He needs to process what’s happening faster. I thought the 4th stringer’s arm looked good. Looked to me like he had zip on the ball throwing to the sideline. He should have had a td pass but Wallis got jammed at the line and was a step behind. The ball was in the perfect spot if Wallis gets a better release. Like our 4 QBs. Chase should sit on the pr and get time down there until elgersma comes available any way. sweep the leg 1

Agree, Chase Artopeus had that Dru Brown vibe, cool and intelligent, maybe not as physically gifted as Wilson but almost surpassed him in effectiveness in one set of downs. They need to keep him around on the PR to evaluate whether he has real potential to develop or if he's just a gifted improviser that can get by faking it for awhile. Second, Osh says won't be a problem to keep an American RB like Cooley. That's helpful. Third, my goodness I love the CFL and am so excited to listen to a game again. Will watch the CFL+ replay tomorrow. Summer is here... Very excited for what I think is going to be a very good Bombers D. Hoping the O can be at least "decent" and we'll be a real "tough out" in 2025... Cooley might have to spend time on the PR biding his time waiting for a chance that might never come, Peterson already looks quite capable of backing up Brady, so it comes down to ratio. I'd love to see Pigrome and Cooley on the field at the same time, that would be fun.
do or die Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago New guys: 1. Cooley......yeah the ratio, but another game like that, and he will have to be kept. 2. Artopoeous......nice pocket instinct, good reads, ball out on time. 3. Evan......punter, with some actual leg. Vets: 1. Adams......need more impact plays from interior, and he looks like the man for the job. 2. Strev......looked good standing in the pocket, and slinging the ball. 3. Ayers.....dude popped out on the screen, at LB, a number of times Like: The blitzing and pressure packages on D. None of that Tim Burke crap All the QBs looking pretty good in the pocket No like: Kick returns and coverage (sigh) Some of the receivers.......poor releases, poor pattern running, poor catching. wbbfan, rebusrankin, Piggy 1 and 1 other 2 2

Doublezero Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago 13 hours ago, JuranBoldenRules said: Funny thing about the complaining about kick returns as some kind of franchise curse is we have the most total return TD's and fewest return TD's scored on us among CFL teams in the past 10 CFL seasons. I agree, kick/punt cover and returns are not a curse for us. But for one side of the equation - most TDs scored - I'd venture to say this is because we had Janarion Grant in Blue & Gold from 2019 to 2023. And if you look at total yards gained on kick and punt returns since we let Grant get away, Bombers are just about the worst in the league. This, despite the fact we force opponents to kick to us more often than virtually every other team - credit our defence for forcing those 3rd down punts. Really, that is an opportunity squandered: more punts coming to us, but among fewest yards gained. Bomber fans see this intuitively - we are getting lots of chances to return the ball but often losing the overall field position battle. BBlink and Piggy 1 2

I missed the start of the game due to the CFL website being trash but I'm sure J.T was as always the best player on the field. 2. Our punter/holder. 5 for 5 on field goal holds. When you hold that well does it really matter how well you punt? Ask coach O'Shea he'll tell ya. 3. Our kick return/coverage. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Who's the last dangerous returner that we as an organization found? Grant was released from another CFL team and so was Stokes. Unacceptable Happy Honker goes to the Riders...F*ck all of you, we hate you all. You suck. And even though this game had all the intensity of a book signing. It's always nice to beat them. Unhappy honker goes to those who didn't get the memo about the team name. We're the BLUE Bombers. Not the Stumps or Red Blacks. Wear the right coloured gear or get a bus ticket out of the city. The only players in my opinion who can wear whatever they want is Castillo, Brady, Zach, Willie and Big Stan. The rest don't even have the option. Go Blue! Let's beat them again next weekend. Evans was holding fgs also.
