I was thinking the same thing.  I can only imagine all of the mis-spellings of Puja-alphabet if we pick him instead of Laine.  Assuming that TO picks Auston Matthews.  I still wouldn't rule out an offer from Arizona to get Matthews.  It would have to be pretty huge.

Kale Clague with Brandon would be nice at 22 or 36. He's LHD. Should be a couple decent LHD at 22 and 36

This years draft could be the best ever so far for Jets 2.0

So. 

Last game of the year.  Jets down 3 0. Lose and we get Calgary spot in the draft. They come back. Tie. Scheif wins in a shootout. We lose and we ain't picking 2nd.

TO definitely takes Matthews which leaves us Laine....wow!

I'd love to see Chevy move up from 22nd and take Chychrun, Juolevi or Sergachev around 9th or 10th.

I don't think 22 plus Burmi or stafford gets you top 10

I'd consider moving myers to edmonton for pick 4 tho if they would go for it. They want rhd. Myers for 4th and we take Chychrun Sergachev Juolevi there works.  Myers plus 22 for 4th.

They'd be looking more for a Petan or Lowry and I don't think Chevy would be willing to do that.

I'd consider petan or Lowry.  Fact is both are probably bottom 6 easily replaceable players. I'd consider it 

Myers, a proven NHL d-man and a Calder Cup winner, plus a first round draft pick, just to get an unproven commodity.  Sorry, but that's just dumb.  Move expendable parts, not a top D-man, if you want to move up. 

I think it's too early to give up on either player but you never know.
