Now that the beer and fresh frustration is out of my system...Does anyone else feel like perhaps Condell was doing an FU to Brady to start the game...like you want identity you want the ball fine have it...is that perhaps why he didn't build off that start, and develop it any further...it almost seemed like the run game was going great and setting up PA and the next steps, but we stuck with predicable runs, till it didn't work, then never built off it, just went to a non cohesive totally different game plan once it starting getting stuffed....I don't know...but heck even when I was calling plays for a highschool offence I had more continuity and flow...it just seemed like the play calling started out so good to set up on...but the next step never came....

I really don't want to believe that's what happened. But it's hard to imagine what the game plan was considering how things played out. Like I wrote earlier, I've never seen an OC use the run to set up absolutely nothing. Still running the ball well in the 2nd Q, get to mid field and it's 2nd and 5....just a fantastic time to have back field motion, RPO/PA whatever... something to make the DL think....and condell empties the back field pre snap, BC was showing blitz and Drew never had a chance.

If that game wasn't a "see I'm smarter than you!" from Condell than he must have zero feel for football games....and I'm not sure which is worse, but both lead to the same result imo...he can come help me coach a peewee team because that's where he belongs.

I picked a hell of a time to get tickets to more games than I have since 2007. Ha ha. I was at the Edmonton game, both Calgary games, last night, the 14th vs Ottawa and Banjo Bowl... So far. Yikes...

I'll never boo... And most of the time I'll stick it out til the end. But it's definitely getting tough.

The one thing I have faith in is Wade and his need to make sure he leaves things better than he found it. Once the crowds start thinning out, he'll kick down a door if he has to and shake things up.

The burning question for me is why he has not seen the same crap most here have and why, if he has seen it, did he extend Walters and O'Shea?

The problem with your question is assuming that what people here see is correct.... Only the people in the building know what's really going on.

Exactly. @Tracker its possible you Booch and others are talking out your ass. The fact you think you are correct prob means you are.

Is O’Shea a problem? Probably. But he’s not the only one.

It’s really easy to say fire O’Shea but logically with a coaches cap, it’s not gonna happen. The go to online thing in sports is always fire the coach cuz eventually all coaches get fired and then the experts online who always blame the coach can say I was right when every coach will be fired one day.

Problems here go far beyond O’Shea. Our D quit on younger twice now.

O’Shea is probably problem 3 or 4 of 5 right now.

Edited by Goalie

younger Condell McManus Kyle Osh

In that order probably

Kyle and Osh are 4 and 5 cuz of coaches and management caps. They ain’t eating 2.5 years for both.

Essentially the cap prevents us from prob making the 2 probably biggest issues go away. The first 3 you can fix today.

Maybe off season if the attendance dwindles you eat 2 years but not right now. Osh and Kyle will be here until the end of 26 season. 27 and beyond? At this point I’d say probably but 6 and 12 might mean Wade eats those contracts then.

Anything that's a coordinator problem ultimately is an O'Shea problem. He is the head coach, the team and it's coaches on game day ultimately reflect on him.

He just signed 3 years. They ain’t eating that contract yet. You can get rid of the coordinators today without really costing you for almost 3 full seasons of pay.

Losing doesn’t bother me as long as I’m entertained. I’m not entertained this season at home games. 0 for home games this year and D giving up 2 games in a row means the easiest change is younger. Ppl need to accept Osh and Kyle have 3 year deals, it’s year 1 of that deal, they won’t get rid of them even if they should. They won’t and really can’t almost. Make them quit??? Only way. You can change players and coordinators tho

Trade any vet with any value.

Willie. Ceresna maybe. Holm. Nichols maybe someone’s a sucker there. Big Stan. Whoever. Jones. Kyrie.

Moxey can be cut.

Start the rebuild now.

Get an OC who actually man, the one pass Dru threw over 10 yards was a beauty pass to white in the end zone.

Condell is giving me Gary crowton flashbacks but with less actual deep balls 3 Merican oline and our QBs getting killed every game

Brown to white. I was like Michael Jackson right there.

I didn’t think he was 2 happy with the 388 rushing yards. Maybe I saw a different post game. Should be up on YouTube.

He’s talking about at the end the D being tired cus they were on the field all game again.

We do seem to like older receivers. Probably 50% of them haven't work out. We like to pay for past performances on our roster & not for future ones. Receivers like Mack, Gittens, Aberhardt & other younger players were available. Tim White is doing okay, I have no complaints about him other than he's 32 but it would be nice if we could sign some players in their mid to late 20's.

MOS or Walters fired? Maybe in the off-season, but we still have a lot of this year left.

