Seriously though... what do we have to lose starting Terry Wilson next game??? Accidentally finding a good QB? Or, as some have posted here, TW is not good enough, CS and ZC are the best we have. If factual, wtf is he doing on our roster then? If we are reluctant to play our depth because they’re not good enough help me understand how that is not a huuuge problem. wbbfan and Goalie 2

I’m not sure I’m a fan of the very little pressure on purpose D. It doesn’t seem to be working cuz we lack the talent. How many sacks do we have. I’d assume there are players on other teams who have more or close to what we have. That’s a problem. Younger scheme not as effective as Richie. Teams figured it out late last yr...and refined it this yr....we adjusted nothing ...and didnt upgrade guys to play it right outta the gate... Goalie 1

But maybe cuz pre season. I’m not even sure. Give our draft picks some reps on D. What is that about. That’s a weird one. Were those Kyle picks and Osh not a fan?? I mean why ain’t they getting reps on D. Wilson? He’ll get his reps when both Zach and Strev are in the icu. Edited 16 hours ago by Goalie
Booch Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Watching them...eye test...throwing motion...pocket presence...Wilson actually looks best...has best arm too...just needs reps But.....as we know....we have Osh...its his way or no way...and he will not use a guy over a vet...a fav....or a guy he still thinks is the bees knees Piggy 1 1

I know the reason for certain players JT ZC for example is ride and die with them, they've earned that respect, that right even if it costs the team. Half of me really admires that, half of me not so much.

We piss away cap space on players who rarely if ever get a chance to contribute so what does it matter if it's QB3, WR, LB or any other position?
Stickem Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Not easy parting way with a personality like Streve...His rah rah stuff is infectious and it has it's place on the club BUT I along with a lot of other fans are always hoping to see something better in his play..Is he still capable of being the player he was??? So far it hasn't materialized and we're in a state with this club right now that patience is wearing thin...The team around Chris in general isn't near the quality as it was in the 'fur coat days' so there's that ...I say he still gets a shot to prove his worth to the team....what the hell else have we got to lose BUT for cripes sake if he has another game, like the last one, it's time to play Wilson... IF Zack can't go that's the only option...I keep pulling for Streve and we all know 'hope' springs eternal
rebusrankin Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Let's be honest, we need a massive off season overhaul which is going to involve hard decisions and saying goodbye to some long time stalwarts. Tracker and TBURGESS 2

My concern with wilson is he doesn’t seem to have timing, touch/accuracy on intermediate stuff and I didn’t see him take any steps forward from last year. He’s one of those home run swing prospects. his ceiling is very high if he puts every thing together, but he seems far from that point, very low floor. For my money, Grainger has more arm talent and significantly more dynamic talent, and was only a bit more raw. We saw dru brown start off with a really low floor and high ceiling, but he showed significant improvement after every opportunity. Wilson not seeming to have any of those steps this deep into year 2 worries me. reminds me a lot of dom davis. That said he hasn’t seen action since pre season, but with how limited/low quality practice reps are now I have a hard time seeing him take a step forward. But, we don’t stand to lose a lot by giving him a shot. he Should've gotten reps in the last game. If zach isn’t at practice to start the week, we should see roster moves. one way or another we need to bring in another qb with experience in the cfl. rebusrankin and HardCoreBlue 2
Brandon Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago If guys like Dolegala and Patterson a few years back were able to walk into the CFL and be able to throw for 250 yards .... their is no excuse that a vet like Strev struggles mightily to do the same this far along his career. We can't blame LaPolice and his dink and dunk game for what is happening this season. rebusrankin and Bubba Zanetti 2

Option 1A and Option 1B cannot both be always "one hit" away from being compromised which then results in sub par performance. I could not understand why this season they would use Strev as a "battering ram" or run short yardage when Wilson is healthy and helllllllluva better at short yardage. Our o-line is not great, but we've had games where the QB has had time to throw and they end up holding onto the ball and/or tossing it into triple coverage. In the old days, Glenn played behind some poop o-lines but his ability to take two steps back and rifle the ball out made a huge difference in negating the rush. With Zach + Strev it feels like they must roll out and need several seconds for a play to generate only for Zach to toss it into triple coverage or Strev dumping it down for a 6 yard pass. We used to carve up teams with quick strikes where a Demski / Lawler / Schoen would catch the ball 12 yards out in stride and then gain the extra 5 - 15 yards. It's part of the combo of why we are limping badly this year. My order of issues would be 1 - OC 2 - QB play 3 - O-line I don't think the receivers are a huge problem and clearly Brady is the only one playing at an all star level. Edited 6 hours ago by Brandon

Mark H. Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago I have disagree about the OL when Glenn was the QB. Those lines were decent: Goodspeed, Gauthier, Khan/Picard, Sheridan, Greene, Labatte Noeller 1
