I'll agree that his decision making process has to speed up. From just watching that play unfold I have to believe Demski was the primary receiver (who was bracketed) or Sterns running to the corner. Strev needs to come off that read quicker. If he fires the ball to the pilon while he's in the pocket, it's likely a reception and a TD. He was run down (and ear holed) by a linebacker (not a DL) but if Strev was truly confident in that knee of his, he probably would have planted a foot in the ground and turned it upfield once he broke contain and picked up a few yards making it all moot. Strev didn't 'lose like 15 yards' either - really irrelevant addition. Receiver was more concerned with making a TD grab vs securing a reception. Come back and down. Be aware. The INT doesn't happen. It still doesn't discount the fact the DB simply made a really good play. At the end of the day, you're right, they have to execute .. whether it's running the ball or making those decisions / throws quicker.
-
Back in the day third string QB usually meant in the wings to be moved up the ranks not short yardage specialist and no more. If this is true Terry Wilson needs to be released. We have Strev for short yardage so there’s absolutely no reason to keep him around if there is no confidence in him to play in this league.

They sure Vaval's was neck and not brain? -
Yeah run the ball...but ultimately have to execute. Streveler scrambles and loses like 15 yards to a DL in about 2.5 seconds. Guy has to understand his own limitations sooner than later. He throws the ball to the pilon from 7 ish yards into the field while his hips are parallel to the sideline. Complete arm toss so basically no velocity on that ball. Every single decision he makes from the time he takes the snap is bad and leads to the result. If he's going to be a decent QB this season he's going to have to get comfy in the pocket and move the ball out quickly. Because I'm not sure he could beat Wade Miller in a 3 cone drill right now.

I think this may be the first time I've ever picked against the Blue for the pick'ems.... I don't think we've seen rock bottom just yet.

I just wished they would give Wilson some game time when the game was already out of hand. He's the only healthy QB we have who does have some zip on his throws. It would be nice to see what we have in him. -
The throw was fine but Strev left it a little inside (understandable throwing on the run across his body) which allowed the DB to make a great play on the ball. Had Strev missed outside or the receiver stepped down / in that INT doesn't happen. Greene just made a GREAT play on the ball. Strev gets the blame because he threw the ball but situationally (backup QB, down and distance, location on the field etc) Hogan *has* to share in some of this as does the receiver who has be aware of what's going on around him. It could all have been avoided by just running the ball .. giving it to Brady .. letting Strev roll with it .. hammering a Calgary defense who ranks in the bottom third of run defense.

First rock concert I ever attended when I was quite young was Ozzy Osbourne. My older brother won tickets thru a radio station and he took me for some reason. 6th row centre. There I was not knowing what was really going on just mesmerized doing alot of people watching in a very loud environment smelling of skunk when all of a sudden the drummer decided to throw one of his drum sticks into the crowd that came directly at me. It all seemed like slow motion as a watched this drum stick arc directly towards me then finding myself on the bottom of a pile of people wanting this drum stick more than me (narrators voice: he didn’t want the stick). I remember my ears ringing loudly for days/weeks after the concert. Good times, RIP Double O.

Perhaps an ass wooping by arbuckle and the Argos will change things then. I almost call this my lock of the week. Bombers will lose. Argos just have our number especially if we trotting out the same crap as the last 2 weeks.

I would like to see some of these changes as well... was hoping to have a reasonable discussion about it... I like all your proposed changes but I'd like Allen at S and move Parker to corner... either way, I'd like to see Bridges out... also Griffin for Kramdi can't be necessarily a one for one... would have to have a Canadian DL or LB out there every rep... I also don't think Kramdi is a major problem area... For sake of discussion... When Kelly and Makonzo are healthy, I'd like to see them at 1 and 2 on the S depth and run an all-import DL... Parker could go to corner... could even sub in Shay (who is supposedly pro ready) for some reps on D... And for the love of god, let's just get our offseason additions in the lineup... K Wilson and T Jones have been average to above average... J Jones cannot possibly be a downgrade... Even if Logan and Vaval are both healthy, then we need to try Logan in the role he was brought here for... and let's just get Mitchell in the game... if he seriously is too clueless to play after months of being here, just release him already...

I dunno. Streveler looked good week 1 but every other appearance he’s looked like garbage. I’m not sure what’s up there but that throw and decision is on him. Dude put up 2 fgs in 2 plus quarters. I dunno. Can’t really throw it appears atleast when coming in for injury reasons or crappy Zach play. Seems like he needs the 1 reps to be a good QB. Otherwise he’s not good at all. -
That’s a career ender at his age.

We are in 106 across from the Argo bench, I noticed some seats opened up behind the Bomber bench but I haven't been able to get them to call me back about switching. Let me tell you, their box office people are no where close to what Carol and Bailey of the Bombers are. This guy I have been dealing with would barely be qualified to be the gum on the sole of their shoes. The reek of MLSE Toronto centre of the universe arrogance is strong... TTC to Union Station and walk or take the street car to the stadium. I booked us a real nice place right downtown for that night so we could walk and then we are off exploring other glories of Southern Ontario.

RIP to the true legend ozzy. Man oh man I remember seeing a video recently of him at the reunion and his grand daughter is watching and is excited screaming pa pa pa pa. Pa pa pa. It showed a human side to a man who is famous for biting a head off a bat really. He probably should have died 20 times but still sad but not unexpected as he hasn’t been doing well. Glad he could have 1 final show. They must have known he didn’t have lots of time left.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
wbbfan replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's a gamble for sure. I think the biggest thing in favor of him ending up here this year is that the Lions have a medium-term injury to their starting RT, and because of that, picked up 2 guys who are firmly 1/2. Better recovery than expected could mean he gets pushed out. The NFL also expects athletic and physical outliers. If a guy doesn't crack playing quickly enough in his career, he ends up surrounded by other outliers who are younger. Based on his play in PS and the bit I saw in OTAs, he deserves to be playing on an AR in the NFL. You also don't get nearly as much from a 2nd year on a PR as you do from a first. Linemen especially hit a point of diminishing returns quickly on PRs. A minor hitch in his health probably ends up with him being replaced. That said, with the size of NFL PRs, and importance of Ts, he could well get a look else where. -

Drive or rideshare. Otherwise you basically have to go to Union Station by TTC to connect to Harbourfront street car which is kind of a haul. Worked out well for Reggie White.
