  1. Past hour
  2. Are people already in next year country? WTF? Dark days. Dark days indeed. I don't care who you put under center behind this O-line and OC- you are not getting to the dance. A change at OC and something that ******* works to solidify that porous O-line is sorely needed.

  4. Amazing what losing does to a fan bases common sense. "We are losing this is awful but I would significantly downgrade our starting QB to save money that we can't really spend right now because there is nothing worth it." Geez Louise. People here expecting high level QBing on the cheap and it just doesn't happen all that often. If we had a Dru Brown knocking on the door behind Collaros again, then it might be a valid idea but we don't and it becomes an over reach.
  5. We're navel gazing on the 35th roster spot when spots 1-30 are getting killed every week aside from our kickers and a couple DB's.
  6. And Jake Kelly has been great for the Calgary Stampeders too. The problem with our team is we're getting nothing from our American players....due to lack of talent/ability or lack of opportunity to be on the field.
  7. Like I said. you guys are not wrong to be pining for Mayala....BUT has it really come to that? Like so many positions on our team, Walters had really done a poor job restocking the shelves. That damn O'Shea telling him not to acquire talent all the time.
  8. Ok, the whole not giving national rookies time. None of us are saying start them, we're saying give them reps. There is a difference. As for letting them ripen, Fortin and Alford have been starting for Calgary and playing well. Veresuk is in the same boat for Hamilton. There is also Keelen White who is starting for Ottawa. I think its fair to say the argument that you need to shelter rookies is not true.
  9. Him and Jarious Jackson have only been efficient passer/play caller together. Otherwise they've both been awful in those roles in this league. Only a portion of that contract is guaranteed and the likelihood of scooping anyone better than Collaros is almost nil.
  10. MBT has been fairly awful this year and has been pulled for Evans in each of the last two weeks but honestly I'd be tempted to do this too, just to get out of the likely 600k we'll owe Zach next year.
  11. If you like sacks and 2 yard passes. Take Cooley's YAC yards off the board and Wilson did nearly nothing against team losses when he's on the field (aka him getting sacked by holding the ball for an eternity).
  12. In this week’s Winnipeg Sports Talk Bombers Report, Connor Hrabchak and I talk offensive ineptitude, deficiencies in the secondary, and if it’s time to hit the panic button or if there’s reason for optimism in Bomberland. Also available on all your podcast apps.
  13. I'm just saying I'd trade Zach for MBT in a heart beat. Not because I have "faith" in MBT.... mostly because we get a durable QB and we get rid of that albatross of a contract. Next year start fresh with a lot more money. If MBT can perform I can't imagine signing him for another year would be $600 000.....
  14. Mayala is likely better depth than Cobb or Corcoran.
  15. Game 1 - Artopoeus was 5/6 for 43 yards playing against 4th stringers compared to Wilson 6/8 for 72 yards against 2nd stringers. Game 2 - Artopoeus was 1/3 for 11 yards playing against 4th stringers compared to WIlson 9/12 for 58 yards against 3rd stringers. How in the world do you intrepret that as "way out performed" when statistically he was worse and playing against the worst players? And for progress Wilson had a better pre season this year compared to last year.
  16. You could say our recent WR drafting record has us...Jaded?
  17. Fact is, our Ni wr depth has been that bad for a long time. Corcoran has some limited use potential, woli was breaking down by the time big kev stepped up, and demski is always a struggle to stay healthy. A few years back, we invested a lot in the draft at WR, we didn't do much with those guys and ended up not really putting in that investment again. We've done a good job of re stocking NI depth at DB/Lber, but we need to get back in on DL/DE, WR and OL is always a restock position.
  18. Actual doctors and scientists can and have been wrong more times then not. With profits being a priority over actual health it's very hard to give 100% trust to any "experts" these days.
  19. A cornerback and apparently smart. God knows that sad sack lot played like they need a heart transplant last Saturday.
  20. Today
  21. I dont know...Canadian receiver who has put up two 500+ yard seasons with 5 td's...one in only 12 games....Not sure he wouldn't offer more than Corcoran...Cobb...and be nice depth...also a guy who has had made big explosion plays Don't really see Cobb or Corcoran ever being that kind of guy...if you not trying to get better and find guys...what the hell are we doing?
  22. They should be given reps to see if they have a legit future chance....or can actually perform now...and what a boon it would be to have an entry level $$ starter, a Canadian to boot for 2..3 yrs and allow you to allocate more cash to area's of severe need. Any player who can show they can play over a less than stellar player is a valid point and something they should be exploring at every turn...sitting idly and content with past succes has us exactly in the spot we are at now If either one them...or both can show they can play say WIL right now.....would it be not the smart thing to have em play....get better as they play because they will and use that now free'd up DA spot...even 2 if you drop both Ayers and Wilson and use them for a legit DT/Nose who would make a difference....another stud receiver?...everyone said Shay was second coming of Singleton...If Cgy handled him like we do our guys....he would have never amounted to anything....they recognized the upside and talent...played him from day 1 pretty much I wouldnt say way out performed....The other guy did ok...but against and with guys nobody will ever see or hear from again
  23. Always a silly take. We know. He's played a ton in two preseasons. No progress Year 1 to Year 2. Way outperformed by a rookie pro this year in preseason games. Only thing I don't know is why they kept him instead of someone who can at least function at this level like Dolegala. Wilson has near zero upside as a passer. Not even a good NCAA QB, slow processing in pocket, hesitant to throw the ball more than 5-6 yards downfield. Let's put him out there to make sure we get murdered so we KNOW!
  24. Psst...they be the SSK Roughriders....end of story. I am sure that this will get the eye roll emoji that you are so famous for. Have at it.
  25. How long do you give him to adapt though? Dickenson started out losing 2 straight grey cups, won 1, then then didn't make it to the conference finals for 4 straight years before bottoming out and missing the playoffs last year. That is ALOT of rope.
  26. I have no issue with NAT rookies not being tried at positions. They are on 3 years deals and we have ample time to let them ripen on the vine so that we don't put them in a situation where we shatter their confidence. That's what any smart team endeavors to do. I get that IMPs are a different story because there is no real team control for the same length of time so they got to show up quicker in the lineup to survive. However, grousing that Shay or Smith are not in the lineup and getting meaningful reps in the first half of season one is not a valid point imo.
