I always have faith... I'm excited to hear the pressers later this week. Nobody will get thrown under the bus but we'll be able to read between the lines...

Who are these high end rookies not playing? Name one. Name a guy that's sitting on our depth chart now or formerly that has been good here or elsewhere.. ONE just ONE.

I think what he meant was "high up-side" players... and there certainly were some that didn't (or took forever to) get a fair look... For example Shay, Smith, Cam Allen, Woodbey, Munier-Bailey, Jawarski, Jenkins,... I know those last two were added late but showed enough that one should've been rostered for the playoff game... flip the ratio to reinforce the OL... instead of vets having their spots carved in stone (to steal a saying someone else used here)... there should be a competition and let the best players play... and if the team isn't good enough... start bringing in reinforcements, until the team is good enough

The riders started 4 Canadian receivers and 4 American OL last night... they adjusted their ratio to give them the best chance... they weren't sporting the best receiving group you can imagine... but Trevor Harris had time for a coffee break after every snap and had no problem distributing the ball...

For me, I expect to be looking forward to individual development. Seeing some young guys take the next steps and maybe move up to an all star level.

I'll have hope if Thomas & Kolo aren't brought back & we sign some quality CFL OL & DL free agents.

No one on planet earth is signing a 1 year coaching deal... That's not how it works.

Two year deals would have been acceptable. .

I look forward to irrationally getting excited about anyone we sign in FA and all our draft picks.

One thing that the commish said this past week that I'm excited about is he really wants to make FA Day a bigger deal. More excitement (similar to th NHL). Hopefully he can get TSN to get behind that... We need more offseason stuff to keep the passive fans engaged.

For me personally, I'm not that big of a hockey fan, so the offseason is long. Ice fishing and curling are all I have to get me through, and in Alberta that's ******* depressing.....

This was my thought once I heard they were coming back.   But nix the part of free agents.  They need to go.

Re:two year deals.   My personal opinion is that they have 1 year to fix the mess.  And the remaining 2 to be back at the top.

Year 1 we win the Grey Cup

Year 2 we win the Grey Cup

Year 3 we win the Grey Cup

There just needs to be "trending upward..." In year 1. Like, the nose of the plane needs to be pulled up. If we see that, I'm more than good...

If we crater next year like the Stamps did in 2023 & 24 & they have two years left they won't be going anywhere because of the admin cap. Osh is on top right now. He should hjave cashed in & gone to the Argos or Ti Cats & had a fresh start. In 3 years time, Osh's name could be mud in the CFL & no one may want to hire him if we don't make a comeback. He's taking a big risk career wise coming back here if he doesn't fix things. Both Walters &  Osh should fear failure & not a kick in the ass from Miller. Their careers may be on the line.

Dave Naylor & farhan Lalji said on one of their Grey Cup reports last week that Dru Brown may be free if Ryan Dinwiddie wants to bring in Chad Kelly or Nick Arbuckle to Ottawa via trade. One of the destinations he said could be Winnipeg where Brown could spend the year backing up Zach, still learn more from him & then be the heir apparent. What's your thoughts on that, everyone?

Honestly I think they should worry about making the draft relevant first.  That's an actual event.  Free agency isn't really.  It's streams and trickles of information over 2-3 weeks.

Free agency in the giant leagues is big because there's basically networks that exist to cover that.  TSN/SN primarily cover the NHL.  ESPN covers NFL, NBA and MLB.  All of these leagues have their own networks in the USA with some carriage in Canada.  They talk about this **** 24/7 and most of the time with the NHL and July 1 they have almost nothing to talk about.  It's dead air and they have no competition other than people finding someone to do outside.

Yeah, the draft on TSN is Mickey Mouse because TSN & the CFL treat it that way. Both could do much more to make it bigger if they wanted it. Have regular updates on TSN in the off season about U Sport & players in the NCAA. Create an awareness with fans of who these players are & where they play. Do a mock draft on TSN so fans can have expectations of who their teams may select. Move the draft to a hotel meeting room or a venue where audience members scould sit. Create the illusion the Draft is a big deal. However, that would take work, money & committment. Something both the CFL & TSN don't have. And damn it, televise all 7 rounds.

Funny that we've reached the point in the cycle where MOS just doesn't love his Canadians enough, or in the right way.

Sure we could find receipts about how people felt about giving Jesse Briggs reps at WIL, having Kramdi take a breath on a CFL field at all.

**** almost wish he went to Toronto so we could get our board back.

I would want a medical report before signing him, but, pending that, he would instantly become our best prospect for starter. That O-line, though.....