Wholesale changes? In mid-season? The best players already have jobs. We should bring in NFL cuts and give them playing time for next year, though.

What we need to do is send a message to the players that we will make the changes needed to make the team better no matter what. I'd cut big Stan based on his play this year. That would send shock waves through the players. Play better or choose a window or an aisle seat.

The DC and OC need to simplify everything. One of the reasons we are constantly out of position and tentative is that the players have too much to process. Dru's best game was when he hadn't been here long and the playbook was small. Younger doesn't need to reinvent defense; he needs to put players in the right places to succeed. He also needs to dedicate a complete practice to tackling and wrapping people up.

I don't know if anything would cause the players to give up on management more than disgracing an all-time great like Stanley Bryant. They could "injure" him or make him a backup (though being an American makes that unlikely). Releasing him outright mid-season is not how to treat a storied vet.

Here's his exact words on the first comment.

"those big runs, especially near the end, we're just not where we're supposed to be and a combination, I imagine, of guys being tired near the end and also trying too hard, which is a bad combination"

2nd comment was more of a general statement. Towards the ends they talk about what's next and he says the players need to take care of their bodies/minds, come back from the bye ready to fix the mistakes and be firing on all cylinders. Very little accountability.

You could use Stan as your Designated American or whatever and have him split reps with a Wallace or cdn of some kind.

Cdn receiver in for Stan. Or whatever. Pretty easy solution to allow Stan to continue playing but just not every snap.

But last night they honoured a legend. Coach Cal.

What would he do? He’d cut Bryant. And bombers should also. Business not personal. Players should understand if you ain’t up to snuff, you ain’t gonna play here. Stan and Kyrie and maybe Nichols are the vets you let go to send a message that being poor on the field isn’t acceptable

Biggest fear. Stan is back next year.

Edited by Goalie

Let Moxey go also cuz again… below average vet playing field corner is unacceptable. Just not as much shock or ripples sent through the line up with just Moxey tho. Stan. Kyrie. Nichols are the vet leaders prob along with Neufeld.

Neufeld gives me steinbach vibes and I don’t dislike steinbach so the other 3 tho… snip snip Cut.

Edited by Goalie

I think the best we can hope for is Bryant going on the 6 game. There's likely a better chance of MOS getting fired than MOS cutting Bryant at this point. It's just not going happen. IF they replace him on the roster, he'll still be on the team whether that's the reserve or the IR.

I also agree that the Trinity will be together for at least another 18 months. No chance they get any of them out the door this season.

Best remedy to that is challenging the ball, get the ball back.

Instead our D scheme is more like, here's a free 7 yards, make it 15, 20 or 50 if we miss a couple tackles.

Yeah many people just dont..or can't grasp how a football organization works..especially yhe game day aspect.

End of day..the results are reflection of the hc..good and bad..ive praise osh when he was in the realm of good...I not gonna heap praise or offer excuses where not warranted...

They can eat it if its a benefit to the team..and we have cash..just buy him out..regardless if we cut him lose and he lands elsewhere.. and seeing as u and some others think hes down the list of at fault then surely someone will hire him..and he off our books...one salary being paid for a canned hc coach won't kill us..and a coordinator likely isnt on more than a 2 yr deal anyway..I still think..as do others that using different personelle...the right personelle in some of our coverages would do wonders too

Do we know Vibert or Eli wouldn't be better at center after a few games to settle in?...Is Stan the best LT option...Korn has zero business on an active roster...would not one of Jackson ..Texada..Allen be better in secondary than....well take your pick

Would Oyelola maybe offer more than a bottom of roster Canadian...2+ yrs in the NFL tells me most likely

Would Peterson offer more on roster than Daniels..Especially when MCI...Clercius ..even Eli can do that job?

Cycle thru these guys...give them their shot and if not better, or even marginally better yup.....be bringing guys in week after week

We dont know if they are better or not...we basically have to trust ion Osh as he is picking the roster...I have my doubts\

All I know from experience is that more times than not if you give a young...hungry guy who's been chomping at the bit a real chance...They get er done and become a fixture

Hall is fine now...and already here...so its a pretty easy transition for at minimum this yr as he knows the team...and has ultra respect

All is know from experience is that 90% of the time we give one of these "young and hungry" players their chance, over the past several years, they have turned out to be duds.

Look, I get everyone here has their pitch forks out for the coaches and deservedly so but pretending the talent is sitting here is just ignoring another of our biggest problems. Our coaches suck and so do the players on our roster. There is a very good argument to start guys like Smith or Texada. That argument should not include us winning more because of them, at least not this season.
