I hope it's nice. I'm getting a nice treat that game. Was nominated for coach of the week. My club (Rods) get $500 donation and I'm getting a $100 GC to the Bomber store and get to go on the field for

could be. Lions have 4 lts, he’s pencilled in no3 with an injury to decker who likely will be back in mid to late September.
Could be any where from Ar to gone. Skipper likely starts, if jamarco jones backs him up manu is on the out side looking in.

Yeah he in tough...not sure he will get PR'd elsewhere...or wait it out a bit...or just come up to get some playtime here

He'd be a huge addition none the less...and could anchor a tackle spot for yrs ..well if we pay him after rookie deal

Yeah. If he comes up, I think you need to dress him immediately. That’s a sick 6th ol, at worst. Some one probably try to scoop him on the pr too.

Based on ??? I mean gonna be honest guys. Most the guys you push as the next great thing end up out the league in a year. What is any of this based on? Feelings I guess.

Check out Hamilton's DL, just for starters

Sayles is good but fox and garbutt spent lots of time on the injury report when here and quite honestly were underwhelming. I mean ppl could go back and read the posts about them towards the end and the majority felt it was time for changes there also. A few good games and a couple sacks don’t change things really. Yes our DL sucks but fox and garbutt were already here and the DL sucked then also. Why ppl pretending the DL hasn’t been an issue for 2 3 seasons. The DT position hasn’t been great since Doug brown retired. Stove was good but he’s out the league now. Left and got hurt immediately. The DEs have been crap since Jeffcoat retired. Doug brown was replaced by Jake Thomas and the other end was habba and garbutt who weren’t good here. Ppl grew tired of them quickly. The problems on DL are talent related for sure. Was last year when 3 of those Hamilton DL were here also. The DEs and DT in camp were better than our starters. They kept the wrong players out of camp. Not signing Fox Habba or Garbutt aren’t the reason our DL sucks.

That must mean ppl watch other games. I’ve seen a few. All I know is don’t see guys wide open every play in other games. That’s partially talent or lack of and it’s partially scheme.

Who you talking about?

Some people can’t see the Forrest from the trees so they believe no one else can either. Can’t talk people like that out of their position with logic, because they didn’t get to it by logic.

Gio is the most impressive ol prospect in the cfl draft, and out of the Canadian college system in 20ish years. Literally his only knock in the nfl is, he played his ball up here before going pro. If he had played a decent career at Alabama, he’d a been a top 5-10 nfl pick. He’s 6’7 350+, with a 90th percentile athletic testing in run and jump drills, by nfl ol standards. His 10 yard splits are faster than some of our skilled position imports.
Hes more athletic than Dobson, significantly taller, jacked and long arms. Hes built like a madden custom character.
Dobson struggled to stay explosive and powerful in his frame as he dropped weight. Gio is stronger and more explosive in a build that doesn’t need to drop a pound.

Hes also a tackle in the cfl. Gabe Wallace has some potential to be a rt. Gio is a tackle day one. He arrives here, he’s the best ol to land here since desjarlais. Import or Canadian.

In football teams cover tall long Tackles for their potential to play with great bend and leverage, manu is already there.
The nastiness we scout first and foremost in ol? That we draft inspite of the rest of the tool box? He’s got that too.

If manu was 6’1, and 310 he’d still be a top pick in the CFL draft. If he wasn’t nasty and have the high quality footwork he has, he’d still be a first round talent.
The only reason we got his rights is he had soo much going for him he was selected in the 4th round of the nfl draft. Know who else was drafted that high in the nfl on the bombers? No one. He’s a bigger stronger leaner more explosive vanterpool/randolph.

Any one who wants to see for them self, skip his college tape and watch him manhandle nfl players in ps with the lions. Lots of film available it’s extremely impressive.

That’s not even the question. The question is how and what do you watch? Are you watching the line play, are you watching the coverage reading the play as it develops, or are you following the ball and looking at the qb?
Watching football and following the qb/ball with your eyes is like driving on a scenic road, and staring at the head of the person in the seat beside you.
I watch line play in general because it’s what I understand the best, and up here we don’t get great angles in general. And tbh passing concepts are not terribly interesting up here. Oh it’s flood to the field side again. Oh it’s dagger in the boundary.

Yeah...A 6'7 350 pound Canadian tackle who runs a sub 5 forty...one who and NFL team traded up for in the NFL draft...I'd take a flyer

He was raw at first down there last yr and had improved alot...but still may be seen as a project and long shot so could be cut...be a stud here tho...if he ends up here we are laughing...guy will dominate

kinda what I thought too....doesnt realy inspire much

Funny how Walters suddenly woke up from his slumber & realized we need receivers yet when guys were available last February did nothing in free agency.

Not sure if anyone's posted it yet (I've thankfully muted a number of regulars here... Whew) but it sounds like Collaros is okay. Was on the latest Handled Internally pod and (even though he called it Upper Body) basically said it was concussion related. Wouldn't 100% confirm he's good for this weekend but said he'll see how the week goes.

Did nothing or signed 4 FA receivers?  Does 4=0?

If 4 ineffectual guys is doing something I guess that's success...of the 4 who is making a difference?

Or is top 4 in league...there were 3 or 4 guys available we could have signed.  But opted for basically scraps

I'm not sure we see Manu this year. Lions drafted him knowing he was raw (at least from an NFL perspective) but with huge upside. Apparently they feel he's made significant strides over the past year.

yeah he has progressed for sure...still tho in a tough spot and likely gets another PR yr in him....which is a benefit to us as he will get way better training and coaching there for when he is out of chances and wants to actually play and makes his way here...

It's a gamble for sure. I think the biggest thing in favor of him ending up here this year is that the Lions have a medium-term injury to their starting RT, and because of that, picked up 2 guys who are firmly 1/2. Better recovery than expected could mean he gets pushed out.

The NFL also expects athletic and physical outliers. If a guy doesn't crack playing quickly enough in his career, he ends up surrounded by other outliers who are younger. Based on his play in PS and the bit I saw in OTAs, he deserves to be playing on an AR in the NFL. You also don't get nearly as much from a 2nd year on a PR as you do from a first. Linemen especially hit a point of diminishing returns quickly on PRs. A minor hitch in his health probably ends up with him being replaced. That said, with the size of NFL PRs, and importance of Ts, he could well get a look else where.

Deuce aka the number 2 aka ****. Sounds right

i wanted to be negative for negativity’s Sake. No idea who he is.

Bombers need to be careful here. If he arrives but doesn't work out, they will be accused of "dropping a deuce".

I mean they just did that in back to back games against Calgary so I guess s**t happens. 💩

I think he's been a full participant in practice the last couple of days. Sounds like they kept him out Friday for precautionary reasons and he never had to enter the protocol proper.

I think that's going to be standard procedure with starting QB's, pull him out of the game so they can start again next week without the PA or league intervening.  I bet VA will be ready to play next week.

Would love to see what he's capable of in the CFL. smaller quicker back, doesn't have great break away speed and I'm not sure on his catching ability. But I don't think he's going to be in the NFL much longer honestly.
