I want to say second half of 2nd game he got a decent bit of burn and was really effective. Back to back pressures one with power one with speed that really impressed.

He's regressed badly in the past couple years. Doesn't trust his arm as much as the system they've designed requires. They use almost no RPO which should be core of any system built around Ford. He's gotta be on the move and you need to help him get time to pass (not just in terms of the rush but the coverage) by putting the defense off-balance with threat of run, QB run and pass on almost every snap. He's not going to pinpoint intermediate passes into coverage for receivers, need to create space downfield for him by stopping feet with run threats. I actually thought last year when he came in that he looked a lot like he was on the way to being a competent passer. He did alright vs us and we have a very tough D on QB's. But that offense in general last year was best in the league in the last 2/3 of the season.

I thought in the second game Bailey looked good. Recall at least one play where he caused a lot of pressure leading to a sack by another Bomber player. Do I have a huge number of reference points? No but more than Weitz. Off topic but did either Shay or J.Smith get any reps on D?

From watching him and seeing he has technique...He had speed off the edge but for a rangy guy has a lot of power to move a tackle...He also contained well and came don nicely on runs....he needs play time to develop \Weitz has nothing that a kid straight outta college cant offer...and we have that already in Novack...Bailey played teams in pre-season and did just fine...has a motor that never stops D is a problem if one of...god save us both of WJ or Vaughters goes down as we then have no real ends....even if they don't we have no pure edge guy to back them up which in itself is dumb...Sure Adams can do it...but he better inside...and him inside makes life easier for our ends Weitz wasnt on roster last game...we didnt miss him one bit....sure he won't be a real noticeable guy this week either...we have a glut of ST guys as it is...not enough step in and take reps guys tho on defence Ayers didnt get reps on dline cause...well cause he is not a dline guy...nor has he ever been trained to be one...thats why. Why would Toews wanna sign with a team who has less than zero percent chance of winning? It was Winnipeg or Colorado they say. Winnipeg all along. Dude isn’t coming back for fun, he wants to win. He was never signing with a bottom feeder and that’s what Chicago will be. I’d bet it was like this… Toews agent asks JT who he wants to play for, JT says Winnipeg but if they aren’t interested I’d be open to Colorado or another good team. Jets were beyond interested. I’m pretty convinced the only way Toews wasn’t gonna be a jet is if the Jets weren’t interested

Are ppl pushing for Bailey cuz they been going to practices and he’s standing out or is it cuz hey ncaa cuz right now, Bailey and Weitz are pretty much the same. They both have done nothing. Always something. Bailey would get as many reps as Ayers got last week on the DL. A team that values sp teams takes the better sp teams player, I mean if this is based on college here cuz that’s pretty much all you have to go on. Weitz was the better teams player. Plus talking about the D when the D isn’t a problem very often if ever is just it’s interesting but insane.

Bailey could actually hold up to taking some rotational snaps (and the live reps would do him a world of good development wise). Weitz on the other hand will never see a defensive snap and if he does, something has gone HORRIBLY HORRIBLY wrong.

I could see CHI taking a flyer with near-zero talent left on that team. Would not offer more then min wage considering they already paid him 120m.
