Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

Peterson is ok, I really like that Jaworski is back and would rather give him a chance first.

Him swapped in for Fletcher with Reese....WJ...Gatkouth, Lawson...Ceresna would give us a nice rotation for our top 6...And I guess Schmeck for limited reps/gaoline type stuff and Jumbo/goaline stuff for the offence....But we still need a true nose/dt type. Dixon showed promise as well as a multi position guy but when healthy does he battle for a spot with Jaworski?

The link provided even states that booze does not cause this condition. Alcohol may aggravate an existing case but so can other things like caffeine or spicy food. Genetics seems to be more of a factor so if SpeedFlex has had multiple family members with this condition that may be why.

"Alcoholic Nose:" Is Alcohol Really the Cause?

Maybe.. Jaworski, last year, looked like a guy that could play inside or outside on the line but apparently lost weight after his accident. Not sure how big he is now. He may be right back to where he was, and if he is, then i would suspect that he will battle it out with Dixon. Probably, one of our only REAL depth battles we have going on.

Ottawa Redblacks release starters Amari Henderson, Demeri...

The Ottawa Redblacks have released American defensive backs Amari Henderson and Demerio Houston, the team announced on Monday. Henderson started the team’s last six games at field-side halfback, recor

Turnover continuing in Ottawa with Henderson and Houston getting released. Maybe these changes will fix their defense.

Jaworksi should get the first shot. Its important to have the next guy up in, and with our struggles vs the run Peterson gives us a guy who we can plug in and will play at a much higher level vs the run and the pass then we are used to.

Boy he is just going full reinbold over in ottawa. The secondary hasn't been good, and no one there should be safe. But they just canned the DC, no pro team is playing that bad on talent alone. Not by a mile.

I worked in the field for a couple of decades, and while it is not true for all who abuse alcohol, it is for some. Alcohol is not only a depressant, it is also a diuretic and and anticoagulant (hence the red nose) . Oncologists will not begin chemo or radiation until the patient is provably abstinent for a minimum of 90 days. Surgeons who operate on those in the problems expect all kinds of problems- resistance to anesthesia, and analgesia and hemorrhaging that is difficult to stop.

No myth.

I owned several bars throughout the years, and a big red nosed customer only ever meant two things, they were alkies or cokeheads.

and I bounced for yrs....and the regulars...and the known ones with alcohol and dependency issues, especially the ones who have been at it a while pretty much 90% of them had that look as well...

My entire complexion is reddish all summer - runs in the family. I do love a good scotch, but it ain't what blushes me.

Yep....my bouncers were instructed to look for the Rudolph's and watch them closely for either over service, or drug taking/selling.

At the end of the season, Jake Maier is going to doing this in Ottawa:

If it was his entire complexion then no one would worry, some can handle the sun better than others. However, when it's just your shnoz that tends to not be the sun.

If Ryan Dinwiddie was walking into my bar while I was leaving and I didn't know him, I would turn around and tell my bouncers discreetly to watch him closely. Just saying.

although thats funny and made me lauh...totally hear ya! Hopefully he isnt dealing with major issues...but since yr 2 in T.O he has morphed big time so something is up

His real erratic actions now too seem a bit concerning....

No myth.

It's a myth, medically proven. That being said both can be true where Dinwiddie is a drunk and also has rosacea.

While alcohol is not the root cause of rhinophyma, it can act as a major trigger that worsens the appearance.

  • Vasodilation: Drinking alcohol causes the blood vessels in the face to dilate (widened), increasing blood flow.

  • Flushing: If someone already has rosacea, this increased blood flow creates severe facial flushing and inflammation, which can accelerate tissue swelling over time.

Because many people with severe rosacea experience flare-ups when drinking, the condition became unfairly stigmatised and falsely linked entirely to alcoholism. In reality, anyone can develop rhinophyma, regardless of whether they drink alcohol.

Whatever, you believe what you want from Google. It's paInful for me just to argue this with you. So, I'm out.

I mean physical problems aside from whatever mental issues he's dealing with. Mentally, that guy is not ok. Those two often are intertwined.

Deadly combo for sure.

RD also has those insanely nice blue eyes tho right, if we being honest I think most real men would agree, nice eye colour. Pretty cool looking.

So obviously he’s aging so it looks odd. Someone find a pic of his dad or older brothers and compare. Maybe it’s a family thing.

Cocaine? Lots of ppl do cocaine every day. I don’t think it’s that. Alcohol is possible. Does seem like a is he married? Kids? I dunno then again maybe it’s like the POTUSA job there in Ottawa and it rapidly extremely rapidly ages you??? But I’d imagine RD has some demons or some reason he didn’t really make it as a QB. Wasn’t he a legend in Idaho or wherever he played ncaa? That was his athletic peak. That probably is the root cause.

I see it as him finally being the shot-caller. He isn't a backup QB. A junior coach. A first time HC. He is a 3 time GC winning HC and GM with a big money contract who took over a franchise that can't afford to say "no" to him. For all we know, he's had a forceful personality all along but had to bite down on his opinions before because he wasn't who the buck stopped with until this season.

could be that too...and in all honesty...wish our HC here had some stones to make decisions like that....and put the thought in his players that if you are sucking ass...you may not be here long...regardless of who you are...Thats the way it should be...

Being 0-7 with a team you personally built and then tossing players overboard because you need someone to blame because you kept the wrong QB and coordinators isn't having stones it's a desperate attempt to keep your job. Just saying.

I hope MOS is never in that position, but if he ever is I suspect he would act similarly. All DOA coaches do.
