I agree Kelly to Ottawa but do they really have serious weapons? Hardy is about to turn 35. Pimpleton is ok but really what a third or 4th wr? White is a really nice up and coming National. Ayberhardt is what a 2 or 3?

I think BC, Toronto, Saskatchewan and Montreal all have better groups.

Can't see why kelly would want to play in Ottawa. There's more to the problems in Ottawa than the qb position.

Dinwiddie put up with him through the suspension so with him double dipping as Coach and GM they might be one of the teams with the stomach for having him join.

So did Mark Miller & Pinball.

Kelly will go to whomever offers him the most $. His agent has said as much. Of course, he also wants a deal tied to a percentage of the SMS which isn't allowed.

In all honesty, even tho I have like many have bemoaned a lot of his play the last couple yrs, if we can actually get an O.C who isn't a doofus, shore up the Oline a bit and have game plans and schemes set to provide more of what we saw last game, and if ZC wants to still play, I wouldn't be opposed to him being brought back ....BUT and its a big but only if he is back maxed out at 400k....And preferably any bonus..or bulk of it being from winning the QB1 spot outta camp after a legit open competition

No other QB is gonna be available to us other than what we currently have, and any that may be isn't really gonna vault past any returnees either

Surround him...with best team (earned spots that is) and have at er...His experience and what he saw, and adjusted at L.O.S for last game alone is valuable...and was key in that win...Gotta give props where they are due.

If he is healthy...has the fire...and comes in 200k cheaper....with right supporting cast (players and coaches) its got potential, and allows for development of either or both of Perkins and TE to not be forced...Not sure if Brown is gonna be here...as he is a FA correct? I see him as a stop gap at best, and realistically cant see him as "the man" for next 5...6 yrs

Bemoaned? Niiiice.

His agent is from Saskatchewan so that should come as no surprise.

A real pro could use MOS and besmirch in the same sentence.

That was another frustrating game to watch. Another good half until the SK kick return and subsequent TD. I had a (bad) gut feeling at that point especially since SK was to start the second half with the ball. And, sure enough the Bombers did it again!

I had a quick look at some of the simple team stats and kept it to the West only. So, the Bombers are 5th in points scored per game and 4th in points allowed per game. And, come in 5th in point differential at -39. This is definitely not a winning combination. The Bombers are basically where they should be in the standings. I hate to say it but it might be a "good" thing if they finish last in the West and out of the playoffs. Hopefully, the required (IMO) shakeup will then occur.

Something definitely needs to happen. Our front office is not good enough, our coaching not good enough, and our players are not good enough. TIme for a rebuild.

I loudly scoffed at this notion earlier in the season but I'm on board now.

It's not to the point of a full on rebuild. Just needs some strategic changes. Like they're at worst and 8 win team with a few things going different could have won double digits.

There's no need for over reactions. Just make some smart moves in the offseason.

Our core has aged out and we have the wrong coaching staff and GM to implement youth. Sorry but it's time to blow it up.

Needing to rebuild the Dline, Oline, Canadian talent and linebackers, possibly finding a new QB and getting younger isn't a major rebuild?

Oh I don't think it's as dire as all that. We might have some linebacker options in house already, maybe play FA for DL. Canadians you address through the draft.

Again some better decisions throughout the year this team could have won 10 or 11 games. It's not like we're Ottawa here.

I think you're really discounting how many key players on this team are at the end.

We also have been handing our high picks off to Ottawa for the next couple drafts and been largely whiffing on drafts this decade, about the same as Ottawa.

Biggest issue will be QB. We are about to fall off a cliff with Canadians on O, where we've been relying on starting 5-6 even when using a lot of American OL.

Yea...I'd like to stay optimistic but it's ugly,

It's the CFL, smart decisions can fix this.

I don't know that making smart decisions is this regime's forte.

Im not sure that it can all get done in one offseason in the SMS era. A rebuild needed to start this season so that next season with a lot of work we may have been there. We have 2 offseasons worth of work to do before we can be legit contenders again imo.
