I just heard Burke on the coach's show and tried to write word for word what was said, this while I was posting in the "Burke wanted Glenn thread.

yeah but Burke hasn't ever sounded down. He's always seemed to try and find positives. The problem is that he has shown absolutely no ability to turn things around. Many of his games last season were a disaster, the start to this season has been a disaster. He's said and done some painfully bad things. Some guys are good coordinators but don't have what it takes to be the head guy, Burke appears to be one of these. It's been one mistake after the other with that guy. At best he is just absolutely not ready to be a head coach.

Who called Marcel is only important in the sense it's another example of mixed messages and contradictions which itself is another example of the dysfunction going on here.

I'm telling ya, let's fire Burke now and let Bellefool run the ship for the last couple months just to complete the mess they've put themselves into. Season is a write off already because Burke and Crowton know they're dead men walking, the players are now confused by the **** moves being made, they'll give up in short order if they haven't already. Season is already flushed down the crapper might as well clear out all of the people who will be gone right now and make sure we hire better people this offseason. 

 

And let Creehan run the defence on his own........you plug one hole in the dyke and another one opens. Burke's value is to the defence not as a HC.

How so?   Marcel clearly said he was called up 48 hours ago, so clearly it was Miller.     I see no contradictions here what so ever.

Tim Burke has been a huge disappointment to me. Great DC & I thought he'd make a difference. I was wrong. Maybe with another team that offers stability & support from management he could do well, but not with this club. I think he's a good man caught in a bad situation & clearly in over his head.  And he has to brush up on his Media101 classes to stop saying the wrong things at the wrong time. I believe this club is going to be blown up coaching & player wise this off season. Mangement already has but they can't do much more as we are in season. Lots of changes will be coming between November & June.

well of course it would be miller who called him, he signs the cheques right now. The likely situation was they were talking about the possibility of bringing Bellefool in and only just made the move now. 

You see? You see what happens when you fire the GM midseason? You throw the entire rest of the year and next year into the toilet completely. All for the price of millions of dollars in salaries for people to not work for you and empty seats in the stadium.

So it looks to me like he took a crap team and made contenders out of them in short order, exactly what we need right now! I have seen his teams and they weren't that bad, especially on offense. He certainly knows the CFL game much better than Crowton. What makes you think he's an idiot?
