Who left the first chance they got that we didn't want to keep or didn't want to overpay? I'm interested to hear this impressive list of yours.

It's an absurd statement that's not worth dignifying...

So Oakman suspended and released from the team.....Well one less D lineman to worry about!

Defensive lineman Shawn Oakman has been suspended indefinitely for violating the Canadian Football League’s Gender-Based Violence and Harassment Policy, the league announced on Friday, and the team also announced that they have released the fifth-year veteran.

The suspension is effective immediately, and the Alouettes made the decision to release Oakman effective immediately as a result.

When you write something like this you should make sure you’re clutching your pearls. :)

Love you Go Bombers Go!

At the very least this game may be the swan song for a few players. Silver lining?

And if they win and certain players we slam here light it up i’ll take the I told you so. Don’t care as long as we win.

Amen!

Bunch of vets deciding to go off and have a turn back time game? Absofuckinglutely will take that

I think that's our only real chance in playoffs...save for a BO...Pokey...WJ...any other whipping boy pulling off a one off game better not have that save their seat at the table next yr if we bring Osh back...as we all know he will

Only someone still living in 2021 believes the Bombers are still a destination point for free agents. At the same time, why would anyone stick around here as a young & promiusing players when they get continually passed over by washed up veterans like Thomas. Or when Osh plays games with the roster like dressing almost 10 linebackers for today's game? Sad part is if we fluke a win today, he'll get a new contract & what we see will continue until the wheels finally fall off.

Just speculating, but I think Andrew Harris and Hardrick had as much or more to do with building the “culture” here as anyone.

The team lost a lot of the edge they played with after those guys left.

Not the sole reason it declined by any means but their mentality was a huge part of driving the dominance of 2021.

Combine that with the natural decline in play/loss of Biggie, WJ and other guys with big leadership qualities aging or moving on.
Not really replacing/bringing in those type of magnetic personalities through FA or scouting and you’re left with the serviceable but unspectacular types that dominate the roster now.

The one name that maybe fits the "sick of Bombers BS" is maybe Jackson Jeffcoat? Or maybe Geoff Gray? Maybe Darvin Adams?

Almost everyone else seems like an obvious case of leaving for money (Dobson, Whitehead, Houston, Castillo, Lawler x2, Ford, Brown) or players the Bombers were clear they were moving on from (Harris, Bighill, Bailey, Wolitarski, Augustine).

There is also that strange subset of players that were flawed (injury prone) that the bombers maybe waited too long on and then left (Grant, might include Jackson in here).

Maybe some of the fringe players who have cycled through the Bombers and then became fringe players elsewhere might count ( the Fox's and Garbutt's of the world) but if they were disgruntled probably why they ended up as a fringe player elsewhere

We moved on from all 3 of those players. Jeffcoat retired, Adams was with Ottawa until he was released during the season. I think Gray must have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Woli almost left...was gonna before his 2nd deal but players talked him out of it

Bolo scramned and was pissed after 2023 Grey cup when 3 recievers...Bailey.. demski and schoen couldn't even run and he stood on sideline all game and got no snaps..after game he said he was gone

And there are others...and fact we pay guys who basically are not worthy over younger guys who could have serious potential so they have to leave cause its a "apparent money issue" is just a joke and excuse.. players talk..small community and many know in order to have real opportunities here..extended reps and ability to up yiur dollars with play and accumulated stats and film...if you don't fit a certain "criteria" or are battling with an Osh holdover/fave who is a lesser player as well...then this is not your best option...believe it if you will...or don't...you all have your own choice and opinion...but also...don't kid yourselves either

Jeffcoat retired from being lowballed...and didnt wanna play elsewhere...he had good offers from sask and cgy...and said no

Payed fairly...he would have been back

Fox is not a fringe players in Hamilton...he had been real good...Garbutt wasn't either and looked good but git hurt and been out all yr

hell yeah brother.  right now in 2025 I am grateful for every CFL kickoff.

Yup. We have 5 CFL games left, and although I want this pathetic season's edition of the Bombers to be euthanized, I am sad that we will not be particpating int he post- season beyond today. The Grey Cup game has lost ,uch of its luster for me, If the Bombers were a good team beaten by a better team, there is some consolation in that. These Bombers are, on a good day, a mediocre team and on bad days, a terrible one. Although most of the blame is not on the players, they will still feel the brunt of the loss as will the fanes. Such is life (and football).

Adam's played all 18 games with Ottawa, he was not released during the season.  He became a FA after the season and that was all she wrote for his CFL career.

You’ll believe on Sunday what you believed on Friday regardless of what happens Saturday.
