I sure money is not an issue, and really if they approached some corporate businesses and said we looking to do a program as such, would you like to be a part of it and inject some funds...win win all around...positive exposure for all involved and a tax write of for the Company being part of it The legue has failed on several areas in the 2020's to promote and get exposure with the archaic buffoon's who are running things....They need fresh thinkers and new minds that know what the current landscapes are If their own organizations don't even want to send them, who's going to publish the articles? True, just because the CFL pays for a beat writer to come doesn't mean the writer's paper will publish any stories. Mark H., Piggy 1 and HardCoreBlue 2 1

Goalie Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago CFL needs players who are marketable. Surely there’s some interesting personalities in the league. They should get them all together. 1 guy each team and remake we are the world but make it we are the cfl. That would get some views.

The Blue can dress Jake Thomas up like Homer and do skits where everyone on this board is Grimes being baffled at how JT still has his job. rebusrankin, bigg jay, Bigblue204 and 1 other 4

I heard the Bombers had a contest to redo the jerseys and JT won by adding racing stripes to the helmets. MOS was quite impressed. Brandon, rebusrankin and 17to85 1 2

JT is everything that's wrong with the Bombers. On any other team, he'd have been cut long ago. Booch, wbbfan, 17to85 and 3 others 4 1 1

People can laugh all they want at this with a wave of their hand but this is bang on. Obviously it does not mean that our 39th best player who plays nose is the main reason for our downturn. It's silly and misguided to interpret it that way. Don't think specific player, think mindset and approach using a specific example. E.g., roster management, recruiting, playcalling, loyalty versus onfield performance etc etc etc. MOS has confirmed all of this needs improvement/course correction to get us back to the top. Noeller Posted 5 hours ago Author Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) It is EXTREMELY hyperbolic to say that Jake Thomas is EVERYTHING that's wrong with this team.... The only issue with Jake the past two years is that they gave him Prime Doug Brown snaps. Used sparingly, it would have been fine and far less glaring. He just doesn't have that much juice anymore. Going forward, if much prefer to see Cam Lawson and Tanner Schmeckel if we're going to carry NI DL... Edited 5 hours ago by Noeller Bigblue204 1

The fact that it's now 2025 and we're still talking about him and he's still playing that kind of a role, is a huge fail for this team. SpeedFlex27, Goalie and Booch 1 2

Goalie Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Jake isn’t the biggest issue with the team as kolo and some others probably factor more into crap play on the field but yes he’s the example of poor roster management. Was it 2018 he was cut? 7 years later he’s starting. That’s just ****** up. Noeller, Booch and Bigblue204 2 1
Noeller Posted 4 hours ago Author Report Posted 4 hours ago He's absolutely an example of using the roster poorly but it's wildly unfair to make him the whipping boy. HardCoreBlue 1
Goalie Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) But here’s the thing. And I’m not but kinda am comparing things. But talent level is just completely different. The Cleveland browns selected DT Mason Graham. DE Myles Garrett is gonna set the single season sack record this year. Seems like the ends are more effective when playing with better talent. Shocker. Willie or Vaughters prob would have been better playing beside a Doug brown but they played beside Jake. Edited 3 hours ago by Goalie

Bigblue204 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I'm currently re-watching the 2019 GC game. And JT was pretty effective, even blowing up Banks on a sweep. But he also had tremendous help around him. Side note - Suitor kept complementing Collaros on a few passes that were very clearly badly thrown. lol. Lawler and Demski both had at least a step on their defender on a corner route and both had to stop and come back to an underthrown ball and make great catches. Which just drives home the fact that Collaros has only ever been as good as the guys around him in his time here. Booch 1

But yes, every one playing beside guys like stove, drake, prime wj/jj was gonna shine. Sad that iirc stove still hasn't turned 30. And his career is basically a season and a half of utter dominance. Hasn't seen the field since 21 here. He was such a monster when he came back from injury in that stretch run. Really crazy to think that JJ, Stove, and Kongbo all peaked here in 21 at a pretty young age. Then WJ and Jake drag them selves on and on playing as a shell of their former self. Booch and Bigblue204 1 1
17to85 Posted 59 minutes ago Report Posted 59 minutes ago Stove was so good and it is such a shame injuries derailed him like that. You hate to see it.

Well, he is. Thomas on the roster starting is THE BIGGEST fail of this this organization. You may not like the criticism of O'Shea but if Osh wants to get everyone's attention to prove he's changed then releasing Thomas needs to be done. Thomas is the face of this team's country club memberships. Ain't happening.
