Something to help the discussion. Bond movies ranked according to Rotten Tomatoes score.

SKYFALL!?!?!  LOL...the only good part about that movie was the last 5 minutes when he walks into the "old" M's office with Moneypenny there.  I do, however, love Fiennes as M though.  Great casting there.

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a "Bond" fan per se. I like movies though. I haven't seen much of the old Bond films and what I hve seen I feel like they don't hold up.

I'm a fan of Pierce Brosnan and loved him as Bond, a role he was born to play (and would have earlier if not for Remington Steel).

I like Craig though I find he's less deep. But anyway, saw Spectre. Thought it was shallow and lame. Not terrible. Just not overly interesting. I was somewhat bored.

When bond finally fought Batista it felt like the first action of the film. These movies seem repetitive. Spectre seemed to lack heart. It was almost as if it was someone's version of a Bond film and not the authentic thing.

Skyfall was rated that high?   I thought Casino Royale was better then it....

James Bond movies need to get more about the over the top action and less about the long boring periods of "grit" ....    I'd almost take the Roger Moore campyness over any of the movies from Die another Day and on.....

Skyfall was almost nominated for an Oscar.

I'm gonna dig up Goldfinger because of this RT list and check it out. Don't think I've ever seen it.

That's like a YouTube moment. First time watching Goldfinger.

Won't ever forget this scene:

Bond, strapped on a gold-bar table, with a laser beam ready to slice him open

Bond - "Do you expect me to talk?"

Goldfinger - "No, Mr Bond, I expect you to die."

Goldfinger was awesome.  Sometimes it's a bit hard to watch the old movies now, because of how much better the action sequences and filming are nowadays, but they're still cherished in my heart.  I'll always remember my dad letting me stay up and watching them with him.  He loved Bond.  Not the new stuff, but he loves the old Bond movies still.

I like Moonraker and Goldeneye.

I actually played the N64 goldeneye a million times over when it first came out before i actually watched the movie. talk about spoiler alert

Goldeneye video game is one of the best games of All Time.  We were just talking about this recently and one of our friends still has it and the system and it works...we're planning a Goldeneye party one of these days.  Amazing game.

I think if I watched goldeneye again I might get the craving to go out and find a N64 at a pawn shop just to play again, thats one game i got addicted to playing multiplayer with my friends then got right into the solo aspect, Black ops and its zombie multiplayer side game was like that for me too.

that said, With Black Ops 3 coming out or just released (not sure) and the barrage of video game to movies being released, I wonder if they ever go big screen with Black Ops

Id think assassins creed might eventually - and ive never even played the game, just based on its previews looks like it has all the making for a movie.

I'd also be in favor of a God Of War movie

Activision Blizzard Studios, a new film and television studio which will create original content based on the firm's iconic intellectual property, has been launched.

Former Disney executive Nick van Dyk will co-head the division along with a senior creative executive who will be announced soon.

The studio's first production will be Skylanders Academy, an animated TV series based on the Skylanders game series featuring the voices of Justin Long as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks as Eruptor and Norm Macdonald as Glumshanks.

Activision also has a "near-term initiative" to create a "robust cinematic universe based on the Call of Duty franchise". In addition to a series of Call of Duty feature films, Activision Blizzard Studios believes there is a possibility of television adaptations.

"Activision Blizzard is home to some of the most successful entertainment franchises in history, across any medium. With the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, our engaged fans can now watch the games they love come to life across film and television," said Bobby Kotick, chief executive officer of Activision Blizzard. "Activision Blizzard Studios is yet another way we're celebrating our players and fans, and we expect that our film and television productions will entertain and delight whole new audiences, as well. I'm excited that Nick and his team will be leading this important new growth opportunity for Activision Blizzard."

Kotick added: "We intend to approach film and television development with the same unwavering commitment to excellence we are known for in game development."
