiveness of the defense as a whole. Let's just hope the old guys aren't cooked by the time playoffs roll around
  31. And passed on the kid in bc who schooled us What did Daniel's do..really to make the team other than being a pick we traded up to get? Didnt catch a ball..the couple routes he went out on he looked awkward and lost...his pass protection was awful...and this shitkicking blocking Walters yammerned on about..I didnt see it in the 2 games or 4 practices I went to For that matter what did Kyrie and Jones do to earn the spot other than be vet holdovers? Yet here they are gonna be starting...Smith..Woodbey..Ayers and Griffin tho showed they are worthy and should take the main reps...Shay as well and really Clinton out played them all and "hustled" "tried" hard too...its Corcoran's traits Osh raves about and gets him playtime..why doesn't it work for a player possibly pushing a vet out? Dumping a Jones or Wilson ...or DA'n one wouldn't hurt us in the least...but..osh be oshin just like I be Boochin...some u all think just cause he the HC he is never wrong and not flawed. Yes. See my previous comment
  32. Look it's not even necessarily the numbers at lb.... I honestly question if we're playing the best guys as starters.
  33. That’s correct. We passed on Lamar Durant to take Richards.
  34. As we prob dress 4 dl and have Ayers listed as a DE..and Mills grinds us into Salisbury steak by 4th quarter
  35. We all have opinions...yours tho are out to sea in a big way...I bet come game 1 we will have a handicapped depth chart...and you can think what u want...and guys will have input but end of day its a HC final say. And hall has tons of experience and sway and yeah osh didnt have plums...or acumen to disrespect or over rule Hall..big difference.
  36. That's not what happened. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_CFL_draft We didn't get scooped one spot before. We could have taken Demski #2 overall but we took Sukh Chungh instead. And then when we picked again at #11 Demski was long gone, five picks previous. Taman did get Demski, but we weren't really scooped, we scooped ourselves by taking Chungh. And then we took Richards at #11, who played, according to CFL.CA, in 17 career games for the Bombers, without recording one catch, and with zero targets. I would guess that means that he never actually saw the field once.
