Jackson prob can throw better than Streveler can so honestly what can an OC do when the QB is garbage. Run the ball. It’s what they did and won running the ball. I mean what exactly is Streveler strength? It’s not passing the ball more than 7 yards. ? Cuz that’s what it appears. He can run and that’s it so they ran and ran Ana ran and ran and ran and Streveler had 10 carries for 36 yds and a TD but also 1 more carry for 36 yards. So 11 for 72. 3 of 8 for 54 passing. (Good average completion but … less than 1 completed pass per quarter. Dru brown had more completions on the first drive. so what can he do? what’s this game plan that doesn’t exist for a qb who can’t pass look like. Run? Cuz that’s what they did.

But yesterday when it mattered and we needed to put Ottawa away, we did. We ran the ball and ran the ball and ran the ball but we did. The O moved the ball when they needed. yup fgs but when you have a qb who can’t throw and he completes 3 passes all game but you win, can you really complain about anything other than the qb who can’t throw. If Streveler wants he can be Damian Jackson. Convert him to FB for next season. Why not right. I mean. If he’s healthy he can still run cuz he looked good running a few times yesterday. Honestly. Convert Strev to FB. I mean 3 completed passes is basically like playing without the QB so. Why not. Wilson can hand off to Brady and Strev. If I’m O’Shea I consider this next week if Zach isnt healthy. Maybe Wilson can throw 10 times tho. But start Wilson and roster Strev as the FB and have Wilson hand the ball off 30 times to Brady Strev Peterson etc. Demski.

Ironically 2019 was the last time Streveler was relevant

Our defence was good yesterday, and so were our special teams. Anyone complaining about roster management this week has lost the plot. It is a miniscule problem compared to others in the big picture of this season. Unless you want to count continuing to start Streveler as roster management, then fire away on that one.

no games over 250 since 19 either. And none of his games or 250 or more have even the same number of tds as ints. Since the end of 18, he’s had 2 games with more tds than picks. he was talking about strev though yeah? Maybe that’s what he was confusing. i mean that is 4 years ago and a hell of a lot has happened in that time lol.

I don't understand what people are seeing in Strev as a QB around here either? He is never going to be a quality starter in this league and is barely an acceptable back up. Collaros was a 1000x better than Streveler, however, the offensive system sucks too.

yes, but that’s not nearly 11 completion or attempts. divisional all star is not close to the same as perennial mop, and 1/3 of a season does not an mop or all star make. 2/3 of a year is not the start to a year. Let’s look further at his season last week 11. 3 games under 202 yards. 4 games with as many or more picks than tds 2 games over 250 yards passing 6 tds in 7 games then 1 game with 6 tds and 430 yards passing. The second half of last year is massively padded by the 1 game against edmonton. Take that out and in the final stretch of the year he had 1900 yards 7 TDS 6 ints. 3 good games, 3 ok games, 11 bad games. Unfortunately, Zach isn’t a game manager. If he could be a strong game manager getting the ball out quickly that would help off set issues a lot. but he just isn’t that guy.

He sucks. He wasn't throwing because he is an interception machine. His own coaches don't trust him to throw the ball and with good reason. They have their work cut out for them because KW hasn't shown up since 2021. There is absolutely no way Wilson could have done worse.

Walters needs to wake up from his 3 year nap. Sorry, if that offends anyone but KW has done an outright lousy job lately.

Brady churning out a 100 yards under those circumstances is noteworthy. Guy is a gem.

How do you win a game in the CFL without a QB? Well, I watched one unfold yesterday. Take the W but that offense was an embarrassment. On to the next one with, hopefully, Collaros at the helm. With a little less than six minutes to go in the 3rd, the Bombers were 3rd and 5 from about the Ottawa 49. They lined up to punt in a different formation than usual. There were two guys back with Sheahan and when he punted the ball, they were behind him, onside I believe. It was a shorter, sky-high punt and those two guys were headed towards where the ball was to land. The Ottawa returner mishandled the ball but retained possession after a bit of a scramble. I was pleasantly surprised that the Bombers attempted a bit of "trickery". Question: Did those onside players have to give the returner 5 yards or, if lucky, could one of them have caught/recovered the ball for a Bomber 1st down?

Late to the fray here, but, I’ve been watching this team for over 50 years and I can’t recall a more ugly win than that. QB play, O and D lines have been hurting the team badly all year. Whoever is running this team next year has their work cut out for them.

They didn't leave a lasting impression like Strev did in 2019. Once oshea finds his guys they can do no wrong.

Hamilton would have lost to us last week if not for 2 gimme interceptions and they should have lost tonight. If Zach back I think we win this week. PS. I’d still take Fajardo over Streveler.

Wilson could hand off the ball and not throw also. Streveler had 8. 8. 8 pass attempts in the CFL. That’s pathetic. We didn’t win cuz of 3 completed passes out of 8. We didn’t win cuz Streveler ran for 70 yards which is more than he passed for. We won cuz Vaval and Allen. Any one of us could have completed 3 passes. I mean collaros had more passing yards last full game he played than we had total O. Dru Brown threw for 350 more yards than Streveler. funny thing is. No team is really that great tho. A couple moves by Kyle (DL and OL ideally) and a healthy Zach and we got a shot in the playoffs I think. Cuz at this point we making it.

One more thing, if Crumb comes into that game we lose 😳.

lol. Lose the game? So i guess you didn’t read my post. CS was struggling. The qb is the leader of the offense. We can’t replace the oline and receivers and oc during the game. Put TW in to allow CS to reset a bit. If TW falters (yes maybe he sucks) put CS back into the game. To suggest that no matter who we put in doesn’t matter because of our oline and receiving core is over the top. CS at times had time to throw. What were his stats today against a very bad Ottawa team?

Killam used to be this happy go lucky young & hip looking STC with the Stamps. Always with a smile on his face. Now, he looks like a serial killer.

Fun stat.... Streveler in his career with the Blue has only 2 games with more then 250 yards. Jake Dolegala in one season with the riders had 5 games with more then 250 yards , the next season Shea Patterson with the Riders had 4 games himself with over 250 yards. We cut two of those guys and kept the wrong one.

The level of crap you say that we see from Collaros is nowhere near the level of crap that we see from Streveler (shown here).

Yes because Strev and his 3 completions was such a major factor in why they won tonight. Wilson is healthier and at this point a much better runner then Strev. So nothing to lose and everything to gain. Not a single highlight of Strev making a completion.... just highlights of him holding onto the ball getting sacked, running up the gut, throwing a death pass , and a singular good running play. Insanity that they didn't give Wilson at least 2 series to see if he could do anything at all. Veteran qb with proven track records get pulled for playing much better then what Strev did... I'm 100% ready for them to clean house with the O and get rid of O'Shea. I'm ok with Younger and keeping Walters to see if O'Shea was the issue.

After today, I'll never complain about Zach again. I appreciate him now like I never have before.

I think he just misremembered the stat line.
