Bombers need to find a Manny duplicate or a Nik Lewis clone who can cause havoc in the D backfield.

A Cory Watson/Chris Matthews hybrid would be nice. Big receivers who could block.

Big receiver who's fast, can catch everything, block, and work for .70 on the dollar ... should be easy enough for Walters to find

Washington is a midget with speed ...

Washington closes in fast, the fact he got stiff armed by someone like Arse-in-hole should not be a measuring stick of his abilities.

What? Washington has been one our best defenders, plus one our best kick returners, what games have you been watching?

 

you might be over valuing him here... good player? Sure... but if I had to list our best defenders he would be behind (in no particular order) Westerman, Bass, Wild, Leggett, Adams, Randle, and Johnson...

Washington is perhaps one of our most athletic players who performs well when the team is playing as a unit. But, of course, you can say that of almost any player. He's got great closing speed and many times has tackled a ball carrier short of the 1st down marker. Along with his return capabilities, he's a good guy to have around.

I actually would like to see Washington moved to the field side CB (Bucknor). His speed will be useful there.

 

Randle-Adams-Leggett-Johnson-Washington... assuming we get a new guy to play SAM.

Am I crazy or did Washington not get the tougher matchups? Why are you all thinking Johnson is better than him? Mark my words if the Bombers move on from Washington people are going to be bitching about letting a talent like that go.

I think you're under valuing him. He made a lot plays and a lot he shouldn't have had to.

Washington is ok but ok isn't good enough. He's the one dB along with Bucknor who I'd replace for sure. Ok but not good. Average really. He's an average player who I'm not sure would get picked up by another team when we don't sign him.

He'd be picked up pretty fast. Versatile, quick, returns punts very well, solid defender...yup he wouldn't be on the market long.

We will see cuz I don't think he will be back here. I think you are over rating him a bit too. Returns punts? And fumbles them. Good tackler? Sure but that just means he's getting beat lots
