Noeller Posted Saturday at 07:26 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 07:26 PM “I agree to a certain extent, then there’s a certain extent that I don’t agree with. It is what it is, but obviously, we have to have a lens. That’s one of the things I always talk about. Players have to have lenses; coaches do too. We’ve got to do a better job getting our players prepared to win football games. I think we had some adversity last year. I thought we handled it the best way we could, but there’s some things that we need to get better at. And then there’s a reason why some of the guys that were on my staff aren’t coming with me to Ottawa.” Dinwiddie only brought two coaches with him from Toronto to Ottawa — receivers coach Pete Costanza and quarterbacks coach Drew Tate — choosing to fill the rest of his staff with new faces or incumbents. wbbfan 1

Toronto just sounds like an absolute dumpster fire off the field. Even Pinball wants out or at least wants to reduce his involvement. https://3downnation.com/2026/01/17/mike-pinball-clemons-mum-on-toronto-argonauts-tampering-allegations-john-murphy-departure/ wbbfan 1

Yeah, Pinball used to be a very popular player across canada. Now, he can't even say that Murphy approached the Riders without his knowledge. Which means that could be a lie as well & he knew. As in gave Murphy permission to do so. Just that Mace ratted the Argos out. Pinball's integrity is shot. Tracker 1

Maybe it goes up 100k tho. But prob nothing insane.

This isn't new. been talked about before. Just shows how ridiculous our rookie salary cap is. At the same time, there are 90 spots available on an NFL roster. The majority of these coddled kids won't be playing in the NFL. Edited 17 hours ago by SpeedFlex27

The bigger problem are all the guys stunting their development because they are going to 7 schools in 6 years. The CFL is always going to only be attractive to people who want to keep playing. It's not life changing money for any American player or QB. Most guys who play QB in NCAA have their families spending as much money on QB and 7 on 7 camps when they are in high school as they will make on a CFL rookie deal. Piggy 1, Noeller and rebusrankin 3
Booch Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago some those guys making NILS money will hardly get a shot in NFL as well...so yes if they wanna play...then theu have really only one legit place I think the league should have a rookie entry level max for that first contract...Have the current first yr salary as the floor....and max it at 150k per yr for draft picks and guys signed out of the U.S be it a college grad...or a guy with some NFL time bouncing around, as you would find a better stream of guys become available wbbfan 1
rebusrankin Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I think the idea of an extra spot for a developmental Canadian QB is a solid idea. I also like the idea of having a higher 1st year salary for some new players like QBs. wbbfan 1
