So the game is meaningless from our end as we can't pass Calgary and BC. Its the ESF for us. To me, they should sit Zach to keep him healthy. I'd also like to see Shay and Smith gets reps at linebacker. Call me crazy, but it would be nice to see our two high draft picks get actual reps on D.

I would be shocked if that Dl, despite being very green, didn't out perform most of what we've seen from the unit this year. 

 Many of the changes are as expected, interesting that they are flipping echols and wheatfall though. 

I get that by keeping Makonzo on the 6 game, we don't have any of his salary cap all year, but dam,n why keep him around if you don't use him even in a game like this? Dudes been full practices since just before LD. \

I agree, they must like what they've seen of the two rookie de's in practice,  and allowing Jefferson and Vaughters to rest is good as theyve been overworked this year with us only going with 6 dlinemen vs other teams 9 or 10 for most of the season.

 

I don't mind the resting of some of our veterans. Is Montreal doing something similar?

This looks like the first time all season they're using the roster rules accordingly....

Yeah, I hope so. Otherwise, I would think Adams would come back in since he has played end and can play inside.

Montreal's roster will likely depend on what happens in Hamilton, as they can still capture the Eastern final. I expect at least they will play their starters for a good half of the game on offence. I doubt they will have time to prep for a pre season style game and prep for a game to win, so I expect them to prep to play to win. Then take their foot off after a half if the game ends up being none relevant.

Doesn't look like we've used the designated national/american still. 

Montreal appears to be starting all their regulars but as mentioned that could change depending on what happens with Hamilton's game ..

Alexander will play since he really hasn’t all year. I’d expect Montreal to play starters into the 3rd even 4th since DA has been on the IR for half the season. At this point they prob on their way or here so it’s not like they can bring 15 extra guys with them. The roster size is only so big. Surely they have released their depth chart also. 

What’s the over under on 10 passes for Streveler. Man imagine you’re cam Echols and you getting your redemption shot and Streveler is throwing you the ball. Christ. I’d have played Zach for a series or 2. I’d have then played Wilson until the 4th and then give Artopoeous the 4th. Not dressed Streveler. If Streveler has to play next week we are screwed, think we are regardless but a guy you don’t trust to pass the ball 10 times a game ? Why. Give the kids more of the game. We know what Strev can and can’t do. Let’s see more Wilson and Artopeus.

Maybe the Bombers are hoping for a game in Montreal and the wind is like the end of the game of the final game last season and they hope to just pound the ball with Brady and Streveler for 300 yards or so

I was talking about essentially punting this game and choosing to cross over and play Montreal at home in the playoffs!

If they’re going full preseason it would make sense to give the other QBs lots of reps. Ideally Strev only plays a couple of series, maybe a quarter. 

We don’t know one way or the other about Wilson but after 2 seasons it’s kind of **** or get off the pot time.

Yep, other teams have given reps to their 3rd string guys either by choice (like Sask last week with Coan) or by circumstance (Toronto & Doege).  It would be nice to know what Wilson can do at some point.

Resting who they did makes sense for the most part. Either young guy who is our only hope to win in the playoffs (Vaval, BO, Pokey) or old guys that could use a rest (Zach, Bryant, Willie and Vaughters). 

I do wonder if they aren't happy with Person's play and are auditioning the other young DEs.

Telling that Person, Adams and Weitz are on PR while others have been shifted to 1 game IR.

Snead is Montreal's only GTD.

Montreal's roster is set. A Hamilton win would determine how long the Al starters play.

Honestly, not resting Kola or JT for playoffs is pure insanity…  I mean sure we won’t know the difference on the field but the disrespect is unreal.
